I have the .22 lr Black Powder version. It was originally designed by Dick Casull. And from things I've read, they used to advertise it's ability to utilize smokeless, but they were told by the ATF that
if they continued to advertise it that way, it would have to be classified as a modern firearm.
Truth or Lore, it is still a beautifully machined, crafted in the USA work of art!

I have the magnum black powder version. Super Companion; the LR size one is the Companion. I like mine a lot.
I've seen the Freedom Arms owner's manual that mentioned using 1 grain of Bullseye. I think I have a pdf of it somewhere. I have used smokeless in mine, but stopped because it bends the basepin.

I have the pocket clip on my mag version and I keep it on me at all times in the house. Clips on my boxers too

I have a 22 mag version with top break action. Good pocket / sunday dress / carry everywhere in case

Those top breaks are neat revolvers.

They are fun...! we like handing it to someone watching, and invite them to hit paper at 10 feet...few succeed, but they tend to appreciate the opportunity...at 1 inch range these guns can be deadly accurate, which is what they were designed for...

That gun violates every criteria I have for a defense gun! Must be center fire (reliability), hold a minimum of 6 rounds, quick reloading. Accuracy at 10 yards. Yet, I have carried one because it does serve ONE purpose better than any other. The perfect “get off me” gun. Totally safe carried in a pocket and can be fired through a pocket repeatedly. Point blank, no “aiming” needed, if it doesn’t fire just cock it and fire the next one. And totally concealable. Looks like keys in a pocket!

BUG. I've had friends who carried one on a neck cord.

I'd like to have the target master version with real adjustable rear sight and a real front. I've only had a chance at one and let it go by because a pawn shop had it that thought too much of it.

Have you considered the Black Widow? It is as shootable as the Mini Master while still being pocket friendly.

It looks like something a squill world pack! LOL I've shot them also but I have never been comfortable with them. I still keep nan old RG 6 shot revolver that I call my Crap Shooter to take care of my damaged or old 22 LR to get rid of them. Thanks for posting.

I've had a few RGs. In fact I currently have an RG-14, which is probably my favorite RG.

Well...a gun that's "only good for plinking" is good for plinking. And, everybody needs a little bit of plinking time occasionally. 😂 Thanks for letting me tag along for yours.
I know one should never say "never," but it's unlikely that I'll own one of those, but I do think they're cool. Now, the BP "magnum" one? Maybe.
Thanks again for the range time.

We own this little monster, and take minor issue...we note you have owned this gun, and the magnum model, for quite a while...you wouldn't mind acquiring the .22 short model (i want one, too!), so there IS something about these guns you do like (the .22lr can run shorts and long, also, but we run those less than every blue moon)...the redeeming feature is the utter concealability of these guns, they can go anywhere...that is not bad shooting, we never practice beyond 10 feet with ours, the gun is difficult to shoot well, and fast reloads impossible...your misfires surprised me, shooting primarily cheap bulk ours has almost never misfired, but .22 is .22...we have well over a thousand rounds (maybe two thousand) downrange on ours, as practice is a constant requirement (ours sees the range more often than any other gun we own), and the gun is fun to shoot...we think of our gun as that last second, last chance, pull in surprise and stick in bad guy's ear option...it is the narrowest of niches, but we have found nothing more suitable...we very rarely carry ours, but it is available, and we currently load cci velocitors if need be...every gun is a compromise, these sacrifice much to be so concealable, the gun owns that in spades...last thing, like your little holster...

I mention the drawbacks, but you're right: I do like these little revolvers quite a bit. In addition to this LR and the Magnum, I also have a Super Companion (magnum frame black powder) and a Black Widow (with both LR and Magnum cylinders). I would like to add a Short and an Earl Companion (4" barrel magnum black powder). Both of those are difficult to come by.

I don't think it's the ammo causing the missfires. Aguila rim fire ammo uses the same priming method as Eley. Must be the gun.
