Using your last bullet to kill the boss like that is peak action movie moment, genuinely on the edge of my seat seeing if you'd kill him before you ran out.
It's a mechanic in the game. After dealing a set amount of damage you have a high likelihood of killing him with your last round, where ever it hits. The same is on other playthrough videos, I think Skyytea had the same happen
Its really a testament to how well Capcom pulled Mister X off that everyone that sees him for the first time just instantly panics And the licker + Mister X combo is always great fun.
@TheMrGiannisgr Mr.X is a nick name given to him by the gaming magazines when the game was first released. Technically his name is T-00, and Tyrant is the classification of his mutation.
@@justkiddingnotreally4865 He is the T-103 actually, the perfect version of the original Tyrant model. The T-002 is the one you fight on RE 1 and there are a bunch of others we don't find on the games
You're doing incredibly so far. These two eps have been far beyond enjoyable. It's so nice how much attention to detail you have and how well you follow the map & puzzles. Don't worry too much about the ammo use, I think you're playing exactly as intended!
This is a great series. I've never watched a blind RE2 play through, so I was excited to see your reaction to meeting Tyrant. You played it smart, not trying to fight him, and moving around quietly so he couldn't hear you. And you are not alone in your struggles with ammo management. My biggest complaint about this game is just how many bullets it takes to put down basic zombies.
One shotgun shell to the head (max 2) should delete a zombie (or possibly more if they are grouped up). Definitely better than 8 pistol shots. But the knock-down, then knife them on the floor strategy is also good (and practically essential in RE3). Shooting their knees out will drop them to the floor.
Was not expecting to spend two hours on a let’s play, but I did. Love this game, and watching you experience these moments for the first time was just delightful. Having played the game through easily 10 times, I knew what was coming every step of the way but your reactions were priceless! Subbed.

These games dynamically adjust things intentionally to make ammo scarce. If you are hoarding, they will throw some bullet sponges at you to deplete your stockpiles. If you are running low, they will actually increase the amount you are picking up to compensate. I really think it helps to know this because then you can just trust the process and go with the flow a little more, and it is NOT intuitive to expect that a game would be pulling these sorts of strings in the background.
@@christiandaugherty6339 I think it made the game better. His constant presence searching for you ratchets up the tension, which is perfect for a horror game.

RE2 has one notorious about its 'headshot doesn't kill' feature. It means that landing a headshot might not be as efficient as shooting limbs to incapacitate your enemies. Headshots still deal more damage in general, so if you're sharpshooting, it still counts.
The original PlayStation version of this game is what got me back into video games as a teenager. The remake is perfect and makes me so nostalgic. Love watching you play it during spooky season!

Loved this part! The Tyrant didn't really have a nam in the original, so the fan name was Mr.X, and him showing up for the first time was my favourite part of the first play through! It's so tense listening to is loud footsteps and trying to figure out where he is and where you gotta go, you captured that first experience perfectly! Shame that once you know what you're doing that second trip through the station with Mr.X barely lasts 5 minutes.
"Why is he leaving his hats everywhere?" Fun fact: Mr. X:es grow out of hats, and the ones in save rooms are his offspring
MORE RE2 REMAKE GAMEPLAYS PLS
this one is my favorite from the three remakes so far
You actually can dismember the zombies. I always like to shoot their legs off and that makes them easier to run around
Recommend shooting the legs and making the zombies crawl instead of killing them. That way you can spare a bit of ammo and run past zombies easily
the best way to get past zombies and save ammo is to shoot them in the knee, wait for them to stagger and run past..
Lmao the whole last episode I was screaming she needs to board the windows!😂
Yes, I've waited for long for pt 2, it seems like. let's goooo!
My favorite part of every re2 remake playthrough that i watch lol
Can't wait till the next gameplay video ✌️
If this is really your first playthrough then I am really impressed. You are doing great 👍
