The hardest thing about following TH-cam channels over the years is when the success leads to turnover and recasting. I'm sure Buzzard is a fine cat, but Catdog left big shoes when their agent got them a better gig. (Recasting? Recatting? Either way...)
I am just about 80 years young and it seems like yesterday I was where oynx is now. I have always been so thankful I grew up on a farm. A lot of hard work and dangerous situations But still the best life close to the earth and God !
I have not been fortunate enough to grow up as you and Zack...but I have always felt a calling. Life chose a different path for me, and it's a fine one. But the beauty of Zack's channel is that it exposes me to the experience. And I absolutely love it! Next life maybe 🤔.
I love the sign off "Keep it between the rows". Except when it comes to the stalk stompers, then have to be kept on the row. lol! Reminds of the driving saying, "Keep it between the ditches" Keep up the excellent videos.
I had to chuckle listening to you use compass directions while you worked on the bin. When I was a kid, we loved to help my uncle on the family farm and he always used compass directions, especially if you were backing a piece of equipment into the shed. He’d say “keep it to the east until right at the end, then take your tractor to the south”. We had to know which direction was which. Just a fun farmer thing and a warm memory.
Our semis go dead a lot because the electric tarp is ran right to the battery. If you unplug the tarp when you’re done it may help a bit. Worked for us when we actually remember to do it lol
I've always thought he had a mount inside the combine or tractor while he records, but he is doing it with one arm and driving with the other. Now that is talent!
It's still heart warming for me to see multigenerational farming, a person sees so much division and corruption in the world today that your content is a warm reminder of just how good we humans could be 🥺
One of the coolest parts is seeing onyx grow and help and learn more. Definitely seems to enjoy helping and could see him in a few years taking over more time on the channel or having his own
Sump saver needs to be able to add a 1” airline that runs out to the bulkhead on the bin wall to that tees into the blades that turn that when they turn it blows air around to help loosen and allow material to continue to flow. Your welcome
In Michigan, there’s been farmer spraying to kill the beans before harvesting to get rid of the green the beans are so dry but the plant is not so they’ve been spraying them
Your truck that always has the battery issue ( might have done this already in one of your videos but not 100% on it because i watch a lot of TH-cam) but change out all the battery cables. I had a 2000 for ford excursion with the 7.3 diesel in it and had problems with the batteries always dying. Replaced the batteries multiple times even though they tested good. Found out that if a battery cable including your ground has a short in it it will create a draw And that will drain your batteries. After changing all the battery cables including the ones that went to the fuse box and to the engine/frame it fixed the issue.
I know you have a lot of local support for your equipment, but I keep reading about farmers with John D equipment not having local support and are delayed when they break. I hope these John D issues don’t directly affect your family. Enjoying the channel. Thanks for sharing.
I notice at 1:46 that the German Shepard was biting the tire..... My GS used to do that everytime I used a lawn mower or the Kawasaki Mule. I could never get her to stop doing it.
Its definitely a dog thing, my Border Collie use to do the same, even with the hand pull (start) mower - probably thought he was "helping" the boss, especially by the amount of swearing being emitted... hahaha
When do I get a job for harvest? I’ll make the drive from Arkansas I’m just a small time farmer with less than 30 acres total only have them in about 10acre plots but I’m still grateful for the land!
Lots of green beans and green pods on the bottoms here in southern MN. To much rain early in the year and almost no rain since the middle of August, plus a few hail storms, not very good yields.
Good to see Onyx helping out more and learning more about farming, he's growing up, but you might want to let him know not to put his face too close to the drill when he's drilling, if that drill kicked it might not feel too good.
Took me a second to get what you were saying about "shining up" until your dad mentioned the rust. Never occurred to me that's an issue with the equipment.
todays been such a good day, i landed tailwhip, got my dream fragrance, new scooter and had a great day at school, seeing you uploaded made it even better
i love seeing ur son around more often it’s a great thing keep the tradition going 👍

CatDog…legend status in my opinion.
Maybe it got meet " Minnesota Migrants" but I hope the Cat is ok ...
I love how the pups always sit in the same seat on the commute to work.

I can’t agree more! Thank you for your farming service.

@@glennpotts2435, Me too at 77. Hang in there Glenn !! H.
Well at least you have everything dialed in ready to go. Prayers for a good noneventful harvest!
The cat at the end reminds me of CatDog. Im sure hes happy wherever he is😢
I think he said that cat dog moved himself into the neighbor’s shop.
8:24 We appreciate the snoot boop!

Hey John, remember me? We went to school together
Nice to see you picking! I have been waiting all summer for this. :) Stay safe, hope you have a good harvest.
Harvest, the yearly highlight! All the best to you guys 🥳
so excited for harvest season
As well as hunting season
Happy hounds
Perfect way to start every video mate, a conversation with Didg and Ana
Always a good day when you put out a video thanks
Love harvest. Congratulations on the first load in for the year.
I love spending time with you in the combine!
Your yard is beautifully presented....😊
I love Nathan's humor. It would be nice to hear more of it!
Happy harvesting, may the grind be smooth.
I love how the dogs get into the Ranger in the same order and have their assigned seats....

