I will not tolerate slacker magician slander! She is great in purrely with a secret village of the spellcasters/rainbow bridge of salvation engine, since she saves 1 ed spot because she doubles as a zeus enabler and if she is your spellcaster for secret village on top of protecting herself from batle she protects herself from targeting effects which is great
To be fair, she's on the list due to being the worst of the best, not because she's actually bad. That and there's only 26 options, so what can we do...
Being useless is also a reason for a card to be terrible. And in slackers case there’s literally no reason to use it over Fucho and ESPECIALLY Lyrilusc: assembled nightingale. Also being compatible with a degenerate floodgate like secret of the village makes it even worse in my opinion.

One funny (but *incredibly* janky) use for Shamoji Soldier is alongside Droll and Lock Bird (which, since we'd be talking about a deck that can make Rank 1 monsters, can probably make use of Where Arf Thou? to search the Droll). Because the draw happens during the opponent's Standby Phase, it counts for Droll's trigger while not having to wait for the Main Phase (meaning it's likely, though not guaranteed, that you can resolve Droll before your opponent has the chance to do anything); couple this with an effect that would normally make your opponent trade out their hand for a new one (e.g. Trickstar Reincarnation or Artifact Durendal), and you get to wipe out your opponent's hand before they can do anything with it. This setup is hilarious when it works... the issue being that it's a bit tricky to pull off with any level of consistency.
@@Damy-t4v Shamoji's role is to provide the initial trigger for Droll. In order to do the Droll hand-wipe combo, you need to be able to activate the hand-exchange and chain Droll to it. Baby Tiragon is so bad that Yuma only used it Twice. In the first 10 episodes mind you, believe it or not there’s a hyper specific trap so bad that it only works if the opponent controls Baby Tiragon, and it only worked because Yuma was so Gullible!
Yeah the point of the episode was to teach players that "just because a card is bad doesn't mean it's useless". as Yuma was very offended by the card and wanted to get rid of it (despite it's protests) only for Astral to tell him to keep Tiragon alive as he had a strategy to let Tiragon win for him. He did win ultimately, but the point was there, just like the final duel between Yuma and Astral where he's faced againt 5 Utopia monsters and still manages to get past them using his Gagaga monsters and another Utopia and his signature card, "Double or Nothing".
But that's just it. 13&31 were released in late 2013/early 2014, and it took a decade for them to see serious play, and even then, not for the effect when they are together, but just for the flip effect. Maybe you can't call them "useless" anymore, but they aren't anything but niche, and that niche isn't even needed anymore, thanks to Throne and Giant
I have absolutely loved the concept of mimighoul since it was released. I love that it plays in such a unique way, but like the other guy mentioned just because they have one deck they work with 10 years after they were printed still kind of makes them suitable for this list.
I love my Assembled Nightingale and Lyrilusc deck since they introduced it to Duel Links; even I think it's a bit OP, especially when going second and with Power of the Guardians attached - it can be easily an OTK combo.
#7 - what's especially funny with those is their use in the manga. Their manga effects include that if you have one in Extra Deck and the opponent has its opposite in theirs, they auto-summon themselves to imprison and gradually break their respective users as soon as possible. And this manifested via a minor villain losing to both Shark and Kaito _on purpose_ so they could both inherit the Numbers, and then be captured when they dueled and both lost. Yuma saved them, but had to start a duel with said villain with 2002 fewer LP to gift to them to keep their duel going longer.
I think he did a meme video long ago on the attractiveness of each Number monster and how datable they were. It was all in jest, but I don't recall. It was the video that lead me to finding Duel logs in the first place several years ago.
12:50 do not underestimate the child, you can get the avian negate loop so you can succ more materials and just drop a nuke on your opponent’s turn. Or u can catapult it at ur opponent’s skull
I think the NPCs use a deck like that, except wtihout Tiragon. I'm sure a human player could find a way to make that work. Though only in Duel links where the LP is 4000 cause you'd have to attack with all three Mokey Mokeys to OTK a TCG player.
