    1. 3:13 Start doing the thought intentionally.
    2. 4:24 Remember a thought is just a thought, an idea.
    3. Take a breath, relax your body and white out the thought.

    This is actually both amazing and scary. This guy was using several NLP/hypnosis techniques while speaking. It actually worked immediately. I had this negative thought that kept bothering me and even had it while watching this video and now my mind automatically blocks it.
    Man, now I will never listen to any public speech w/o analyzing every word and gesture the speaker makes.

      I know it's been 5 years and you might not see this, but can you explain? I'm new to this, what techniques was he using while speaking that you're now looking out for in other speakers?

    I think it's important not only to get rid of the unwanted thoughts, but to replace them with higher, better thoughts. And then also to speak the better thoughts out loud.

    It's kinda important to COMBINE those techniques as it's very easy to lose the grip after getting overly excited. So not only thinking "thought is just a thought" or "whitening it out" (this will probably won't work when you are truly feeling down), but also intentionally bringing up these thoughts even when you are feeling good in order to really get used to them and understand them for what they are. Of course everyone of us is different, but talking from experience, there can be no compromises and you must be committed 100%, or else it may start to look like nothing is working. I had quite similar attitude and ideas even before watching this video, but it helped me realize that I was still scared of these thoughts to some degree (trying to find distractions etc), which was enough to sabotage myself! Thumbs up for awesome vid!

    Thoughts are powerful. Imagination/consciousness, is a creative force. Controlling or channeling it is very powerful and beneficial. Our society is not built to hone weird thoughts into a power that makes Heaven on Earth, but that can change. Maybe the human race is becoming more creative/aware. Learning how to harness and guide our thoughts into a cohesive power might take a lot of... tribulation... trial and error through obstacles such as most mainstream media, wars, famine, slavery, debt, servitude, etc.

    I've found that these tricks are often temporary. When you have a persistent thought especially one that you don't like, it's often your unconscious trying to communicate something to you. Because you don't like the thought you don't listen and you push it away. What you're really pushing away is a program designed to deliver you a message so it persists. The best thing to do is welcome the thought and ask it what is the message it wants you to know. Remain open to the message. Once you get it, the thought usually goes away. Even if it doesn't, it likely won't bother you anymore. Think of persistent thoughts as a child tugging on you trying to get your attention. That's usually all they are, an unconscious, age regressed part of you trying to tell you something.

  • @NLPTimes

    and realise that no-thing negative is happening to your loved ones right now. In fact they probably feel great to know just how caring you are and want the best for them. Practice this proces of grounding yourself to the current moment, accepting that all thoughts are temporary and using your mind to vividly imagine great things happening for them and soon you'll find those old thoughts have changed and you no longer need to feel fearful anymore. Wishing you the best. Tom

    The uploader is in fact giving very responsible advice. Pre-existing medical conditions will ALWAYS need to be ruled out prior to referral to a psychologist. Not to mention it will be your medical doctor that does the referral, so unless you are calling up a private practitioner and shelling out a fortune, that is the best advice to be given in the first instance. Hell, you wouldn't want to sit through months of expensive psychotherapy to find out you were iron deficient!

    I am relieved to hear that others have this insane situation of inappropriate thoughts at the worse possible moment. It is uncanny and has made me look suspect too many times. An issue here is telepathic ability. If you've a measure it can be Quite difficult to tell which are your own thoughts. As the man says, this appears to build momentum.

    Hi Cinaevan, in order for you to refer to "those thoughts" you must have some representation that is already in your head - and it is not the events themselves that evoke fear in you but your (italics) THINKING that is tormenting you. If you are looking to apply the power of positive thinking in relation to this situation you would vividly imagine good things happening for your loved ones. Essentially inverse the outcomes the presumedly bad outcomes you are "holding as true" now and image them

    I appreciate your videos. I practice "Force Guidance" which is a synergy of a multitude of "persuasion" skills. I use this ability to better assist those in need. With this in mind, I'd like to encourage you, consider screening those who seek knowledge related to NLP, Hypnosis, etc, as to whether they have a benevolent temperament & character. Granted, there're NO guarantees a student will not abuse such "tools" & yet we still make the effort for conscience sake. Peace be with you.

