Amber this playthrough has been brilliant. I've loved every second of it. Your play style is so calming even during horror games when you might think you're playing frantically. Loved every second. Thank you
Your gameplay was pleasure to watch. You handle yourself pretty well against the enemies even if you don't believe it. Loved how you payed attention and get interested in the story, as a RE fan I must say you have one of the best playthroughts of this game out here in TH-cam. Now that you completed RE2R I will like to give some recommendation about the future games in the saga. You said at the end that the next game will be RE3R and that's perfectly fine because you'll get more context about what happened in RE2R, but I have to say, if you are interested in the story of the franchise, after RE3R I will recommend you to go and play RE1R and also Code Veronica (this game occurs after RE2R/3R and before RE4R) because in RE4R there are things that you won't understand if you don't play those games first. That's what I recommend, but if you don't mind so much the story then you can go ahead and play it if you want. No matter what, it is a pleasure (again) seeing you play these games. Hope to see what you have for the future.
Amber you are going to love RE1 Remake. It has the sense of progression and inventory management that you liked about RE2R. check it out before RE3 or RE4
Here are some more games to try: Original Resident Evil series, Resident Evil 1 remake, Dead Space, Evil Within, Song of Horror, The Quarry, and The Dark Pictures series. All great horror games.
I’m so glad you’re going to carry on with RE3 & 4! This series is one of my all time favs, just a blast to play and to watch others play. Even the worst RE games are worth playing❤
another s-tier series, felt like this one flew by, i'm so excited for resi 3 tho i think you'll like it! also 100% silent hill would be awesome if you ever end up doing that, imo it's the scariest horror series in gaming, would love to see that! thanks for another awesome series!
Thanks for the walkthrough. 17:28 - Because they shot not at the creature, but next to it. 32:00 - Mr. X was torn up by William Birkin in this walkthrough.) 44:52 - Claire is clearly more agile and agile than Leon.
Woo!! S+ play through! Glad you enjoyed it, can't wait for thREemake, I have a strong feeling you'l like it too. It's got my personal favourite RE protagonist.
Wonderful playthrough, as always; as I said in a previous video of the series, I heavily encourage you to play Resident Evil 1 remake, as that is possibly even more curated than this one, as a remake, and is set in the same world but has a bit of a different playstyle I would very much like to see you tackle; wanting to play Resident Evil 3 remake is also quite understandable, as that will give you more context in regards to the Raccoon City situation... I hope you eventually play at least all the four titles of the series anyway (or at least their remakes)! And I look forward to your next playthrough regardless.
Another *wonderfully satisfying* playthrough, Amber. Always love your reactions and playstyle! I also 2nd a playthrough of the Silent Hill series as others have mentioned, especially with the SH2 remake around the corner! 🙂
I really enjoyed your playthrough of this and I'm definitely looking forward to you playing the RE3 & RE4 remakes, which I hope you also have a good time playing whenever you get to them. Hope you have a great weekend.
i hope you'd play RE3 Remake aswell, i mean that game was quite a disappointment for the fandom but it's still kinda fun for you to understand some resident evil lore and experience it for the first time since the main villain were scary af
I would prefer her to play the original, even though it's gameplay is a bit old-fashioned. The R3make Jill is unlikeable in my opinion, or at least not as well written as the OG Jill (like the whole remake, but i'm repeating myself).
@@CruxOfTheMatter ehh personality wise i like jill RE3 Remake more since she was kinda bland from the OG imo, but i also would love to see her actually play RE3 Remake first and then the RE3 OG to see how sad the remake is for the fandom
I the S.D. Perry novels based on the original game series, the reason given for Umbrella making these bioweapons is simply "just becasue they can" they've become so powerful across the globe and in control of so much, they "became bored" so just did it to see if they could.
amazing run I cant wait for you to play Resident Evil 3 Remake as it is set 24 hours before and during the events of RE 2. not to mention Jill Valentine is sooooo amazing and iconic.
Was looking foward to you played re7 and 8 because of the horror/first person but sucks it may be a year from now. Well, glad you'll still be playing re 3 and 4 remake.
Hey Amber, LOVED this entire gameplay of this game, Thank you for making me jump more than once. Have you thought about playing The Final Fantasy 7 remake it might make a good series for the chanel??
@@DakonBlackblade2 wish there was better continuity between Leon and Claire's playthrough though. That's my biggest complaint. Other than that, love the game.
@@Torbulous Me too, but they wanted to keep it similar to the original in that regard. What I realy wanted was for maybe a Resident Evil Revelations 3 or even a mainline one to feature a Claire and Shery teamup, its strange Capcom never did that.
@@DakonBlackblade2 Well the original did a better job with that sort of thing and plus it had the zapping system and all that added to the whole feeling of 2 journeys. And the times where Claire and Leon interacted that weren't just in the intro. The original did it way better. I think it just wasn't in the budget for the remake. And yeah a Sherry/Claire team up would be pretty cool.