N78 number archive doesnt appear in the anime as a monster, but it does appear in the anime, its the "ship" inside the key, in which astrals store the numbers.
it should be.I really love when people genuinely use cards dubbed "the worst" just to stick it to the meta heads that there's more to the game than just "Tearlaments". XD Winning with Flying Elephant (in a legitimate duel) is WAY more satisfying than just copying a tournament winning decklist and acting like one is the best at the game. Only to trash the deck when half the cards are banned because oh surprise surprise.... no one likes building thier deck around JUST "beating tearlaments...."
Tiragon also has the unfortunate reminder of Ranks =/= Levels. as it can't use the effect on itself for a nice 900 piercing attack. THAT would've been pretty nifty. Not ultra useful, but nifty.
I used to play Baby Tyragon in my Skull Servant deck, so I can use it on King. But we have already Opti-camuflage armor, jst could get my hands on one when I was building it LOL
Yeah, Tiragon is often seen as the "worst" but there are many strategies that can make it work if you're creative enough, or playing a slower paced game like Duel Links. Note he didn't say his infamous "If your goal is to win, then don't use this card". More so a kind of sentimental "Tiragon isn't really usable but does have it's merits, you're just not likely to see it."
18:50 Idea to retain this card to play into the battle aspect more: _Number 83: Cluster Queen_ (DARK) Rank 1 Spellcaster/Xyz/Effect 3+ Level 1 Monsters _You can also Xyz Summon this card (Quick Effect) using 3 or more Monsters that are Banished or in your GY after they had destroyed by battle either during this turn or the last turn. Gains ATK/DEF equal to any Battle Damage you deal. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; until the opponent's next End Phase, the monsters you currently control cannot be destroyed by battle, and if they attack a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent._ ATK/500 DEF/500
i actually unironically used baby tiragon in my skull servant deck until i found out that the spell "Opti-Camouflage Armor" exists which does the exact same thing
I use shamoji Soldier in my light and dark kuriboh deck. It's a great addition because it also lets me draw BLS Envoy of the beginning or thunder dragonduo quicker
I was surprised Baby Tiragon was #1 on this list because I have always envisioned it to be a great card to have in your extra deck while running a strong Relinquished-based deck.
Early Rank 1 Xyz-Monsters were always nerfed by giving them a three Material Requirement. I really dont know why Konami thought that a Rank 1, that only requires two Materials would be problematic.
With Baby Tiragon, I would like to point out that making a King of Skull Servants able to attack directly can easily win a game, but that's just my opinion on best use for the card.
I always thought baby tiragon is cute, hopefully they make a rank 12 adult version of tiragon that can be ranked up XYZ summon by using baby tiragon as an XYZ material, maybe that would make baby tiragon see some play in the future
Ill never understand why so many early rank 1's required 3 materials. Maybe the designers thought tokens were legal materials? There really wasnt a way to easily generate 3 lv 1s back then.
In the anime, tokens were legal, so I feel like it was a issue of Anime v. IRL Card Game. That or it was habits kept from balancing level based monsters.
I think the idea was that level 1s were so weak, they would have tons of support to spam them out easily (like Mokey mokey decks would expect). BUT...... given the awkward level rules of 1-4 being free normal summon, 5-6 bieng 1 tribute and 7+ being 2 tribute. the levels were basically just 3 tiers. It didn't REALLY matter until the Synchro era where low levels were valuable in making synchros through the addition mechanic and Pendulums where they balanced the scale's power around the closer it is to 4, the more powerful the pendulum effect was. so 1 scale monsters are generally really weak. (oddly, there aren't many 0 scale monsters...making even pendulum summoning level 1s that much harder). so for what's supposed tob e the WEAKEST monsters...level 1s are amazingly difficult to summon. Heck Relinquished is so powerful BECAUSE it requires a level 1 to summon, being a testament to how powerful level 1s are kind of accidently meant to be.
Baby Tiragon needs an upgrade. Or we need a Level 1 Skull Servant that can bring out a lot of other servants so King of the Skull Servants can attack directly for game.
Credit where it's due, in the ZEXAL anime Baby Tiragon is called the weakest xyz monster. Not sure if that's the case per se, but weakest Rank 1 is still pretty close!
