Any updates regarding the quality of the camera and its current setup? Would you recommend this to a new buyer? Thanks.

I would pass if I were you. Image quality is bad. I know they came out with another camera since but I’m reading same complaints on image quality. I purchased an amazon camera for $20 and installed on a different vehicle and image quality and performance is 10x better..

Is it the camera quality that’s bad or the monitor?

I purchased the same camera to connect to my CTS2 Evolution. I installed it on my truck and connected it to the CTS2 unit. However, when I placed the gear to reverse, the camera won't turn on. The camera does turn on when I first cranked the truck when the CTS2 unit turns on. Then it would go away and cycled until it switches to the gauges screen. I followed the steps you took related to camera settings.
I checked and double-checked the connections per the instruction manual but all checked out. Is there something I missed or something I'm not doing? Any help you would be greatly appreciated.

If the Camera has power I'd check the RCA connection. Also try unplugging the CTS2 from the OBD2 port and plugging it back in with the camera hooked up so it learns that it is there. I heard of some people with manual transmissions having the same issue so if you do this might be the case. I noticed my camera would glitch/not work properly and have blurry lens during the winter months. It works flawlessly and it is clear when it is warm. I hope you can figure it out. When this thing breaks I won't bother getting a replacement until something better comes out. Thanks for watching!

J.J.’s Garage thanks for the response. I will sure follow your recommendations and let you know if it works. Disconnecting and reconnecting the cts2 from the obd2 port, would you do that while the engine is off? Thanks

@@usmarinenapinoy No problem. Yes, with the engine off.

J.J.’s Garage roger that. Which fuse did you tapped into in your fuse box to power the back up camera?

@@usmarinenapinoy I used an old gauge tap I had underneath the steering column. It is a red wire with a yellow stripe. There is 2 of them tI used the one with the thicker yellow stripe. I eventually also turned the camera off at start up and it still works. you can message me @_jjsgarage_ on Instagram and I can send you a pic of the wire I used. I hope this helps.

I just installed mine on my CTS3. It isn't even full screen. Secondly, the quality sucks and lags a lot. Feels like 10fps. Performs like a $20 camera and I paid $200 🙄

I am with you 💯. Never again. The $20 one I put in the other truck performs 100 times better.