Was fun watching you play through this. I'll be here for RE3 and 4 remake. 4 remake is one of my favorite games so I'll be anticipating that one. 3 remake is a bit disappointing but it's still a fun game to go through. I'll be around for both playthroughs : )
If you're planning on doing RE1 (remake), I'd actually suggest you do it next. RE3 refers to it a lot... altho it's not totally necessary to enjoy 3. Either way, I'm looking forward to the next one.
I always hear that Claire A - Leon B is the canon order (or maybe that's just for the original?), but this order with Claire taking on the final form of William after her side of the story with Sherry makes more dramatic and emotional sense to me.
^ this is the only correct take, honestly. Watching this playthrough actually gave me the itch and go back and play Claire A/Leon B again, I hadn't played it in a while (and had had a pretty big break from the game) and it's just crazy how much better the scene on the train and ending plays in Claire B. Leon's story and character imo is much more connected to the RPD, his interactions with Marvin and that environment are far more meaningful to his character, and then because of her involvement with Sherry, Claire feels more connected to the lab and has far more meaningful interactions with Anette, and so fighting William feels more personal as Claire. So as you say, Claire landing the final blow on him after trying to protect Sherry from him and Irons throughout her ordeal is far, far more dramatically satisfying than doing it as Leon in Leon B. With the way both stories play out, it is just so overtly better to start with Leon and end with Claire. (and man, it's also just so much better getting that glorious Stage 4 G reveal at the end of the B campaign and going straight from that into his final form in the train car rather than the truncated ending in the A scenario, which imo works way better for Leon). Something else that really hit me is that there really is nothing in Claire's campaign that seeds the appearance of Mr X or Irons, and the jail scene with Ben in Leon's story doesn't actually work in his B scenario at all. Just in that it's so CLEARLY intended to be the first time Leon (and the player) sees Mr X, it can't achieve it's intended effect at all when Mr X has already been chasing Leon around the RPD for an hour. 😂 So I mean, you can play it either way of course, but if you care at all about structure or payoff from a narrative standpoint Leon A/Claire B is just, so much better lol.
What a great series this was, so glad to see you enjoyed it. Hope you get as much enjoyment out of RE3R/4R as well! If you're looking for another game to fit somewhere in your busy (but very exciting sounding!) upcoming game schedule, Lies of P is a VERY good soulsborne (more bloodborne i feel) game, was a surprise hit to be sure.
For ppl who haven't played RE3 original that game is a masterpiece, ppl only complain cause they wanted an specific experience from 3R that wasn't there, but by itself that game is great. And RE4 is a perfection.
So glad you enjoyed the game! Silent Hill is my favourite horror series ever and would absolutely love to see you experience those games!! (Just avoid the HD remaster, it's not good) If the Silent Hill 2 remake in the works does the original game justice that would be a great one to play.
Glad you liked RE2. It was a fun playthrough and excited to see 3 and potentially some of the Silent Hill series next year. Also hope you have time to play RE1 as well.
Didn't want to say anything while you were still playing, but you could shoot the yellow bulbs on the ivy enemies and then set them on fire to permanently kill them
This was such a wonderful playthrough, a pleasure to come along for. Thank you! 🥰 Will definitely be here looking forward to any other RE content, especially RE4 Remake. It's so crazy how far they outdid themselves with that one. RE3R will be a good follow-on for this and will definitely answer some of your questions. It's a disappointing remake for a lot fans and for me it doesn't stack up toooo well against RE2R, but it's still a blast to play, especially if you're unfamiliar with the original. There is just, unfortunately, one sequence in it that I absolutely loathe, to the point it puts me off replaying it much lol. It'd be cool to hear your thoughts on it overall though. ☺
Had so much fun watching ur play style and reactions through this series..i might re watch them n count how many deep breaths you had taken haha..ggs symbalily👌👍
So excited to watch your Dark Souls 2 playthrough!!! I’m sure everyone is going to tell you lots of stuff to do, so I won’t. But just a small tip, level the Adaptability stat first. It’s so so so important!
GG Amber! Absolutely loved your playthrough! I always enjoyed Claire's story more than Leon's, especially with all the emotional weight included with Sherry. I'm glad you enjoyed the game! Looking forward to your next series!
I enjoyed watching you play this game. Its fun to see you play this game i love so much at your own pace. So you want to play the Resident Evil 4 and 3 remakes next, i see. I won't spoil anything; just know that these two games are very different to the Resident Evil games you played so far. If you want to play a Resident Evil game which was made with the same kind of mindset which was present at the creation of this game as well as Resident Evil 7, then i can recommend the very first game, the remastered version (its more like a finished version of the original idea which Shinji Mikami and the other developers had). Furthermore, it is the very first Resident Evil game, it reflects the essence of the Resident Evil frienchise, and it utilizes horror and terror equally as good as this game does, but via different means. After Resident Evil 1 and 2 were made the frienchise went down a different path, still good(mostly), but different. Resident Evil 7 broke the mold, and revitalized the original vision. However, after the Resident Evil 2 remake this same phenomenon happened again, especially with the Resident Evil 3 remake, but Resident Evil 8 and the 4 remake are, in my opinion, not in tune with the original vision either, unlike the games you played so far. Whatever you do; i am excited for the upcoming games you mentioned, especially for Silent Hill next year, it is also one of those legendary games, just like Resident Evil. Thank you for playing.
