One thing I would've added to this video would have been to disconnect the battery terminals from the battery after engaging the vehicle in the lower gear. It's always a good idea to work on your vehicle without any active power, especially when replacing the head unit radio such as you are.
I love how this is obsolete now , if ya radio has Bluetooth link your tablet to it throw some Velcro on the back of it place it infront of your stock radio your good to go, and outstanding instructions also sir

Boost Creep all the connections will match but for older models it will be diffrent colors so for that best bet would be looking the original wiring up and it is plug and play

Alright look my stepson broke off a tip to a aux cord inside the box part and I keep looking up Mercury mountaineer 2007 touchscreen supposedly this came with the car the touchscreen but it has no name of the model of this touchscreen radio so I got it out but I got to get the piece out what would be the best way for me to get the broken part out

Hi would you happen to know if its the same for a 2016 explorer im having a issue with just the radio part saying entertainment unavailable. I believe something is loose because prior it work but if i hit a bump it'll automatically change settings from radio to cd player and this last time it just competely stopped working and the fuse to radio keeps burning
I have a 2005 v6 convertible with the shaker 500 while back my radio stopped working for me it'll come on however it's stuck on 590 am station and will not turn from that station any help with this matter will be greatly appreciated
So I have the unit that is a 6 disc changer/mp3/radio, no navigation. When I start my '07 Explorer or shut it off I hear the motor running on the cd player but no matter what cd function I push I get "error" or "load error" or "disc error". I can't load or eject discs. Is there any kind of a "reset" process or is the unit probably just junk. Thanx for the video btw, now I at least know how to remove the unit to verify the product number to buy a replacement.

Thank you for this video. The Navigation CD part of the radio just malfunctioned and it can no longer read the disk. It makes a clicking noise when it spools up. Can this be repaired? Or is there an aftermarket replacement?
Thank you! I was able to rescue the cd's stuck in the player and reinstall. Everything works but the disk changer which I can live without and wasn't working anyway.
Excellent video, especially the "warning" on the air bag light - this can only be reprogrammed at a major dealer.

Very good instructions. I bought those plastic pry bars before trying it, and they worked great.

I had the same problem with my 03 Ford Escape. I had to use a felt head screwdriver and get the CD that was jammed moved
