    Hey Keav, interested to know if the carrying handle, and maybe even plug holder can be dismounted? Want to buy, but need to fit in very tight spot in a vehicle system… replacing a Ryobi 1600 that is packed pretty tightly on the top shelf of my rig. Thanks!

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  ปีที่แล้ว

      Plug holder snaps on and off and is not attached out of the box. The handle does look to be a separate piece based on it isn’t the same mold as the body. Not sure how it’s attached though. This unit is big compared to a Ryobi 1600. If you can afford an extra $100 the Active 2.0 would be perfect. It is very small and inlet hose position has been moved to the side.

    8/27/22. Just received my ve52. In stock configuration (stock hose, wand, 40deg/3.7) my gage is reading just under 800, call it 780psig. After switching out to 40deg/3.0, gage was reading 1000psig.
    After installing 50ft flexzilla hose w/ mtm wand w/ 40deg/3.7, massive surging that eventually went away, gage was reading just under over 700psig. Swapped it out for the 40deg/3.0 and pressure went up to just over 900psig with every release of trigger causing pressure to jump to 2200psig.
    Thoughts??

      I answered a good bit on the other comment so will touch a few other points on this one. Where did you buy it from? Try and contact customer support with the model serial number to see if it has all the upgrades. Is it working well, but you are just worried about that 2200 PSI jump? I would be too though. Have not seen that problem on my units.

    You’re funny dude. Good feedback and testing. Aesthetically and when functioning properly that pw really is the best value and numbers for washing cars. I like their new one but honestly I think this one looks a bit better. I have a Karcher cube but it does sound like it’s struggling to keep up with 50ft Garden&pw hose. Also has a bit of delay. What filtration system would you recommend in Arizona? TDS is over 300 and I wash about 8-10 times a month.

    • @CarsWithKeav
      @CarsWithKeav  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry so late to respond this comment was flagged for review for some reason. If you can afford it the CR Spotless is the best for that hard of water. The Maxwater I have used before is okay, but with that high TDS you will blow through the resin quickly and be constantly changing. Video on the CR Spotless should be out in the next day. I agree this one looks better than the 2.0 they have coming out, but I'm getting it for the double lifespan, small forma factor and the inlet being on the side. amzn.to/3BeZzLl amzn.to/3POlXPS

      @@CarsWithKeav no worries and great points. Probably flagged because sometimes I speak a little too much truth in comment sections:) You may already know but the Suds n Go channel is about to launch a fully set up RO DI system. The RO alone brings water with a tds of 274 down to 005 before going thru the DI resin. The main reason for this system was all the money he was spending on resin. My question is would you even need to use resin at that point? Seems close enough to zero but they system is going to be all one unit. Thanks bud. Appreciate your replies.

    • @CarsWithKeav

      A few things to consider first would be water pressure going to the unit, leaky hose or spray gun or possible dirt stuck in the nozzle. The unit should turn off right when you let go of the trigger. If it is not anything of those things reach out to their customer service. Possibkly the CAT versions didn't get updated or it was old inventory.

      I only ran 20 AMP as I couldn’t run battery charging, pressure washing, portable A/C at the same time. Plus I hated my lights flickering whenever I pressed the trigger on my spray wand. It is not self priming you would have to feed water to it at a certain flow for it to work. Very few self priming ones out there and most are battery powered and not plug in. Search self priming pressure washers as they will draw water from a tank or bucket. If the tank is elevated it could gravity feed to this one though. Many would run a pump if it isn’t gravity fed.

      @@user-zt6ee5iz6o Active 2.0 I think was their first product in their own factory, I think the VE52 was being manufactured in other places. Might have brought it in house later, but not sure. Maybe they might discount the 2.0 a little and let it share two markets and only need 2 products instead of 3. they also have the CAT brand products living in the lower value range. Possible they discontinued to ramp up for the launch and will start producing again later. So many theories though for us to ponder. LOL

      The newly updates ones they state can handle a 3/8 50ft hose. I am not sure about 100 ft though. Let me check.

      @@CarsWithKeav Hi Keav, @ACTIVEPRODUCTS replied to me and said a 3/8 hose at 100 foot has no issues. Cheers and thanks!

      The only thing i don't like is the inlet and outlet locations....so backward and makes trying to keep things compact and tidy a pain.

      It’s not cheap, but for what you get it’s worth it. Next closest pressure washer with this kind of ability is $800. Only if you would utilize its potential would it be worth it though. It’s a car retailers dream to have this kind of performance.
