53:33 -- I think you initially thought the entire game was just gonna be unrelenting waves of enemies constantly swarming you and stressing you out (which was understandable given those two intense sections early on), but I'm SO glad you stuck with it saw that there's much, much more to the game than that :)
I find it so satisfying to watch you play because you play exactly like me, slowly looking at the details of the scene, checking the map all the time to make sure you didn't miss anything, you even remember the RE3 detail from a file saying that they used a "parasite" in nemesis. I really don't have much patience to keep up with people who run around the map quickly just to get ahead in the game
I really hope you were able to solve the save issue. This has been such an enjoyable playthrough and I'm glad you are having fun with the game. But a crash not saving your game is no fun at all, so sorry that happened.
Girl you parried a snake!!! 😂 I lost my shit when I saw that, have over 200 hours in this game and I didn’t know that was even possible 😂 amazing. Fantastic job on water hall and the winery! They’re pretty savage and you got through the panic with style 😌 I really hope the issue with the save is okay? I’ve never seen that happen to anyone, but the game autosaves constantly so surely you can access the latest autosave? The castle from this point on is imo THE best part of the entire game, and my fave, so of course I hope you will be able to continue. this series is so good. ❤️ Also just wanted to point out a couple of things - the reason you’re accumulating large resources and finding barely any small ones is bc you have the case equipped that increases their drop rate (def more useful if you’re also using an SMG but imo still not really worth it bc you almost always want more small resources for shotgun ammo) And you’re really stressing about the small keys but you literally only missed a single one in the village! You’re doing really well, the castle has a little bit of backtracking if you wanna collect all of the treasures, you haven’t missed anything ☺️
@@Torbulous genuinely never occurred to me 😂 I know the location of every snek so the poor little guys don’t even have the chance to lunge at me 😂 I may have been slightly intoxicated but like just the thought of Leon slapping a snake out of the air with his knife and stuffing it in his pocket to munch on later made me LAUGH
Thanks for the walkthrough. I love this! 😱🤯 I played the original SO MUCH and i didn't really feel like wading into the remakes. I've had this on in the background and I LOVE how the game actually seems like a remake! Like, i recognize parts, but it's updated lol
I very much recommend you swap out your attaché case. You're getting a lot of large resources because that is what you're set to. This can be a bad thing considering drops are randomized and those resources could potentially be taking the places of ammo drops. If you're able to use them often it's fine, but you're struggling to even use them.
If you’re taking a break from 4, but not necessarily the series, I recommend you skip 5 and 6, and pick up 7. 5 and 6 depart from the horror genre into an action style pacing. 7 returns to its horror genre roots and is full of the scary stuff!
I hope she reads this comment, but also she should play resident evil 0 and 1 because she needs to know the origins of the story and they’re both horror games

In regards of Leon's reaction after meeting Ada for the first time, i think is meant to imply that he thought about Ada's dissapearence in last game, considering she survived Raccon city altogether on her own,and also, after 6 years of him probably pondering from the experiencies he had, he probably sorted out how he feels about it too. (love your videos btw, keep up the good work)
Ada throws Leon the rocket launcher at the end of Resident Evil 2. She just doesn't let him know it's her by staying in the shadows. He suspected it was her and that she was still alive.
Yay I'm so glad you're enjoying it more. It is a different kind of game but it has lots more depth in terms of mechanics, weapons and options than the previous games
Really loving this play through with your internal monologue and reactions! Hope the technical issues get sorted out and it doesn't deter you from this game
1:45:35 this scene is a lot better in the original. Even leaving the voices aside (which is the thing people mention most often) the dialogue in it is a lot more interesting and descriptive. Leon basically asks Ada if she's working with Wesker EDIT: Did the autosave not work?
1:45:34 -- So while we're never explicitly shown or told, we're meant to surmise that sometime over the 6 years between the end of RE2 and the time of RE4, Leon learns that Ada is still alive. To me, that seems perfectly plausible since he not only work in U.S. intelligence, but in a division specifically tasked with monitoring Umbrella operations along with any persons of interest affiliated with it since its downfall. In the course of that investigation, it stands to reason that somewhere along the line, a photo or a report would've come across his desk about the current activities of one Ada Wong whom we know has an ongoing mercenary involvement, and he would've found out that she didn't die in Raccoon City after all (all of this, btw, is pretty strongly established in the first Leon & Ada cutscene of the original RE4, lest anyone think I'm wildly speculating). So when she confronts him here, that's why he's not shocked to find her still among the living, only mildly surprised to have encountered her on this mission in Spain. Needless to say there's a bit of bitterness on Leon's part since she never made any effort over the years to let him know she was still alive (which is particularly cruel since he was clearly haunted and guilt-ridden by her "death"), and because she's still evidently working for the bad guys.
Ohhh Walton has such an adorable "death animation" :D I hope the problem with saving can be resolved. Maybe an auto save will work? I really enjoy your playthrough. It's been a very enjoyable ride.

