The little bottle that Sherry threw is probably formaldehyde, in contact with your skin it's like acid. It's also often used to conserve corpses for longer.
Question for you. Why does formaldehyde conserve our corpses for longer? When I hear of acids, the first thing I think about is how that they eat away at things.
@@fall-neckthetallneck2977 Like with many things in medicine cure and poison can be quite close to each other. As for formaldehyde, in it's pure form it is acidic and will burn your skin. Yeah the A/B scenario timelines don't make sense in an actual "these two characters are doing stuff" way. If you think about it from the logistical standpoint of making a videogame though, it makes sense, they'd either have to make two entire full length games to do the two character concept justice or they'd have the B scenario be you just running through an empty police station, sewers and lab with all the puzzles solved. There's obviously ways they could have made either of those two things work but there's budget/time limitations as always. The original RE2 does it very slightly better but I think people overstate how impactful it was personally, as someone who loves those games.
The Spark Shot is a weird weapon, but you basically need to keep holding down the shoot button until the meter goes all the way up and the cartridge 'explodes'. You'll know when it happens.

Regarding the woman on director Iron's table, he was turning her into a "stuffed animal", so ye she was dead. Those chemicals and instruments he had are for taxidermy, and Shery broke a bottle of acid on his face.
That woman is Katherine Warren, daughter of Racoon City's mayor. She's also one character in the Ghost Survivors DLC -- you can play her in an alternate timeline where she escapes from Chief Irons and goes to rescue her boyfriend Ben (the guy in the jail cell).

The Sparkshot has perhaps the most terribly misleading description of any weapon in all Resident Evil games ever. It makes it sound as if you shouldn't charge it for too long when that is actually EXACTLY what you're supposed to do in order to use it correctly. It instakills those grotesque G-mutant sewer monsters if you fire the prongs into the eyeball and charge it up till it overloads.
Yay, the next part! Been looking forward to this, thank you! This series is just so good. 💖 Looking forward to the final part and seeing the ending, the lab is my favourite part to play as Claire.
To be fair to Annette’s concerns, if William escapes, which he has all the reason in the world to and doesn’t by sheer luck (in universe that is, in game we know it’s because boss fights need to happen) but if he does escape, he’ll go on a consistently improving rampage until he is orbitally struck to death. All the while implanting people with the G creatures and either killing them outright or turning them into the hulking monsters you hate in the sewers. Will’s gotta go, and I can understand Annette’s struggle to care for her daughter when William will literally kill hundreds and potentially thousands more. Like, she loves her daughter, but like she says, there’s no time. She has to secure that the G virus never escapes from Raccoon City. That means killing William, and making sure agents like Ada aren’t crawling into NEST to get it, a fear which is supported by Leon’s story where, duh, Ada’s in it.
I dunno to be honest. She obviously was distant to Sherry from the go. And was quite willing to experiment on men, women, and children. She knew all that was going on so I don’t think we can judge her as “good” and def not a good parent
As with the Flamethrower on your Leon campaign, you are using the Spark Shot incorrectly, dont worry the instructions for the Spark Shot sucks, Just hold down the button and let the meter fill, do not release the button ever, the prongs will explode causing massive damage to its target, if you release it at any time before that it will do minimal damage, practically wasting a shot. Love your series, please keep them coming.
I probably read all the notes at some point, but I actually forgot about the reason William was chasing Sherry. I thought it was because he was protecting her... since he does, multiple times. From Irons and even Mr. X. But I guess they were just in the way. Pretty messed up when you think about it. Edit: if you didn't realize, you got all those head pops at around 54:30 because you were using your good ammo 😬
Loving the thoroughness of these Resi 2 playthroughs, Amber really doesn’t leave any stone unturned in turning that map blue! Resi 3 is good but not as good as 2 in my opinion. Resident Evil 4 though is something else, I think you’ll love the remake if you play that version.
Yea it's why I had some problems knife only in the first Birkin fight on Xbox One only to absolutely breeze through it with no damage when I replayed it at a higher framerate on PC.
