    Thanks Dude, I’m an old guy with really no clue how this stuff works as far as mapping goes. I know for sure it’s dumping more fuel. I really dropped the Edge tuner in my 24 valve Cummins second gen just to give me a little more jam for dragging my fifth wheel. Don’t want to race it or blow it up just haul stuff. It is really cool technology. When I set it on 2 it performs exactly how I had hoped up the hills. Dropped a new Rad from Mishimoto and an Ram Air from Banks. As with all trucks a guy has to stay on top of issues before things break or wear out. Love your ride stay safe out their on God’s green Eath

    What is DREG in bottom right corner?? I did a manual regen and DREG is 7 miles now and going up. What does it mean?? Anyone can answer and is it important gauge? Your Video is the BEST explaining the unit and which PIDs are important towing.

    Nick, please do a video on the fact that if the customer purchases the transmission tune, that they need to flash for the transmission and ECM tunes independently. I wasn’t aware of that and I had my Allison slipping in 4th and getting stuck in 4th.

    I'm rebuilding my 1976 d200 and swapping in a cummins 12 valve with a custom dash and trying to figure out what I should all monitor besides the basics especially since these will be a must for diagnosing issues without any computers/minimal electrical

    • @Duramaxtuner
      @Duramaxtuner  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We'd say it's dependent on what you are utilizing the vehicle for. If it's going to tow a lot follow the guidelines in this video.

      A stock LML has multiple exhaust gas temperature probes. They are called EGT1, EGT2, EGT3, EGT4 and located throughout the exhaust system. ‘1’ is closest to the engine and usually warmest. It’s located in the downpipe. 4 is closest to the tail pipe. 2 and 3 are pre and post DPF. They’re used to manage DPF temp during regen.

    Good stuff. I would argue one point, though. Yes, gauges haven't evolved since 1990, but IMO modern trucks are so sophisticated that the computer will likely detect and take action on any potentially detrimental condition before the driver does. May not apply if you're running garbage tunes. The 'curiosities' factor is def a thing, though.

    • @Duramaxtuner
      @Duramaxtuner  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Detrimental yes, but gauges generally help you avoid those situations before things get detrimental and hey, curiosity is enough for me.

    👍😎 l almost bought, went looking for a c.t.s.3 last week, found out quickly that there are many variations, starting at $300.00 up to $1,500.00 , is there a difference? or were there 🤔 sellers trying to profit more than others? I have a L.B.Z. 6-SPEED ALLISON, can you direct me to the right c.t.s.3 model? if in fact there are different models. I will be doing compounds with a built trans, l want a c.t.s. 3 that will expand with my upgrades, Thanks for all your help and work, your vidio's are great Nick! 👍Thank's in advance for answering my question. Why not run manifold egts?

    • @Duramaxtuner
      @Duramaxtuner  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If your truck is equipped with s sensor then by all means use it. We’ve done enough logging on LMLs over the years to know how post turbo egts correspond to manifold temps so I don’t feel it necessary to add a probe in the manifold. -Nick