Three best Resident Evil games of all time.... Resident Evil 4 remake, Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 8(Village). I sure hope SymbaLily plays RE:7 and RE:8.
I much prefer the old formula. The best RE game is the original RE2 by far. Best A/B system, best sound design, many of the best locations. Some of the most satisfying weapons. 7 and 8 are better than the turd streak that is 5 and 6 but they barely even are RE games.
@@TurnerTurnip not what I said. I think it’s better as a survival horror game, but when resident evil moved to action horror in the original re4 I just felt like the genres and game entries should be judged differently. RE4 remake is easily better than re2 remake imo but not if it’s trying to be a survival horror game, which thankfully it isn’t
I love Leon and Ashley's banter and camaraderie in this remake. You have no idea how annoying Ashley was in the original. She was a bratty cartoon character who almost made you want to leave her to Los Illuminados. In this game she actually acts like a person, mostly in shock but also able to rally, and develops a relationship to Leon that isn't just a dumb crush. It's extremely refreshing.
Sorry about the saves. Was so glad when you started to enjoy this game. Love the original more but me old... If you don't feel like starting over, may be try something that will not cause you a hearth-attack.. like DS2 ;P
You haven't missed any small keys in the castle yet. However you should have used the one you picked up in chapter 8 on the chest you found during the giant fight, because I don't think you can go back to it now.
After 53:33 where you say you've "clicked" with the game it's a shame to have ended with a save error. I hope you get the situation sorted out. Best case scenario your auto save is ok, worst case you'll use one of your manual a chapter saves. (That "Water Hall" scenario/room is notoriously difficult, even in the original btw).
You don't even have to worry using the save machine because of the autosave (easy, standard and hardcore mode have autosave) just start the game and load the continue slot 🙋🏻♀️
Really funny how you said you were just clicking with the game right before one of the nastiest sections in the water hall. EDIT: Wow and then the save issue. Would suck if you couldn't finish the game, hope you can find a solution.
I'm slightly confused... Is this save error not just an isolated freak occurrence? You've presumably been able to save just fine up to this point, so why are we acting as if we'll never be able to save again just because this last one failed? 🤔
Hi, quick tip: If you have your weapons fully upgraded you can sell them and buy the upgraded version of them, in this game new weapons are always better

In this game she actually acts like a person, mostly in shock but also able to rally, and develops a relationship to Leon that isn't just a dumb crush. It's extremely refreshing.
Lets bring the "Amber" for wesker. 😂
Sorry about the saves. Was so glad when you started to enjoy this game. Love the original more but me old...
If you don't feel like starting over, may be try something that will not cause you a hearth-attack.. like DS2 ;P
Isn't Dead Space 2 scary too?
@@Walamonga1313 good one :]
How are you amber
The autosave should've worked. I don't know if you were able to check to see if it autosave or not, but it should work.
(That "Water Hall" scenario/room is notoriously difficult, even in the original btw).
the infected snail survives having it's head eaten by birds, and can regrow it's genitals.
Maybe you can check for any automatic save? Let us know!
You should be fine with the autosave! It's pretty forgiving.
More Walton introductions please! 😊
I'm so jelous of your dog, I want him
Please tell me you was able to fix the save problem :'c
Your case organazing is perfection!
i love ur playthroughsss
I'm slightly confused... Is this save error not just an isolated freak occurrence? You've presumably been able to save just fine up to this point, so why are we acting as if we'll never be able to save again just because this last one failed? 🤔
Clever clever Walton! ❤
I think the lake monster is an eel myself…. It it’s all k8nds of mutated so who knows.
There should be a reasonable auto save. And one solution would be to just not turn the computer off over night etc until you beat it.
2:08:00 Homies really wearing fishnets.
slay
I like watching your resident evil game play I hope you end up fixing the saving issue cause I want to see the rest of your game play 🙏🏼
Wish they would let you put some jewels in the guns... bedazzle them
