Josh, I really enjoy your reviews and actually based my purchase of this unit largely on your review. I do need to share what happened to me after the purchase. Others may gains some value and at least be more informed. Purchased this pressure washer on 10/20/23. Used it once... Worked great. No serious issues. Good pressure, did not overheat, TSS pressure system worked reasonably well but need to make sure no small leaks in hose and connections or the unit will cycle a lot. After use, was putting the unit away in my car and I caught the TSS switch on the edge of the car and it cracked the switch housing. This is the most delicate part of the pressure washer and it is not protected with any guard. If this unit were to roll over or be hit by something else or your hose got hung up and tangled, I can see this part getting damaged. I am not blaming "Active" for the damage whatsover (Other than that switch is not very well guarded and is plastic) However, I reached to them to purchase a replacement part. I emailed them and called and spoke to a support rep. I received this response a short time ago: I checked with the tech team and manager, and unfortunately, we don't have this part available, and we're not sure if it will be available in the near future. Let me know if you'd like to buy another 2.0; I can offer a 15% discount. Best Regards, Customer Support, ACTIVE PRODUCTS I was a bit surprised for such an expensive product that they have no parts or support. Obviously, this is a very, very big disappointment to me. As you can see from the photo I have included, I just purchased this unit three weeks ago, paid $369 and the unit is basically junk now because Active cannot replace what is likely a $20 piece of plastic. My goal with this review is not to air out my issue with the merchant, my goal is to put anyone on notice that if they are purchasing this product, Active does not seem willing to replace any parts but will be quick to offer you to buy another unit. I can understand this type of response with a $79 Harbor Freight electric pressure washer, but this purchase for me was significantly researched and I looked at it as an investment into a really high quality machine. If this unit does break, and it is not covered by warranty, you will be at risk losing your $350 + investment. Too bad. At this price point, basic parts should be available. As you can see from the photo, it is very specialized and as I said the weakest link of the unit. From what I have seen and brainstormed, I have no way to workaround it.... HAVING SAID ALL OF THIS, I am not blaming you or your review. I appreciate all your information and detailed review. I just thought this would be reasonable to add for anyone that may be considering this unit. In addition, I am open to any ideas you may have about how I might gain some value out of something that is essentially a boat anchor now..... :(
Oh man that is terrible. I’m so sorry to hear that and thanks for posting that to bring awareness. Yeah that piece breaking is unfortunate but I would hope that there was solution for it. When you get into the serviceable units like the kranzle, or ar630 then they have repairable components but those units are much more expensive. Send me a picture of where yours broke to dtlrsupply@gmail.com and I’ll see if I can think of a solution for you
Hope you found a solution to your problem. From what I can see this TSS switch appears to be a pressure switch. I figure it turns the electric motor on when the trigger is pulled (pressure drops) and motor off when trigger is released (pressure increases). Looks like you would be able to find an aftermarket switch with the same psi rating and connections.

Thanks for sharing !! Based on your video and your review on this pressure washer I made my decision to buy it. Was looking for a small portable pressure washer and this impressed me so much that I ordered yesterday (2/18/24) from Amazon. To be honest, I had not heard of this brand, nevertheless I had seen it advertised on Amazon website, but never caught my attention. Just waiting on its arrival. Followed your advice and purchased different accessories for a better experience.
you are the best youtuber i have found in a long time. perfectly descriptive. good camera angles. just all around great product. thanks for all the effort put into this video
Excellent review! I think I need one now, I've been looking at "the usual suspects" and found nothing I liked until this small ACTIVE 2.0 unit, nice, thanks!
Great review! Yes, when you double the length of the hose, you will double your friction loss. That accounts for the pressure decrease. If you put your pressure guage at the beginning of the hose, you will see the same pressure regardless of the hose length. However, that would not accurately tell you the performance at the nozzle. It would only demonstrate the loss.
After watching the reviews of the new Active 2.3 I have a deeper appreciation for the 2.0. I think it is a great value compared to the latest heavyweights that are significantly more expensive. With this unit being a good ten decibels quieter, and at its price point, it is the unit to have.