3:25 But haven't you noticed? Tape is completely unbreakable in Resident Evil. You could shoot that yellow tape at the beginning of the game with a rocket launcher and absolutely nothing will happen. You have to have a sharp object to cut tape or bandages. ~RE logic
Sadly not. It's one of the strongest weapons in the game, but it won't kill the plant zombies. Only the fire weapons -- Claire's grenade launcher or Leon's flame thrower -- can put them down permanently.
1:30:08 That's exactly what Annette is doing. Unlike Joel, she realizes that saving millions of people over just your own daughter is the right thing to do
You make it sound like Annette was a good person lol. Nothing indicated that since she was part of the problem to begin with. She created bioweapons and was involved in human experiments. She was shown to be an irresponsible workaholic mother who neglected her young daughter at every turn (even before the outbreak). Literally letting her rot in a garbage dump with active biohazard threats all while her infected child, in pain, still pleaded for forgiveness (which her mother responds to with "Ugh Sherry I don't have time for this"). She clearly wasn't fit as a parent, neither was William. The only thing she might've done semi-right was trying to minimize the fallout of the product that already indirectly killed millions in Raccoon City. Also it's naive to think every parent should be willing to sacrifice their child in certain situations. Even if it means potentially saving the world that child _is_ in fact _their_ world. Ask any father or mother to lose their daughter to help the human race and 99% would chose their daughter. Doing the right thing is a matter of perspective-it's about what you're truly fighting for. A parent's foremost (moral) responsibility concerns the well-being of their child. And it's arguable that a cure in The Last of Us was even needed or feasible. Twenty years after outbreak day and humans were surviving just fine. They have adapted. The majority knew how to get by. There was no evidence that the human population was declining and people were in desperate need for a vaccine. Also who says killing Ellie would save the human race? The recordings in the Salt Lake hospital only making it more apparent that the chances for a cure weren't exactly high or solid. Likely it would all fail. The Fireflies didn't have the resources to mass-produce and distribute a cure (manpower, infrastructure, hostility between factions). Also scientifically speaking it wouldn't even make sense to fully remove the brain, as Ellie would be too valuable to risk killing in one-go. Studying, let alone using a brain without its host body, doesn't yield that much positive results. Rationally killing one to save millions is valid but so is a parents unconditional love for a child.
I will offer a defense of Annette Birkin. Umbrella is a huge Kafkaesque company that likes separating its operations and keeping its employees in the dark. Annette was in charge of research and development, and we don't know if she knew anything about the testing operations. William was a lot more involved in testing. He was a monster long before the G-virus made him look like one.
Unfortunately she really isn’t developed enough to be defensible 😂 Annette and William are just a great example of two people who should not have ever had a kid.
I highly recommend getting acclimated with keyboard/mouse controls. It's a bit of a waste to play on PC and not use them. Moreover, after you get used to the superior mouse aiming you'll never want to go back and it will be a lot more useful in RE4 where headshots matter a lot more.
The description for how to use the spark shot is misleading. Hold it on the target until the gauge fills all the way, but don't stop holding when it fills, keep going. There will be a final surge, which will kill a licker or one of those big G sewer mutants with one shot. Also, you have a ton of gunpowder with which to make acid rounds for the grenade launcher. They're not quite as good as flame rounds against some targets, but better than flame against others. They're what Annette used against William Birkin at the end of Leon's run.
8:28 there is a resident evil dinosaur game, played it in my childhood, dino crisis 2. Same company, same graphics as the original RE games. No remakes to meet todays standards tho
There really is no reason to use the 5-shot revolver with regular ammo once you have the laser-sight semi-auto. The only reason to use it is with the Mag ammo.
Everyone saves the mag and shotgun but they're almost useless against bosses. Better to clear zombies with them and use the sub-machine gun on eyeball boy.
Question: whatever happened to the GoW R let's play? I vaguely (i maybe wrong but....) remember you stopping at the realm of the dwarves and then nothing. I was really looking forward for the series on this channel. Please help, much appreciated. Great play by the way. Keep up the work. Much love and respect.
What's been driving me crazy this entire episode is asking, "Why on earth don't you completely heal Claire up whenever you get the chance?" If you are already in the Caution area and something of the appropriate size manages to hit you, anything with more power than the average zombie, then you will most likely not have a chance to heal because you will drop dead on the spot.
