Three Takeaways: This video was much more conversational than the others in this playlist so I'll just list my three favorite tips: 1) Don't share too much information in your outreach message (as Roger H. Lincoln said, "Never tell everything you know") but instead, just enough to entice them into a meeting with you; 2) If something is working, double down on that thing and cut the other stuff out. It'll just become distraction; 3) HAVE FUCKING FUN!!! Turn prospecting and outreach into a game or a fun science experiment. Try and set challenges for yourself. Remember that the only person you're fighting against in this world is yourself. Be better than the day you were before and celebrate when you win!
Me too. 75 is a laughable amount and you'll barely have time for anything else Unless you have a team of 10 - 15 people to handle your actual services, prospecting, project management etc And the headaches from all those clients would be insane lol
Haha i know it's a year late but Gmass allows you to send 1900/day so that's just the minimum. Imagine if you could have 6 emails and put Gmass in all of them.
What a wake-up message this is for everyone involved in sales. Lead generation is the bloodline of the sales industry. By consistently generating high-quality leads, businesses can maintain a steady flow of potential customers, supporting expansion and profitability. Thank you Patrick!
This follow up is actually kinda a forgotten to me hahaha, thank you for reminding me on that. and the last point is also agree!! sometimes it is frustating, especially when you get no results after working for hours but even days to reach customers through cold emails or/and cold callings
Patrick your videos gives the confidence about the inside sales process and i am very thankful to you. How can one have lead generation effectively 4 hours per day , How one should search the database in case of b2b and how one should generate leads for b2c, would like to have a videos about it.
Patrick, big fan of your videos. I’m about to start as a BDR at Netsuite and everything you preach applies to my job. Great stuff and please keep producing more content!
Hey patrick, Ive really enjoyed watching your videos. I love the vibe that you create; makes it really fun to watch. I have a suggestion! Please provide some more advice when it comes to big boy clients. E.g. the leading businesses/clients in the industries that you are involved in. I feel like the techniques and approaches used, have to be tweaked abit when dealing with these types of clients. They are often really busy, stuck up and very mean 😡.
One of the best videos I have chanced upon! very real and practical. Just thinking out loud, do you think lead generation will evolve down the road? and how in your POV :) Many thanks, Patrick! Always enjoyed your videos.
i think marketing and sales will work much closer together instead of being separate in different departments. I also think the tools will get much better so less manual work for sales reps, and more time selling!
@@patrickdang Would be delighted to see this happening, as I know currently the challenge for outbound sales is knocking on the doors that do not have a demand, and it is also a chore for the prospects to respond. Hoping with the ubiquitous of data nowadays and moving forward, we could match supply/demand for the ease of both parties! :)
Hi Patrick. Just found your channel and I am loving it. Its straight forward and clear and what I hoped to find and learn about business development. I am currently binging on it right now and pursing a business development route. I have a question: What types of software would you recommend for business development (emails, follow ups, storing info etc)? Are there any free ones I can use until I pay for something solid?
Thanks for helpful sharing again! I'd like to know more about 75 number. Does it count follow-ups too? I guess with that number, we would not be able to do too much research and personalization?
It includes the the follow ups so you'll have to be aware of that when you're scheduling. You can personalize for a specific pain in a specific industry. If you can find lets say 20 companies that have the same problem in the same industry, the reader will feel like it's personalized for them.
@@patrickdang I still think that's insane and borderline counterproductive Sir For example I handle web design and SEO services for startups with 2 - 50 employees Just getting 100 leads a day and checking their websites if they have outdated websites OR if they aren't ranking properly on Google can take 10 hours because you'll check like 8-10 before you see 1 that has a crappy website When would you have time for family, social life, WORKING on websites for current clients? From my experience over the years. 10 - 20 cold emails a day is the sweetspot as it let's you contact 300 - 600 a month which should land 1-3 clients for $3k - $15k each And that on its own requires you to vet 80 - 200 companies and their websites every day
@@william_SMMA Hey if that works for you, keep at it. I personally find that people who sell commodity services have trouble getting a high response rate so I'm offering a different perspective to make their proposition more unique. You can also use software to speed up the process of checking websites vs. doing it manually.
@@patrickdang hmm. Please give more insight into that if you can Sir Automation softwares that can check if a website looks outdated would be amazing 🔥

#2 is a good tip, since a lot of "formal" stuff goes straight into spam. Formal stuff reads like the foreign scammers who overcompensate with wording and try too hard to mask their imperfect non-native English.
Great Information Patrick! You really simplify the prospecting process so its easier to understand. Do you have some suggestions on how to market on Facebook?
Hi Patrick, nice video thanks for this! If you make leads for somebody else how much would you charge for arranging a meeting? E.G in the field of IT or 3D printing?

Hi Pat! Thanks a lot for this information, it's great value! Would be great to have it in spanish, maybe can help with that! Is it better to make the call to action (Meeting invitation) since the first email, in the follow-up, or both?
Great tips. Apart from emails, getting contact numbers are a real challenge. So would be a good suggestion? Calling clients or emailing them first?