Thanks Josh...as always you are the best source for pressure washer and accessory reviews. I’m still on the OG Josh setup… Ryobi, Uberflex and MJJC. The Ryobi works but it’s annoyingly loud. I’m upgrading this year. The Active 2.3 coming out at $650 and the AR at $800 are a tough pill to swallow… but the 2.0 can be had for $300 right now. Might have to snag one. My fear with the 2.0 is the high pitched noise. I want something quieter. Wondering how it compares to the Ryobi. Great stuff Josh!
Great review Josh ..I am waiting for my sunjoe to give out so I can buy this ..I got the Wagner and Bissell spot clean pro from ur recommendation and they r working like a champ
Wow! Why are they taking so long to ship out these machines....I just ordered mine like 3 days ago directly from their official Active website so it looks like I'll be waiting a long time before I receive the unit which it sucks.

Just watched your video on the Chemical Guys Power Washer. This Active 2.0 by far is a superior product to what the " Guys" have. Up to know, this is leading the race to my choice
I bought the Active VE52 last October after you reviewed it and I love it… no issues with mine (so far). I bought a 50 foot Flexzilla hose to accompany it because the Uberflex was not available at that time.
Awesome video. I’m just a dumb homeowner! Would the active be a pressure be good for around the house? Siding, patio, car etc? Or should I get a Greenworks like the 2300 or karcher 1700? For example. Thank you!
I have the older activ, bought it last year so not ready to buy a new one, but this one looks great. You are right about the power button I can see why it would fail but otherwise a great pressure washer.
@@jjabblePlayStation Nope. I was quoted "late September" so they're running out of time. Only three days left 'til OCTOBER! Also, I ordered from a vendor, Obsessed Garage, not from Active directly.
@@jjabblePlayStation Well, here it is, the LAST day of September. Haven't received my 2.0 YET. And, neither have I received an email from anyone. I suppose, now, they'll blame their tardiness on the hurricane. Perfect timing. Probably another 2 or 3 week wait.
@@imdeplorable2241 That really sucks but tbh I don't trust OG so I went with the official Active website. I sent 2 emails and they haven't responded. We're on the same boat. I wish these units were sold at Amazon so I wouldn't have to deal with this kind of crap. Good luck!
I got my 2.0 the other week to replace my VE-52. Nothing wrong with the VE-52, but I wanted to try out the new unit. Finally got a chance to use it a couple of times this weekend, and I really like it. It does have a little bit of motor wind-down after releasing the trigger that I hadn't noticed on the VE-52, but I appreciate the fact that they went to a more standard hose connection over the VE-52 so I don't need an adapter, and I also like the fact that you can purchase this unit without any accessories to save on the price for those who are going to be using their own hose and guns. Overall, my first impressions of the unit after a couple of uses are really positive, and I'm hoping I'll be as happy with the 2.0 as I have been with the VE-52.
@Geese1 Is it still holding up? I just bought a VE52 and it's still in the box but I've read a lot about leaking units. I am considering returning it and putting the money towards a 2.0. Has yours been holding up? Any issues with the 2.0 and did you notice a difference between the two in terms of performance?
@@SnowBeltDetails It's been doing well, but being I live in the northeast, where it's currently winter, I haven't used it since last November or so. So far, so good though. I didn't notice a big difference between this and the VE52, but the unit is more compact, and I like the fact that I don't have to use a bunch of adaptors in order to use my aftermarket accessories (the 2.0 has standard fitting sizes). Overall, I'd say I like the 2.0 a little better, but I really didn't have any complaints with my VE52, and I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend that model to anyone who is interested in it.
I got this unit based on your recommendation and I love it. I’m looking to add a quick connect to my garden hose but not sure which one I need. Can you or anyone on here assist? Thanks for the help and keep up the great channel.
Once again another great video. I honestly think I'm going to order this one. I am going to order the one without the accessories. I don't mind paying more money for better quality. Now I do have my gas power washer that does a phenomenal job. With winter coming and my garage is only heated when I'm out there so the gas one is a pain in the keister. I've been looking for an electric one. That way I can drain my hoses and bring the unit into the warm house. I have a setup in our utility room. Got big shelving units and that's where I keep all my batteries and all the chargers for my tools. And this will fit nicely right there next to all of it. I most definitely gave you a big old thumbs up and of course I'm already I subscriber. Looking forward to your next video.
