I have the PUG and love it! Or I did before I lost it in a tragic boating accident. Super handy for deep concealment and as a dog-deterrent while exercise walking. Great bit of peace of mind for those situations when discretion is needed for personal security.
Also gets a squared barrel vs the sidewinder more like the pug + sidewinder almost. Sentinel indicates the sight, barrel, and swing out cylinder style@@patrickrossetti7109
I mean you are getting 200 ft•lbs which is pretty close to 9mm so not bad I just don't like how small the round is overall and most of the ft•lbs is from the velocity so that means that this projectile will dump its energy incredibly fast so it's an alright projectile but almost all the energy is from the velocity rather weight.
@@janetmelendez3024 You aren't getting close to 200 ft lbs out of a short barrel revolver like this, though. It's probably more between 1000-1250 fps depending on barrel length, or 90-120 ft lbs. A good built gun and 3 inch or so barrel can get 130-150+ ft lbs and the figure gets closer to 200 ft lbs with longer barrel lengths like on the super wrangler.
My backup is the Black Widow as well, a swing out cylinder would change the entire function of the gun from 'five shots of 22wmr' to 'five shots of 22wmr that you maybe can reload' so I hope you come out with on on the 2'' frame
Bravo Sootch👍🏾🍺🤳I've owned my NAA snubber since 1999. I'll carry it if I'm going somewhere guns are prohibited. I just hide it in my car. I'd rather sacrifice the NAA being stolen than my primary carry gun✌🏼😎☯️
These little guns 🔫 are great as backups. This is the backup to either my G23 or G27. I have an older model, but with a bigger rubber grip instead of the wood grips it came with. I got mine around 1990/91. Mine was a kit that came with 22mag & .22 lr cylinders, and a leather pocket clip holster.
The older you get the smaller the pistol you carry. 🤣🤣🤣 Carried a Baretta 92 fs in my younger years and 35 years later I find myself mostly carrying a Ruger lcp max. Excellent review Sootch00 and nice lookin revolver.
I’ve owned one of these older models for years. With mine, the 22 cci mini mag is 80 fps faster than the 22 mag. (It is a convertible) It’s been a fun gun
As a mechanic in Texas heat. It’s hard to carry my edc (Taurus gx4) I sweat so much in my warehouse since it’s made of cement blocks. I need something I can carry in my pocket without it flying out or anything like that. Tbh for that reason only this is perfect.
I cleaned one for a Psstor who keeps his in the front pocket, the condensation made this little guy rather interesting to get apart loaded, i was thinking i was going to catch one in the hand ,,i was however able to free up the cylinder and fire off the rest of the cylinder, great gun everyone.... just keep em lubed ! I love the break action top loaders too
I always liked these tiny guns and picked up a Sheriff model ladt year. It looks like a mini 1858 Remington BP. Came with 22lr and 22 mag cylinders in the metal lock box and was $295 from local gun store. If it had the swing out cylinder it would be even better.
I own several NAA 22 Magnums. Back when the sidewinders first appeared they were too $$. Now with this new model I will definitely pick one up. Yeah, this is my New York reload that complements my normal EDC.
I have carried one of the NAA models in my shirt pocket when I had no other pockets. The .22 magnum sounds like a .357 magnum when you fire it, and at dusk or dark the fireball looks like a .357 magnum. Good video!
I live & hike in bear and mountain lion country. Will it stop a charging bear or charging mountain lion? Will it stop a charging wild boar? Will it stop a drugged up Jihadi charging with a knife?
@SoldierDrew my favorite part of show was when an eskimo stopped a charging bear in a shallow river by putting his arms out wide and bear stopped charging right infront of him
I have been carrying several NAA revolvers for some years now because I have to deep conceal my guns in prohibited areas and they are exceptionally good for these reasons. I recently added the Switchgun to my rotation of deep conceal carry guns and I'm planning on adding the Sentinel to my collection as well.
I learned about barrel length as to complete powder burn , with a barrel of 1 1/8 in the 22 mag doesn’t have a complete burn resulting in slower bullet , chronograph shows 600 to 800 fps , with a barrel of 1 5/8 has a complete powder burn / bullet speed jumps to 1200 to 1400 fps
I have the PUG with the bull barrel. Very nicely made guns with quality steel. I like the company very much. I wish they would make a pepper box derringer in .40 S&W 4 shot.

There's a few guys on YT with Big collections of them, worth a watch. Very precision machinery , they do COST as much as full size pistols, once in a while you'll see them at the shop for a good price no collection is complete without these cool little guys.
We only own one, the wallet restricts how many we can have vs how many we'd like to own...the gun sees the range more often than any other firearm we own...
I have the black widow the only advantage I see to the sentinel is reloading at the range l! I highly doubt you will be reloading in a self defense situation
I have a Bug Out II in .22 Magnum but I like this and might get one too. The cylinder swinging out on a crane like a standard revolver is certainly welcomed and cool.
NAA stands behind their lifetime warranty.. I have a 22 long rifle standard mini NAA in the little ball kept falling out of the detent.. I called them and they sent me a brand new ejector rod within a few days no charge!

With the folding grip , make sure when you border it you get the correct size for the frame. Two sizes , one is for .22LR gram, the other for .22 WMR ( whatever the original gun is, it’s the size, even if you have the other cal cylinder. ALSO, it clipping your pocket looked like a folding knife. I spray painted it denim blue, grip and clip, invisible now…. You don’t have to push the button to UNFOLD, just unfold/open, it locks into place . Now you have a full handgrip for shooting! The button is to release the lock t on re-fold. Such a cool gun!
Very cool - I would carry that with the folding grip for a better grip and to protect against accidental cocking/firing if just doing "drop-in pocket carry".
Change pocket.? If your talking about the little pocket just above the right front pocket that is called a watch pocket... but yeah most folks put change in it now. Lol But yeah id love to have one with the swing Cylinder
I’ve had a lot of unexpected luck with cheap belly bands. There’s some that are like hybrid shoulder rigs. Makes it easy and comfy to carry fully sized.
@@danielbaker8927 I feel you bro I’m thinking the same way why spend the same amount when I can get a better gun with bigger caliber but it’s not always about that imagine having a lil toy you can play with that’s why people buy it because they just love the naa.

I noticed no reviewers are chronoing this Sentinal. Guess why. The NAA Wasp (1.625" barrel) chronos 22 WMR ~850fps. This Sentinel only has a 1.425" barrel so it'd do noticeably worse.
Please be careful, the hammer can come out of the park notch and leave the hammer on a live round. I dropped mine annd put a hole in my leg. I thought I would bleed out before getting the bleeding stopped. Yes they are quality guns but be extra careful.
It appears to me that the barrel of the Sentinel is a tad longer than that of the Pug, which seems that it would lead to higher velocities for the .22 Magnum bullet and more terminal effects.
I own a pug and I love it for not going to the post office, cutting grass, walking or pretty much anything because it’s smaller than a knife. I love em.
It's a great little pocket pistol. I put a foldable grip on it. Much better that the factory grip. What I didn't need was so many cycling demos. 1 would have been fine.
I know 22 Mag is a perfectly good round. But I would have to carry this in some kind of side or pocket holster. Visions of reaching for and round through the leg in a struggle just are there.
I carry mine offside on my rear hip. Strongsville rear hip is sometimes a .357 magnum. I never carry small of back because of the stories I read of police crippled for life when they fell back onto their backup and screwed up their spine.
