She sees herself as a latina before anything. She is fighting for darker skinned Latinos to be accepted by the populous mestios (light brown/whiter Latinos) she is not fighting for black people.
First off she is Latina. She cant escape from that. She can only fight for whats based off of her own experience! And that's being Dark skinned Latina in the Latin community.
