    You did a great job. Being a soaper myself I find it a bit disrespectful to read comments asking what's the best choice of oils or temp. you gave the recipe read it. No one understands the time it takes, it took me two years of real research, trial and error to try and master my craft I'm still learning. What they don't seem to realize is that this is what we do for a living and there are no not cookie cutter recipes or short cuts, but for those who wanna make a quick buck will eventually get bored and quit because it's not their passion I've seen it. Keep making the best soap ever...SMH

      I'm just a country mom who looked up soap making videos to learn how to make soap for my family. I have no desire to make it to sell but on the other side no way am I paying super high prices for soap I could make myself. If this person didn't want to teach people to make it why did she put the video up. I'm super confused by your comment.

    I don’t know if this is ok but I started like 2 weeks ago doing liquid soap from hard CP soap scratch I never use. I put all the cuttings I won’t use in water and let them dissolve. It turns just like liquid soap consistency. Great lather, great smell and my family loves it just like my artisan soaps.

    HI Love your videos ;) I have to say that when I come across someone using glass (pyrex or otherwise) for they lye solutions I have to speak up real quick!!! I was also using glass (pyrex) and it was cleaned and sitting on the shelf. I heard a noise from my soaping room and when i went in, the glass had exploded! It was just sitting there! omg i got so nervous and thought that would have been so dangerous if it had exploded while I was using it. I had one more pyrex i was using for lye and i just threw it away! I just want you to be safe so i felt i had to speak up! Be careful :):):)

    Thank you for the great video!
    I have a couple of questions for you:
    Why do you not cook your soap further into the paste phase? Is it not necessary to do so, say, if you would be diluting the soap immediately following cook?
    Also, the clarity of your video... Looks great!
    What camera do you use for filming?
    Thank you again! Great job!

    Dear, I made a hot process coconut liquid soap. I did the zap test and i can feel the zap. (pH paper is showing readings in the range of 10-11). Does it mean that the soap i prepared is not ready to use. Can this infer that there is un-reacted Potassium hydroxide. If yes, and if i am using citric acid to neutralize the un-reacted potassium hydroxide, what % of citric acid solution should be used? I understand that if we try to lower it down to 7 , the soap starts reacting with the acid itself and becomes a scum, but what should i do to neutralize the excess lye in the batch?

    • @lorip6846
      @lorip6846 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      your soap is deff not ready to use. do some research on adding citric acid to neutralize soap; you use very little and tends to make it cloudy

    So I just used a homemade liquid body wash and its leaving me with a tacky feel to my skin, I ordered the paste from etsy and love it as a hand soap, but my question is, will all homemade body washes leave me with this feel?

    • @grenmoyo3968
      @grenmoyo3968 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tacky right out of the shower or for the entire day?
      I feel that's normal and has to do with you possibly being used to conventional stuff which isnt really soap but a detergent.
      The tacky feeling might have to do with your level of glycerin in the soap.

    I've been experimenting with bar soaps for a couple of years now and would like to try making liquid soap. Would it work if I used my same bar soap recipe for the liquid soap and just change to koh, (while of course changing measurements and whatnot on the soap Calc)??

    • @wisedove7
      @wisedove7 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Go to soapcalc and put your normal cp recipe in...but in the upper left hand corner, switch to KOH and it will calculate your recipe for hot processed soap using the right ratios for potassium hydroxide.