Yeah it was called the weakest because the episode was trying to teach players not to disregard monsters because they're deemed "Weak". Yuma was there to learn that attack power and powerful effects aren't all there is to Yugioh as through chaining a rather complicated set of effects he was able to win by doing 3000 damage with a direct attack. Yes it's PAINFULLY unlikely in a real game, but it CAN happen if you're forced to use him or doing a personal challenge or meme deck. No one likes losing to Flying Elephant after all. ;)
Also Number 78 is not bad. there are plenty of monsters to Benefit from it. the only downside is that you can't special summon after it but that balances it out. If they would allow more Special Summoning this card would be busted.
@12:25: - Also...how the fuck does the most anime-centric archetype ever NOT have all of it's cards appear in the show?! 🤣 I know Zexal was utter garbage, but I didn't think they cared THAT little... 💀
Cause of idiots who only watched the first 3 episodes constantly calling it garbage while the ones who actually watched the whole thing and thoroughly enjoyed it evidently aren't as loud.... Zexal is the ONLY series where the main protagonist actually sucks at dueling and gets better overtime. But it seems most people like to watch someone who's already am aster of the game and act like that's them, without actually bothering to learn how to play. Just copy the best deck list on a website and brag. Then cry and rant as you lose to a blue eyes player who actually KNOWS HOW TO PLAY.
People have changed their opinions on Yugioh Zexal it's not 2009 anymore. Yugioh Zexal was not even that bad however Yugioh Zexal's early beginning is what hurts it the most.
extremely petty correction but in the gold rat section the anime screenshot is not from ep13, its summoned a second time by vetrix in the world duel carnival finals against yuma
why is slacker magician on this list? Shes actually a really competent card that is worth considering in lots of level 1 strategies as she can easily rank up into a 4 mat zeus, whereas cards like fucho require you to detach 2, causing the zeus to only be 2 mats

@@Druid-T They absolutely saw play when they were released. Back then the lock was actually a huge game changer.
One of these days you should just do a list of the entire numbers archetype
I think he did a meme video long ago on the attractiveness of each Number monster and how datable they were. It was all in jest, but I don't recall. It was the video that lead me to finding Duel logs in the first place several years ago.
Crime and punishment actually found play in mimighoul. The deck also just received new support
12:50 do not underestimate the child, you can get the avian negate loop so you can succ more materials and just drop a nuke on your opponent’s turn. Or u can catapult it at ur opponent’s skull
No love for Baby Tiragon x Mokey Mokey Smackdown deck...? :(
I think the NPCs use a deck like that, except wtihout Tiragon.
Baby tiragon skull servant beatdown is almost a tier 0 strategy imo
it should be.I really love when people genuinely use cards dubbed "the worst" just to stick it to the meta heads that there's more to the game than just "Tearlaments".
I have Baby Tiragon to blame for being why I spent years thinking tokens could be used as XYZ material
Huh, none of them are that bad tbh. Numer 1 lets up to three monsters attack directly for crying out loud.

Still probably says something, like, I don't know, the powercreep by the time Xyz came or something.
Rongo needs a condition errata to lock him into the Heroic archetype. Make it so he needs at least 1 Heroic as material to summon or use his effects.
18:50 Idea to retain this card to play into the battle aspect more:
_Number 83: Cluster Queen_ (DARK)
Rank 1
Spellcaster/Xyz/Effect
3+ Level 1 Monsters
_You can also Xyz Summon this card (Quick Effect) using 3 or more Monsters that are Banished or in your GY after they had destroyed by battle either during this turn or the last turn. Gains ATK/DEF equal to any Battle Damage you deal. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; until the opponent's next End Phase, the monsters you currently control cannot be destroyed by battle, and if they attack a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent._
ATK/500 DEF/500
i actually unironically used baby tiragon in my skull servant deck until i found out that the spell "Opti-Camouflage Armor" exists
which does the exact same thing
shimoji soldier was great in in spyral hand looping with trickstar reincarnation/disturbance strategy
aww I got excited for a second. thought it would be the BEST rank1s, I just made a skull servant deck and was looking for extra deck techs
Well in terms of artwork I'd rate Tiragon Number 1. Cutest card in the series! Up there with Shark cat!