    Hi Katyone, interesting point you raise. If we roll back the lens and look at the idea of skilled professionals helping people change by guiding them through processes that help them overcome fears, anxiety, disabling beliefs etc, then the idea of consciously and purposefully using NLP or any other change technology makes perfect sense and is very much necessary, given that mental health issues abound today.

    i hope this does not allow people to erase their humanity. i wouldn't want someone who was able to kill or even handle the death of someone they loved to just be "thought away". some things are not just thoughts, and they have meaningful consequences. ignoring the thought doesn't make the accompanying problems go away, and forgetting the initial reason may complicate resolution of the base problem in the future.

    Just a few days ago, on January 17th, my wonderful husband will have a birthday. When I look at him, when I listen to him, if I didn't know this man so well, I wouldn't believe he's almost 62. Out of that, forty years with me - shoulder to shoulder, through all the bad and good times. When I look back at our life together, it is amazing how many challenges we faced and managed to successfully deal with, still feeling happy. If there is no true love, such challenges may easily separate a couple; in our case, it only bonded us even stronger and made love each other even more. Despite all we've gone through, Witold became the same optimist, dreamer, and a very kind person loving the entire world and all the people. So - please send him belated birthday greetings. And if you can, please also help us to make this year Valentine day very special - make it possible for us to spend it in hotel. If you could also help us to deal with a challenge - our 15-year-old Mazda needs two repairs... Thank you for your love.
    And have a wonderful year 2016! :)www.crowdrise.com/weneedtobuycarwesale/fundraiser/witoldwolkowskiwww.gofundme.com/40yearsRosa Wolkowski

    HI KapStuf, good conversation. Basic tenet in NLP is if something isn't working try something else. Selection of a suitable technique is the first part of having a process that can work. Choose the wrong technique... (which many people do) and it ain't going to work. Likewise, if someone is inside their head going "is this working?" while they are trying to apply a technique to themselves it's going to mess things up. People aren't machines. So if something isn't working, change the approach.

    HI V Sam, I'm not a medical doctor or qualified to advise in such matters. However before you go down the route of getting any professional help, I'd encourage you to consult with your GP/Doctor and ensure that there are no medical reasons for your re-action. After that (assuming you get a full bill of health) you may want to research and find an experienced practitioner in NLP or EFT in your area who can help. Best wishes, Tom

    Spot on, for if what he thinks he knows, is correct, it becomes knowledge. Intelligence is the level at which you can acquire information, dissect it's components(through inquiry) and validate it's accuracy. It's a cyclical affair common to the human condition.....some are just better at it than others.
    If I have my definition of NLP down, it is merely an attempt to level the playing field in this arena :)

  • @Iashuah
    @Iashuah 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Wisdom is experience. Intelligence is regurgitation. There are things that we know that we know, things that we know that we don't. The things we must be mindful of are the things that we don't know that we don't know and the things we know for sure that just ain't so! :)

  • @NLPTimes
    @NLPTimes  12 ปีที่แล้ว

    as good. Sometimes when our mind is producing thoughts that are creating unwanted feelings you need to shake things up. Rather than being at the seeming effect of this invisible force and letting your mind drive you. You establish authority and set the tone that you are the person running your mind. There are many ways you can do this. But it starts with accepting that any "fearful" thoughts that arise are just thoughts - like bad weather - they will pass. Become present to the current moment

    Negative and repetitive thoughts are like fears -- not based on anything real. Many times we're simply imagining the worst case scenario, which almost always never happens, or mentally reliving a past trauma in a present situation -- again not based on anything real or currently happening. They say that '90 per cent of life is how you choose to react to it', and if one way doesn't work, you can try again and go in a different direction.

    @BarclayAvenue You're making some interesting points. Would it be unconscionable? No, I don't think it would be. However, if we came to a consensus that we're going to clean up the world of all evil by using mental influence, who is going to decide on where to draw a line between goodness and evil? The examples you gave are pretty straight forward to me. Often though, what is viewed as good by one person can be considered as evil by another. How would you propose to resolve that problem?