I think the programmers had no time to actually make sense of the timeline to be honest. That's my only complaint about the re-make. It also left out quite a few areas and changed a few plot points from the original seemingly for the same reason. It would have been nice for this game to fix the continuity errors the original had, but they literally double and triple-downed in the opposite direction lol.

I had TH-cam on a minimized screen while looking at another app. When this video started, it looked like she was wearing a wedding veil. Lol
I really want you to try the 4th survivor after you've done clairs b it's so good
Just wait till you play the Kendo Uncut mod for RE2. Everything will make so much sense after that
Can't wait for the next episode. I wonder if she'll do a Claire A, Leon B run or she'll move onto the next game RE3/RE4
The spark shot will be your go-to weapon for plant zombies.
@@JustJDx I ain't reading all that. I'm happy for u tho. Or sorry that happened
@@Lasher667 thanks
when amber is making the spooks worse for herself: heheheheheheheheheh
I will offer a defense of Annette Birkin. Umbrella is a huge Kafkaesque company that likes separating its operations and keeping its employees in the dark. Annette was in charge of research and development, and we don't know if she knew anything about the testing operations. William was a lot more involved in testing. He was a monster long before the G-virus made him look like one.
Annette had got to know something, I believe she chose to fool herself into thinking things were fine but she knew.
You do not, in fact, have to hand it to her.
Unfortunately she really isn’t developed enough to be defensible 😂 Annette and William are just a great example of two people who should not have ever had a kid.
Claire's playthough always makes me nervous because they really put her through shit. It's just lickers everywhere. Very Scary Very Sad WoW
Been waiting for this
8:28 there is a resident evil dinosaur game, played it in my childhood, dino crisis 2. Same company, same graphics as the original RE games. No remakes to meet todays standards tho
You need to keep focusing the needler for the final surge, it's that surge that kills things...

rising rockie... the girl in the photo was Rebeca from Resident evil 1 & 0
you should play those RE games aslo 🙂
43:10 1:26:40 Mother of the year🙄
No shame in handing out a bit of 🧀👌🤣
Have you ever played RE 0, RE 1 or RE 3 Amber? You should if you haven’t, they’re cool games too!
There really is no reason to use the 5-shot revolver with regular ammo once you have the laser-sight semi-auto. The only reason to use it is with the Mag ammo.
Because I am Claire Redfield and I put the "bad" in badass.
Gotta play RE1 to understand the pic of the girl
Everyone saves the mag and shotgun but they're almost useless against bosses. Better to clear zombies with them and use the sub-machine gun on eyeball boy.
Question: whatever happened to the GoW R let's play? I vaguely (i maybe wrong but....) remember you stopping at the realm of the dwarves and then nothing. I was really looking forward for the series on this channel. Please help, much appreciated. Great play by the way. Keep up the work. Much love and respect.
Honestly, Annette is one of the most interesting characters in the entire franchise, evil or not
Hmm to me she was the least interesting
@@JustJDx she’s an incredibly complex character, though. I like a complicated villain.
@@brendanfoehr5086 Sure but for the general audience (even many RE fans I know) she was sadly a forgettable, unrelatable or unlikable character.
good run
Resident Evil Dinosaur game = Dino Crisis
Sherry's parents.... Worst of the year :/ they don't even care
I never bother even picking up the Sparkshot, just such a tedious weapon that takes up a lot of space.
Claire IS the best.
Would you play RE3 Remake? It’s kinda short, but I’d like you to encounter Nemesis. 😂
I was wondering if there is away to send you a private message? Another great video! You’re amazing and I love you!❤
1:28:05 because I Claire
hey! :)😍
You let go of the spark shot too early!! Don't release it yourself. It explodes after it's full on its own.
:D
Amber's such a cutie!
U never continue u always leave because it effects Ur rating if u continue from the menu
It would have been nice for this game to fix the continuity errors the original had, but they literally double and triple-downed in the opposite direction lol.
oww please watch the walking dead and make reactions
Wild that there are people just straight up spoiling huge parts of RE1 in these comments :/