McKillans makes a kit too that includes their wand, wand extension, quick-connect parts, and foam cannon for a great price. Unfortunately no hose upgrade though.
How does this compare against the CAT? You should've spent some time talking about that. Per your testing the CAT made 1100 PSI and 1.9 GPM and costs a hundred dollars less with accessories and a 2 year warranty.
@@jjabblePlayStation Not sure to be honest, as I did the preorder so I waited a while. Heard that it has been pretty good for some customers, hopefully that'll be the same for you.
@@clay3544 One more thing if you don't mind...Are you using a foam cannon with a 1.25 orifice? I'm asking because I saw a vid on YT where they use a 1.1mm orifice with their foam cannon and the amps went up to 19. I only have 15amps outlets like most houses so I'm kinda worry if even the 1.25 might trip the circuit.
@@jjabblePlayStation I have an MTM foam cannon, using 1.25 orifice, connected to a 50' hose. 15 amp service (I believe) and no issues. I tested using Meg Gold class soap and considering it's not really meant for a foam gun it worked well. I've got some P&S Pearl and CG Mr. Pink to try out. I'm sure you'll be fine with the 1.25

Have McKillans Washer Gun w/Swivel and UBERFLEX 50ft Hose in my Wish List awaiting shipment from Matt.
I noticed Yamatic has two types of 3/8 steel braided hoses. 2Q21 and 2Q24. Only difference I could tell is that the 2Q24 comes with a stainless steel quick disconnect vs brass. Amazon has a deal on the 2Q24 so I went with that. BTW, I have the Uberflex with Active 2.0 but swapping it out just in case. I'll use the Uberflex on my other pressure washer which has the worst hose ever. Thanks for the info!
Thank you for quoting the whole set up someone should use threw out the video / active 2.0 pressure washer - uberflex hose, had same 22mm connect - and mjjc foam cannon pro - and the mckaillens swivel pressure washing gun
Love the video. Doing some additional research before making the purchases. Does the Uberflex/Flexilla hoses recommended in this video work with the Active 2.0? Active 2.0 website says that they recommend steel braided hoses. Are steel braided hoses less flexible (harder to move around)?
Hi Josh. I purchased the Active 2.0 along with the hose and the MJJC Foam Cannon. So far I've used it 3 times, and all 3 times the foam was very runny. The Active has a tag on it that reads, " Please refrain from using a 1.1 orifice as it can damage the motor ," Thoughts?
Hello there, the Active VE52 did run at 100 hrs which is the average lifecycle for electric pressure washers. The main idea behind the Active 2.0 is to focus on longevity. The Active 2.0 runs at twice the lifecycle of the VE52 (200 hrs).
Hi! Great tips! I have this machine but I'm missing the black box on the side of the pump which I believe is the auto stop... I cannot find a replacement for this, can you recommend an alternative parts to substitute for it? Thank you.
For a mobile detailing business with a $400 budget for the machine itself and not scaled up enough to consider a AR or Kranzle, really questioning this due to lack of serviceability why spend ~$325 to buy this with a residential-use-only 2 yr warranty when I can just get a Ryobi 1800 or Karcher K1700 cube with a 3mm orifice for less than half and a no-questions-asked 3yr/10yr warranty? I see a lot of bad reviews on the Karcher but are these people even trying to use the warranty? I just turrned in my ryobi for a new one at home depot when it started failing. took 15 minutes didn't even need my receipt, so the unit is basically free. As I understand it the Active 2.0 is better for personal home detailing but the Karcher is better for small mobile detailers?
What is the best way to get a light layer of dust and pollen off of a ceramic coated truck without having to wash it or do you need to wash it.? I'm going to get that Uber hose it looks a lot better for my Ryobi 1800 PSI electric pressure washer. Thank you for all your videos, you are a true professional and I really get a great education every time I watch anything new from your channel.
What a fantastic review . it is a good machine but the question is what market segment do they go after ? DIY can buy cheaper and spare little more time washing his car - it's not that he has X cars to finish . few more minutes will not kill him . professionals on the other hand should go with the 800$ and above machines . they will last MUCH longer . the metals and all components are heavy duty . So it leaves us with the DIY with "money doesn't matter up to 350$" segment . ok . there are those too.