    Very nice.
    Hypnosis is amazingly effective and often directly responsible for major changes in an individual’s life patterns. The hypnotic state or trance state is natural for all humans and many animals. Hypnotherapy is a gentle, non - invasive mode of alternative healing which employs the use of your subconscious mind while it is in a relaxed state. And we love this relaxed mental state just as every day we are daydreaming, staring out the window, driving a car or just watching birds flying.

    This is hilarious - I agree.with you KapStuf. NLP fails to acknowledge that it doesn't work for everyone. But, what does? I find it even more interesting that the pre-suppositions of NLP, including "failure is only feedback" weren't even created by the founders Richard Bandler or John Grinder. I am not denying that NLP doesn't have anything to offer, but I think it probably works best with people who are really good at visualizing.

    Thinking the thought, 'I have a huge scar on my knee' does not make the scar go away, however scars and physical traits, especially when it comes to ones own body can be quite emotionally debilitating at times. What do you suggest for dealing with limiting thoughts relating to physical representations rather than fear/faith non physical thoughts? i.e Unwanted thoughts relating to circumstance.

    • @CzechRiot
      @CzechRiot 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      He's talking a lot of crap, self-help religious type of crap. All of this type of crap does actually work a little, but only on crappy shit. It's like, if you fear going into elevators, if you fear meteors, aliens, ghosts, nuclear war, vomiting out of the blue in public, etc. Then these little "mind control" things work. Like people who talk about how they overcome the fear of skydiving or bungee jumping, or switching careers, etc. But these are all stuff with little chance of real bad results, so it may be considered "unfounded fears", and in this cases the "thoughts are just thoughts". But for many people the fear is due to real events (like the scar on the knee, as an analogy), if you are afraid of being shot and you live in Palestine, is not "just a thought". If you live in a ghetto zone infested with drug dealers, your fear of having your house raided by police at night is not "just a thought". For many people, and in many circumstances, the probability of the "thought" actually becoming a real event is quite high. And if a person has some "unwanted thought" is probably because there is something at risk in the situation, it may not be exactly the thought, but the thought being a representation. Like if you're in a situation with many kids or old people, you may have violent thoughts out of nowhere, like punching an old lady in the face or kicking a baby through the window, then you're gonna think to yourself "oh my God I am sick I need help, how do I prevent these crazy thoughts". But most likely these are something like "escape thoughts", due to the fact that you actually feel oppressed, powerless, weak and restrained in life, and then your most basic self (unconscious, instinctive) is trying to compensate for that. So whenever it sees a propensity to "feel superior", to "feel safe" (because being more powerful than others is safety) it may humour itself. It's somewhat the same defensive system that makes nerdy weak scrawny geeks who hate physical activities, actually like violent videogames. No one likes to be inferior, weak, ugly, but there's usually not much you can do about it generally (too much work for too little result in most cases), so you take a dose of whatever virtual "drug" to feed your natural desire of power (and that's also what real drugs do, they make you feel good, as if you were rich strong and beautiful).

    Im not what this phenomenon is called in English? Thoughts about unwillingly hurting other people, or unwillingly making a fool of your self etc.The thing is that everybodys got them, my grandma surprised me totally one day when she told me that she used to get these thoughts when she was young. I can let similar thoughts just pass now a days since I know they are so common.

    Instant gratitude. Less than half a second. The trick is to let it go. When I forced the thought, my mind felt like it was back in school, that was all I needed. 1+1 is 7 Billion Humans, its weird we are not all retards, right? What was I talking about, JK?! Being conscious of the behavior helps to cognitively break down the rumination cycle.

    XXX Thought is Precious XXX
    Thinking in it’s most part is Behavioral Activity. Behavioral Activity can be programmed. Using language as a mind software we permanently are repeating our desired goals through spoken words, just like a mantra. This way we are establishing a specific pattern of information and literally downloading as well as programming the subconscious mind, which in response will trigger the programmed action. Our subconscious mind works like a computer. It turns commands..
