Omg...I have watched a lot of videos of all sorts regarding thru-hikes of various kinds...CDT/PCD/AT/AZT and PNT I have to say yours was one of the best...your narrative was refreshing and genuine. Your sense of humor was amazing. I felt very fortunate to have come across your channel and to experience your journey...thank you. Your letter was beautiful :)
I truly loved watching your thru hike of the PNT and I binged watched and couldn't stop. I love your style, your attitude, humor and ability to make me want to do this hike even in your worst moments and conditions. You keep it real and raw but are also very positive and encouraging and sending the message that facing our fears is how we grow. Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. Also love the letter ❤
And I just finished your book, then watched all your videos of the PNT. So great to see the faces of the people you met along the way and attach a story to them. I have now bought your book for my sister and another for my friend’s birthday. Thank you for sharing your adventure. ❤
I've just sat and watched all the videos of your journey on the PNT with a massive smile on my face enjoying your story. However, this last one left me with tears in my eyes. Beautiful. You really are a truly inspirational young lady. Thank you so much for sharing your adventure with us, and best wishes for the future. God bless.
Awww, thank you! Yes that last one is a massive tear jerker. I remember just balling my eyes out when I wrote it. But if felt good to get feelings out. I think it shows how much impact a trail can have on someone.
This is so freaking honest and real. It is truly the double-edged sword of pain and pleasure, beauty and danger, I want to be done and I can't get enough. How can anyone click thumbs down to these videos and this story? What a wonderful adventure and I appreciate the honesty, Miss Dyana! Continued blessings and always be great! Amazing journey!
This is easily the best documentary of the PNT thru hike I've had the pleasure of viewing. I have a place a little southwest of Polebridge, a remote place, I had idea until I discovered TH-cam that the trail I was seeing hikers on went all the way to the Washington coast, amazing.
Glad you made it Dyana! Proud to say that my two sisters and I met you and Jordan up at Lake Bowman and all five of us are in the picture outside the Northern Lights Saloon in Polebridge! Keep up the journey and I look forward to seeing your adventures. To you and Jordan, you go ladies!!
OMG YES!!!!!!!! It was awesome meeting you guys!!! (= You got to hang with me on the first leg of the adventure. What a journey that was. Hope you guys are doing well!
I discovered your channel through The Whimsical Woman and I just love your perspective! I had insomnia tonight and binge watched all of your PNT series. Super quality production! You are a very talented comedian/artist and you made me laugh, cry and feel inspired to explore those areas on my own. Thank you for sharing this stunning piece of your life with us. Much gratitude! P.S. This needs to go viral ALREADY.
Loved it. Was suppose to thru hike the PNT this year but will have to wait another year due to the pandemic. Glad you have given me more footage I can dream over while I wait another year. Thanks!
I found you through Starburt's TRT videos. You were such a character in those. Watching this PNT series, I admire your courage to go it alone in tough terrain and your fabulous storytelling and editing. Your commentary done back home makes me think you could be a stand-up comedian if you wanted to go that route-hilarious! And this final letter shows your more sober, heartfelt side. It's beautiful and got me a bit choked up. Wonderful stuff all around!
Glad to have met you near the end of your journey (Sequim). I watched the videos and they were inspiring. I shared your letter to the trail with Davis (my son). Maybe it will inspire him one day. Hope all is going well for you.
This made me wanna take off the summer and complete the whole thing. My friend and I where planning on just doing Montana this year and picking up next year where we ended. However I think im rethinking the whole summer. Thank You
Just watched your PNT series. Well done for everything, and thanks for the vids, you deserve sooooo many more subscribers and likes. I'm sure they'll come.
So beautifully written ✨ Only people who have completed such a challenge will truly know the accomplishment and sadness with closing a trail’s chapter 💜
I had already made up my mind that this is going to be my first thru hike as well as my warm up for the PCT. I've been doing so much research and realizing just how scared I've been. But after watching your series and finally your farewell letter to the trail, I don't think I'm afraid anymore. Thank you...Let's fucking dance.
AWWWWWW! I love this! Once you get going you realize it's not too scary and when it's time to exit the trail at the ocean, your heart breaks when you have to say bye. But it's the greatest thing you'll ever do.
Thanks for the great PNT series. Loved watching all the episodes. Beautiful video and great narrative. Looking forward to more content. Weren’t ticks the most dangerous creatures you encountered on all those overgrown trails?
Thank you! I worked 8 years as a journalist in the entertainment industry.. so I probably picked up a lot from interviewing people. I shot everything with my phone. I was sad I didn't have my better camera but didnt want to carry the weight.
@@dyanacarmella1379 hi Dyana, thanks for your thoughts. What I am imagining is information that discusses how to make a good videos- an almost formulaic means with music, interviews, narrative, scene, story line, etc. If you haven't come across that, perhaps you should develop one, I for one would be happy to pay for such info. The shortness itself is a brilliant idea, and packs much more than 3 minutes of story into it!
@@adventuremuffinproductions Having a story arc I think is very important. Even for TH-cam Videos. There should be a beginning, middle and end. To take people on a ride when they watch it. But another HUGE aspect is music and cutting the video to the music. If you can master this your videos are taken up a whole new level. I would have loved for this to be longer than 3 minutes, but my intention was something short, that takes you on a journey... that you will watch the whole way through and maybe even a second time. (=
@@dyanacarmella1379 Good things to remember. But how? Care to share some of the technical geekie aspects, like the software used to edit video, how to develop or think about the story arc, the technique you use to time pictures with music???
You don't have to watch. I have to say "let's fucking dance" is quite appropriate and in the context of her hike and this video, I say fuckin sexy as hell. This letter to the trail video is emotional and emotions bring out words such as fuck.
That ending gave me chills! The bitter sweet of saying goodbye to an old lover. Just brilliant!
Oh man that's exactly how it felt! (=

Amazing and inspirational journey! What a triumph and accomplishment. Way to go Dyana and never give up. Love this.

Outstanding... what’s next? Buy a Harley and be the first woman to ride all lower 48 states AND Canada’s equivalent.... solo?
Wow lady try to keep it nice and family oriented. Too much bad language, no need use such words that is if you want more viewers and subscribers!.
