what exactly caused the leaks to the fittings and how did you fix them?

For must of the fitting You just need to tighten them some more.

Just an FYI.... the twist connect plugs that you list as being M22 15mm are actually M22 14mm

Sorry man but that Mustang looks terrible. I like your PW set up but it is not a budget set up. I have the same Active unit and all components work well. If you want to upgrade it you can do what you are suggesting but again, not a budget setup.