Congratulations amber! You finished your first resident evil game ;) now into the next one hahahahahaha evil 3 4 7 and 8. Until the remake of the 5th and 6th
I'm not sure how they could tackle 5 & 6 as remakes. Five had a LOT of backlash towards the pretty racist depictions of African people, which is the whole setting and structure of the game, so they'd potentially have to COMPLETELY change a lot of enemies, and the co-op features might be rough. It's nowhere near as beloved as 2/3/4. And six was just a straight up terrible game all the way through so I'm not convinced they'd even want to spend the resources revisiting it.
In Resident Evil 5 remake you can only shoot white zombies. Even the soundtrack consists of only White Zombie songs. There aren't black zombies, actually there's no black people at all, that is completely normal in Africa. Trust me, I totally work for Capcom
I absolutely loved watching this, and really hope you do Resident Evil 4 Remake next. Your videos always bring me such joy and seeing your excitement or interest in things brings a smile to my face. Love the content so please keep going.
And yes, The Walking Dead Game is GREAT! Definitely recommend. Please don’t worry too much about the comments tho, I watch a lot of let’s plays and yeah, with choice based games like TWDG people can be rude, which I’ll never understand. I think it’s fun to see someone playing a game the way they want and hear their opinions 😊. Anyway, have a nice day!
Great playthrough. Hopefully you decide to play RE3 as well. Its a solid game and even though it was a bit disappointing fpr OG re3 fans its still definitely worth a playthrough if you loved this game.
Was a fun playthrough! I really like Claire's weapons myself, smg for for weakspot damage and limb tearing. The Spark shot feels way cooler to use then the flamethrower (imo). The Grenade launcher feels really cool (2 ammo types!), tho the shotgun is nice too. And the fan the hammer cowboy style gun, its fun tho annoying to use until you get the reload upgrade for it.
RE3 set before Leon and Claire go to Raccoon - When Jill ride the train to get out the city.. that's the time Leon and Claire came. But RE3 is still playing in different place while RE2 Leon and Claire explore more in the Police station and the Nest.
you should play 3 after to get all the references, lots of people hated it because it was toot short and left content from the original out but i still liked it
You're doing amazingly well for a new player. One bit of advice, try to aim the grenade rounds at the chest rather than the ground at their feet. Next up, play in Hard Core. I think you are ready. It is literally 3x as difficult. Everything gets faster, meaner and tougher. If you really want to punish yourself, try to get S+ in Hardcore. You have to finish in under 2.5 hours and you only get 3 saves. There are no autosaves.
Really enjoyed this series! If you're planning on playing re3r then you might want to consider playing re1r first just because the protagonist of re3 is the protagonist of re1. The remake of re1 still has kind of dated controls but it's not too bad. But if you're not too worried about following the story then it's fine to just move on to re3r and re4r

That was the best reaction to the sparkshot being used on zed
watched every minute of this . cannot wait for RE3 n 4
If you want to see what happens to Raccoon City its time to play RE3! Enjoyed this playthrough and look forward to seeing more RE.
I cant wait for re3
Its my favorite of the og 3 games
This was a fantastic playthrough. Hoping you get to the next chapter Resident Evil 4 next, instead of 3.
There are no autosaves.
u rocked the playthrough, now plz tell me u going to play resi 3 remake, jill is the best character
If you want to know what happens to the city, play re3make! Btw this is one of my favourites of your let's plays - I've been hooked 😊
Can't wait for more RE and also Silent Hill. My gf and I are looking forward to them
Hardcore difficulty offers 3 main challenges:
1. Stronger enemies
2. Less inventory
3. Saving requires an in-game consumable item
yes! please play as much RE as you can!!
Great series, Amber!!
Enjoyed it.
I can't wait for you to play RE3.
This game is like the gold standard for remakes!
1:10:47 how amazing that Claire says what I consider to be one of your catchphrases; "d'you like that" 😂 She is an awesome character
14:28 I may have laughed a bit when you said that. Dunno if you have seen the Resident Evil movie.
Play RE3, please
55:52 You forgot that Birkin killed the tyrant (Mr. X) 🤣
Will you play the 4th Survivor for this one?
I think you’d enjoy the Life is Strange series or The Walking Dead telltale if you’re looking for narratives.
Anete was shoting acid at William, in Resident Evil creatures with no skin like the lickers are weak to acid.
excited for RE3 and RE4 hehehe
