    Great content! Just binged your PNT series. Love how you always have a smile on your face, even when everything else seemed to suck in the moment :)

    Sometimes it happens to us, we dream of going to a place, and when we are there we dream of going to another place that is warmer, more comfortable, more human

    Hi Dyana. Great video, sorry you got trench foot. If you were to do the PNT again or hike other parts of WA, what would you do different to prevent it from happening? I spent half my childhood in Puget sound in Whidbey so I know exactly what that weather was like. That must have been a huge challenge.

      Hey James! The main reason I got trench foot was my feet were in wet socks and suffocating. This went on for days. If I could go back and go it differently I would try to keep my feet more fry. My sneakers had holes in them allowing water to soak in and soak my socks. I would get water resistant shoes and cary an extra pair of socks. Also I LOVE Chacos.. the sandal company. I would hike half the time in open toe shoes to allow your feet to breath.

    Pick up your toes and put them in your backpack 🎒 😂 that was golden. Hey what are you using to film your through hike ? And what cámara would you recommend for backpacking?

      Hi Hiking Foos! For my PNT videos I used my iPhone and the OSMO Action Camera from DJI. Then my commentary in my studio I used my Canon 5D Mark 4. For backpacking it really depends....When I want to shoot something super profesh Ill bring my Canon 5D with a 50mm and 16-35mm lens. It weighs about 5 pounds. Thats super heavy. But I would look into one of Canons smaller cameras if you want light weight. Im a Canon Girl.

    Loving the videos, very inspirational for a beginner solo female hiker! What app are you using on your phone to track the hike?

    what advice would you give to someone thinking about doing the PNT?

    • @dyanacarmella1379
      @dyanacarmella1379  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are soo many pieces of advice I could give but the main one is something very basic and that's... let go. Starting with your first day on trail, you need to let go of trying to plan things. Let go of trying to keep a schedule. Let go of your perception of what you think this hike is like. Let go of fear. Let go of overthinking. Just show up with the proper gear and start walking. As you go your adventure will unfold in ways you never expected. (=
