This happens in Asia too, not just in DR and the Caribbean, this is a fact. Can't wait til a spokesperson comes out of there. They even have a product called "Fair and Lovely" that's supposed to make black skin look white, look it up. It's a very successful company, look their commercials up on TH-cam. America's been the only country speaking on these matters. Representatives in other countries haven't had a chance to speak up so nothing changed in those countries. They were also askin y does she feel she struggled when she managed to break through in the Latin market - Ctg asked the same thing ... Amara was also articulating these issues much clearer in this interview better . Alot of BFC mistake was that they kept referencing American market when Amara was specifically addressing Latin American market and their lack of Dark skin representation.

Some of these comments really make me ashamed to be African American,the ignorance in these comments from people who look just like Amara are blasphemous. Then y'all wonder why black people from other countries look down on us. Why are we always the first to put our own people down?

I'm talking about the African Americans in these comments who are saying she needs to stop "complaining",they're not sure how to take her seriously,she sounds uneducated & are just oblivious to the struggles she's gone through and still going through.
As a dark skin black female I'm very aware that others stereotype African Americans. I go through it all the time, that just wasn't the point of my comment at all. But thanks for your input.