Top 10 Worst Cards that can recover cards from the graveyard
I’d like to believe that Devbot is trying by to tell Hiru “I’m just trying to hide a body”
Yuma combo'd Baby Toragon with Gagaga Magician, by using the latter‘s effect to make him Level 1, so that he can attack directly.
Slacker Magician maybe number 10 on this list but made some great meme duel content a decade ago 🫡
Being unaffected by effect destruction is genuinly a good effect but thwy should attach that to a decently high attack monster
Downered magician is the cannon pilot of zues
to celebrate but not, the arrival of Lilyrush in Duel Links here we have a List of Worst Rank 1.
You could use Baby Tiragon with King of the Skull Servants
Just in time for the Mimighoul support dropping in ROTA!
19:01 "you just summoned your mom" -zexal dub
To be fair
Slacker Magician in Dustons w/Battle Mania is...a hilarious OTK
I use shamoji Soldier in my light and dark kuriboh deck. It's a great addition because it also lets me draw BLS Envoy of the beginning or thunder dragonduo quicker
i remember most of these cards, we were downbad for remotely playable rank 1s, especially when ghosttrick released
the Heroic monsters need to be charged with public indecency
I was surprised Baby Tiragon was #1 on this list because I have always envisioned it to be a great card to have in your extra deck while running a strong Relinquished-based deck.
Early Rank 1 Xyz-Monsters were always nerfed by giving them a three Material Requirement. I really dont know why Konami thought that a Rank 1, that only requires two Materials would be problematic.
Idea for future videos: Top 10 Best/Worst Cards That Can Draw You More Than 2 Cards.
Jarngreiper not having his/her grippers in the art is a crime
@duellogs, I would probably try to use baby tiragon with skull servant.
Jarngreipr sporting a very... interesting looking codpiece there.
I tried 63 with Exodia decks using level 1 stall cards like Battle Fader. It had some success during its time.
No one likes losing to Flying Elephant after all. ;)
the "C" in number monsters stands for "chaos". for example: chaos number 39 - is how it would be said.
Counterpoint for number 6. Machu Mech is indeed a Number monster.
Also Number 78 is not bad. there are plenty of monsters to Benefit from it. the only downside is that you can't special summon after it but that balances it out. If they would allow more Special Summoning this card would be busted.
You should do worst overall rank. Staying away from things that don’t have strategies but are designed to be cheated out like Zeus or TY-Phon.
Top 10 cards that give you a extra normal summon
Top 10 worst requirements that extra monsters needs
20:11 - 20:29 My favorite number spell-caster
Shamoji soldier can be used to droll and lock bird your opponent before they begin their main phase
"Dude, you just summoned your mom."
Top 10 Archetypes with the most support.
Even though I got used to duellogs not able to read names right, messing up Dostoyevsky still have me pause for a second
I always thought it made no sense that the first 4 ever Rank 1 Xyz monsters all required 3 materials. Why would they do that?
Wouldn’t tiragon’s best power up target be Kurikara?
extremely petty correction but in the gold rat section the anime screenshot is not from ep13, its summoned a second time by vetrix in the world duel carnival finals against yuma
He just summon his mom 😂
Magician Slacker just need time to rank up make her mech mega. XD
How the hell did I know that baby Tiragon was gonna be number 1 😭
i thought the magicians are sisters and slacker is mad they entered her room in "get out!!"
discord mod: "yes, i do think the age of consent should be lowered to fourtee-"
slacker magician: *"GET OUT!-"*
I'm still hoping for the day we get an adult Tiragon with a cracked effect. Maybe as a rank 10
why is slacker magician on this list? Shes actually a really competent card that is worth considering in lots of level 1 strategies as she can easily rank up into a 4 mat zeus, whereas cards like fucho require you to detach 2, causing the zeus to only be 2 mats
Adorable thumbnail 👌
tbh I'm surprised that Number 54: Lion Heart didn't make this list.
Every time i see number archive, it's some heinous 20 minute combo that ends with machu mech burning me for 8k. I feel like it was almost designed for ftks specifically, since it feels like it's impossible to use it for anything else