Thanks for the video, it is nicer than tv. Wish you a safe harvest.
Good to see you are ready, so get set, you're already and..... Good luck this year. From UK.

Getting excited for harvest! Looking good!
That center sump is a must have if you have a john deere combine.
I played MF map on farming simulator 22 it's bye far my favorite one they have everything I see on your farm i give it a 10

Glad that you got harvesting season going now, hope all goes well until your are completely done.
3:32 bless you!
Upgrades are a beautiful thing.
Good Morning Millennial Farmer,Ed from Vermont
The start of harvest and lets hope it is great all the way through.
I am so excited for harvest to begin! Onyx is sure growing up! We miss seeing Becky and the girls!
You must be putting Hog Shit in Onyx's shoe's....That boy grew alot since spring...🎉😂😂🎉
He's been eating the fertilizer 😂
Onyx has been sleeping in the greenhouse! 😂
He's only growing about an inch a month at this point. 🤣
He’s definitely stretchin out! He’ll be taken on his dad in no time! 😉
Miracle Grow for the boy. Glycolphosphate for the plants. I guess if you ain't growing something ur not a farmer
Man you handled that question from Onyx with... ... alot of kindness.
Nice for Life Saver !
Running the step drill bit on a 1/4" impact works great, doesn't hurt the wrists and still gets through material quickly.
Tried corn 2 days ago and to wet 22%...Tried beans today and to wet and green. N.Missouri just waiting.. We had a 3 week planting delay and replant.

Love the videos

Letttsss goo harvest is back
It always takes a couple of hours to get the combine set up when you’re starting harvest. Good luck in the days ahead and stay safe.
Love Onyx stepping up and following his dad and grandads footsteps
Your combine is now almost an S7 800.
Just put another sticker on it and you got it xD
I wish I could tag along for a weekend of harvest. I always found it interesting and grew up around it in Illinois.
I’m ready for harvest
Great video Zach
We put a gen 5 monitor in our 4830 sprayer. Its awesome!
We were in the Perham-Detroit Lakes area 2-3 weeks ago and they were yellowing then. Quite a quick change!!
My eyes must be off, but Oynx looks like he's grown up alot this summer. Hopefully you guys will have a safe enjoyable harvest this fall.
Anazing video guys. Thank you guys so much
Good job guys
CIH has had those on their combines as factory equipment for 10 years
The engineers at Deere are a little slow
@clearskiesranch1362 those deere engineers are Chinese 😂
I know you have a lot of local support for your equipment, but I keep reading about farmers with John D equipment not having local support and are delayed when they break. I hope these John D issues don’t directly affect your family. Enjoying the channel. Thanks for sharing.
Nothing about that is true. John Deere has the largest dealer network in North America and a well established parts distribution center.

Nice soft start. Kudos to Onyx to get right in the bin and learn another job.
Thanks

Great video good to see y'all
I like the new monitors.
Hope to see MR JIM soon 🙏
Those two faithful companions sure have you trained….😂 What would you do without them!
It's hilarious when you sneeze!

I love the cat immediately validating its name 😂
Love your dogs,they are cool.....😊
Being picky but if you put the bean head in the shed you would t need to get it shined up!!! Have a good harvest

My favorite time of year as a kid. A single row McCormick corn picker. A simpler time.
Dang man! And I thought granddads 2 row picker was too slow as a kid. 🤣

We were driving through Bean country, here in Michigan, yesterday (9/29/24). Everybody was going like gangbusters.
The yipping helps the tractor start, everyone knows this.
She’s trying to mimic the starter.
She's heckling the engine with sarcastic jokes to make it start
Please show firing the new dryer up for the first time if you run it this year, will be neat to see, thanks for sharing
@Millennial Farmer on day you will look back and miss all those crazy things the dogs do.
My drill just started doing that too bought a new one
You are going to turn around one day soon and your son is going to be looking eye to eye with you. Good job dad.
Hope you have a great harvest. Hopefully no Larson farms luck.
What keeps the hoses out of the sweep auger?
How is Jim, is he coming back,
Love it
Harvest is upon you and so is the cold weather sweeping in
Have nice day, my friends
Good start great video guys
Have a safe harvest
Harvest time 👍❤️🇨🇦
I was watching this with my dad and when he say you using a rake he said “I’m surprised he knows how to use one of those”.
I so miss cat-dog. Thank you and take care.

Good luck on harvest....have fun...stay safe.....let the good times roll....... LoL..... Deborah 🇨🇦🙏
We got beans that are stupid dry up here in southern Ontario