What PSI and flow am I looking for in a pressure washer for washing the house/deck/ driveway as well as washing a car every now and then ? But mostly using it for getting the property clean ?
Don’t get too caught up on specs. Just about every dam pressure washer on the market will help you wash a vehicle. With that said for work around the house I would say you would want anything above 2k? And maybe 50ft hose or more to make it easier when doing work outside
The manufacturer uses a 5/16 hose if you buy it from them and they say that gives you the 2.0 flow at about 1000-1100 psi. Maybe your different results are due to using a 1/4 hose?
Thank you sir!!! That was a wonderful review, as all your reviews are. So through. One question, do you run that gravity fed? Or a pump? Thank you for all you do for us out here!!

I have the older activ, bought it last year so not ready to buy a new one, but this one looks great. You are right about the power button I can see why it would fail but otherwise a great pressure washer.
My 2.0 should be showing up any week now. The MJJC, hoses, etc. have already arrived and ready to work.
Did you finally get it? I just ordered mine directly from their website and was wondering how long does it take for them to ship the unit.
@@jjabblePlayStation Nope. I was quoted "late September" so they're running out of time. Only three days left 'til OCTOBER!
Also, I ordered from a vendor, Obsessed Garage, not from Active directly.
@@imdeplorable2241 Well that sucks, hope you get yours soon. Looks like I'm gonna be waiting a while for mine. Thanks for the reply.
That's good to know, are you using a foam cannon with a 1.25 orifice? I'm just curious because I'll be using mine with a 15amp outlet.
@@jjabblePlayStation I'm using it with the MJCC Pro foam Cannon with the default orifice, which I believe is the 1.25. Haven't had any issues.
@@saviordream That's good news, thanks a lot for the reply.
Looks like best pressure washer on the market
Awesome and azaming I'll be getting one soon perfect for me for detailing thank you for the info josh awesome videos
I got this unit based on your recommendation and I love it. I’m looking to add a quick connect to my garden hose but not sure which one I need. Can you or anyone on here assist? Thanks for the help and keep up the great channel.
Great video as always. I'm still waiting for a video on the deionized tank setup you have in the corner of the garage. Keep the knowledge flowing.
Great prize. Thanks Josh. I need a new pressure washer.
Thank you! Definitely going to be my next pressure washer once my ryobi breaks! Going to definitely use my own hose, gun and foam cannon
Like all your product reviews. Love to have one of these Active 2.0 pressure washer.
Great video. When you don't have a wand on the end of the gun what tip are you using when just rinsing the foam off the vehicle?
Looks to pack a good punch for such a small pressure washer. Looks great
I would love to have this bad boy!! Thanks for the great video man!! God bless!!
I’m happy with my Ryobi but could certainly up my game with this.
Ok this the one I ready need! Thanks Josh.
I love your videos ! But I do have to ask. If money was out of the equation, which cannon is your go to, the Griots or MJJC ???
Pretty sure by all the other videos he has it’s gonna be the MJJC.
@@davidbaca7853 probably. I have the MJJC still in the box. I just can't put down the Griots !
Great Review!!! What diameter garden hose inlet should we use???? 5/8 OR 2/4???? OR doesn’t it matter??? Thank You
McKillans makes a kit too that includes their wand, wand extension, quick-connect parts, and foam cannon for a great price. Unfortunately no hose upgrade though.
Is the 2.3 better for the added price? Or is the 2.0 better all around and for the lower price tag?
How does this compare against the CAT? You should've spent some time talking about that. Per your testing the CAT made 1100 PSI and 1.9 GPM and costs a hundred dollars less with accessories and a 2 year warranty.
Got my 2.0 last week and used it last weekend. So far so good. Wish they were available sooner with the shorter summer season we have here.
Good to know, just ordered mine directly from their website, how long does it take (more or less) for them to ship the unit? I'm in Florida btw.
@@jjabblePlayStation Not sure to be honest, as I did the preorder so I waited a while. Heard that it has been pretty good for some customers, hopefully that'll be the same for you.
@@clay3544 Alright, thanks for the quick reply, I appreciate it.
I'm sure you'll be fine with the 1.25
Josh, a long time subscriber is back. Moved out of a Rental, put everything in storage including power washing/foam items awaiting home construction completion. That took over a year. Can’t use gas power washer because of noise. Just order the 2.0 from Matt at Obsessed Garage. I have 2 Foam Cannons and MTM SG35. What size Orfice would you recommend for the Foam Cannons??? Have McKillans Washer Gun w/Swivel and UBERFLEX 50ft Hose in my Wish List awaiting shipment from Matt.
Preordered this can't wait for it to come in.
Is this mainly for auto detailing? Can it be used for diy home use?(driveway/patio) cleaning
Get an answer?
I know someone who just got this machine as well and he loves it. Nothing really negative to say about it.
Thanks for the review.
Love the video. Doing some additional research before making the purchases. Does the Uberflex/Flexilla hoses recommended in this video work with the Active 2.0? Active 2.0 website says that they recommend steel braided hoses. Are steel braided hoses less flexible (harder to move around)?
Wow that looks pretty compact and it save water.
Nah, Ryobi 1600 on sale at HD for $80 plus new gun and hose, ~$150. Does everything a DIY'er needs and when it croaks, toss it and get another one for
Hate to say it but you might be right thats like 300 hours of use for 300 bucks 🤣
I have been waiting for this Josh. Thank you. I'm curious on the longevity of this. I heard VE52 had some issue with that.
Hello there, the Active VE52 did run at 100 hrs which is the average lifecycle for electric pressure washers. The main idea behind the Active 2.0 is to focus on longevity. The Active 2.0 runs at twice the lifecycle of the VE52 (200 hrs).
@@ACTIVEPRODUCTS I was sorry to see people who complained by email, who said you wouldn’t respond. Please do better
If you want to buy this to use on home sidewalks as well, im guessing use the stock wand and get the stubby for auto?
Does 1.1 orifice pull 15amp circuit breaker/outlet on the active 2.0?
Hi! Great tips! I have this machine but I'm missing the black box on the side of the pump which I believe is the auto stop... I cannot find a replacement for this, can you recommend an alternative parts to substitute for it? Thank you.
I have a craftsman pressure washer. I would love to have that for Christmas. That’s the perfect pressure washer for me.👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 phone
Can you do a video on best way to empty water when done using the Active 2.0
I need this badly, cheers!
For a mobile detailing business with a $400 budget for the machine itself and not scaled up enough to consider a AR or Kranzle, really questioning this due to lack of serviceability
why spend ~$325 to buy this with a residential-use-only 2 yr warranty when I can just get a Ryobi 1800 or Karcher K1700 cube with a 3mm orifice for less than half and a no-questions-asked 3yr/10yr warranty?
Great washer/video!
This pressure washer looks amazing. Is the 2.0 worth the extra money? The 1.0 seems like a good unit.
I definitely want this unit of a pressure washer
Nice overall review but will consider it once my existing unit dies.
Thanks Josh
What's the best for a regular car wash? What kind of pressure washer?
What soap did you use ? What dilution ratio? Love the soap you got! Great video! Regards,
Tony
Can you use a 100’ hose and another 50’ hose ?
Nice review. Im guessing backorder for couple more months.
Hey Josh do you prefer the active 2.0 or the adam's pro pressure washer? I'm debating which one to get from the two.
Should I be getting a 4.0 orifice size for all my pressure washer tips?
Looks like a nice little unit
Dope beat at the end
What a fantastic review . it is a good machine but the question is what market segment do they go after ? DIY can buy cheaper and spare little more time washing his car - it's not that he has X cars to finish . few more minutes will not kill him . professionals on the other hand should go with the 800$ and above machines . they will last MUCH longer . the metals and all components are heavy duty . So it leaves us with the DIY with "money doesn't matter up to 350$" segment . ok . there are those too.
Looks like a great unit .
Hey Josh, Great Vid! Just got this 2.0.
What cart are you using in this video? Looks handy.
Great video as always! Looking to get a new pressure washer
Hello, with your great experience, which would be the best for you?
Like the size and look of it.
Thank you sir!!! That was a wonderful review, as all your reviews are. So through. One question, do you run that gravity fed? Or a pump? Thank you for all you do for us out here!!
