If anyone agrees second the motion. Good video, I didn't realize the Fels Naptha had toxins. Thanks 👍
Fantastic. Thanks. Here's my summary- 4 cups water 1.5 bars castile soap Boil water and dissolve grated soap into it on a pot on the stove 20 litres water 1 cup borax 1 cup washing soda Half fill 20l bucket with hot water. Add borax, washing soda, and soap water and mix. Fill bucket with hot water and seal with lid. Leave overnight. Stir before using. 1/2 cup per washing load.
1 cup = 250 ml, right? It looks so for the borax and washing soda. But for the detergent she puts to the laundry machine, the cup looks less than 250 ml. Can you please clarify this point? Thanks!

@@Fish-cj4ub Some claim it softens fabrics but never test it by soaking the same fabric in it beside plain water. It starts at about 2.5% acetic acid because they dilute it with water, and is diluted much more by rinse water. It’s hard to believe mature adults think this way.
OK. So we're now on our 2nd batch of your amazing laundry wash liquid and to be honest the wife and I are amazed at how clean and fresh our clothes and towels feels. Not to mention how fresh our washing machine now smells. Thanks a million
Be aware that lavender is an endochrine disruptor if used often or in moderately high doses. Soy is a common one that's more intense. But just to be wary. You can see if what you use has that issue, and if you are using phatalates and it helps too. Personally Borax was too toxic to keep in my home, I did use it for pest control for a while but now I use peppermint to ward off pests mostly. And Diatomaceous Earth. But for laundry vinegar can be all you need...even for really smelly stuff. Personally I do use essential oils like rose and chamomile, or orange for our laundry. Sometimes even peppermint and other oils that are used to ward off mosquitoes and such into clothing we wear hiking. 😊
@@ari3lz3ppThey did a retest on the lavender in glass as opposed to the plastic container they used in the test resulting in endocrine changes in the subjects. It was discovered that it was, in fact the microplastics causing the changes, not the lavender. Also, borax is not toxic. The reason it works as pest control is it is abrasive, like shards of glass to insects. A small amount will cut them and cause injuries, and it will stick to them, and proceed to leave a trail wherever they go, including their nests, thus eradicating the entire infestation without toxic chemicals. Borax is safe for children and pets.
Thanks for sharing! FYI. You can make your own washing soda. Spread baking soda on a shallow sided cooking sheet. Place in a 200° oven, stirring occasionally. When it turns gray, it will have converted to washing soda. I like to buy baking soda in bulk, at Costco to save even more money. I hope this helps.

I have a hilarious story about line drying our clothes in the mid 60s… My mom was in nursing school and lived 150 miles away and my siblings lived in a foster care, people from our church… my dad was a scoundrel and he theived and gambled so we were incredibly poor and my mom came home on weekends to spend time with us and my sisters. I was 14 and left to fend for myself during the week.. no phone no tv no radio so life was very hard for me. But I did everything I could to help my mom with housework and laundry.. but the washer wasn’t working properly and the clothes didn’t get the water out and we had to rinse and hand wring out as much water out as I could.
I love seeing young people learn to make things instead of depending on stores; especially nowadays. As a child we made lye soap and it was used for everything from laundry, dishes and baths. When I started making my own laundry detergent, I used the standard recipe; fels naphtha, washing soda and borax. Then I learned borax was degrading my elastic and started keeping that out and only adding it to heavy soiled loads. Then I went to Ivory soap instead of fels naphtha. Then I started using my homemade soap scraps instead of buying Ivory. Life is a live and learn process.
Do you have a tried and tested recipe please for your soap (the stuff you use for laundry?) I live in the UK and I don’t think we have Castile soap but I have made my own soap out of lye and olive oil (and other stuff I don’t remember) before, but not confident on whether it’s ok for the washing machine.
@@fireflysparks1105 Grate finely a bar of soap like Ivory or castile in a large pan. Add 12 cups water and let it cook on medium-low heat, stirring often until the soap dissolves. Add 1 cup washing soda and stir until it dissolves. Remove the pan from the heat and add 26 cups more water. Stir. At this point I pour It into a big bucket with a lid. I Stir it ever hour or so until it cools. It has a slippery feel to the hand and doesn't suds much, but modern machines don't like suds anyway. Stir before dipping 1/2 cup per load. I keep borax powder in a separate container for difficult loads, because over time it deteriorates elastic, but so does bleach.
@@lindachandler2293 Reading your recipe......I think it has finally sunk in what I'm paying for in the stores. I knew laundry detergent was mostly water but these recipes really underscored that. Time to start making my own detergent.
I've been making my homemade liquid laundry soap using the same recipe for over 20 years now. While I love the lemon balm, I have a huge surplus of chocolate mint growing this year....so my next few batches will be AMAZING! Prior to leaving my farm, I found that this recipe would not only remove grease, blood and manure, but it was SO GOOD at cleaning our clothing and barn towels of animal amniotic fluid, which any farm wife will tell you is darn near impossible.

I made 5 gallons for the coming year yesterday (7/1/2024). Thanks for making this post for a really easy laundry soap that worked really well for us!
Lol. You’re washing a load of laundry with soap that weighs 1/2 as much as a paper clip! Might as well switch to plain water. Results will be comparable!
I use white vinager as a fabric softener. My towels are so much softer and fluffier. I never get uti's anymore, and I feel healthier overall as it rinses any soaps and chemicals out of the laundry. Takes all odors away! It is also less expensive. I'll never go back:) Thanks for the great video! Always fun to trade healthier, less expensive tips😊
I want to try using vinegar as a softener now! Is your washer a front- or top-loader? Mine is front, and I'm wondering if I can just put vinegar in the little softener compartment before each wash.
Just thought of a funny from LAST MAN STANDING with Tim Allen. Ryan makes his own detergent .Vinessa told her youngest daughter his fabric softener was great salad dressing
My wife and I did a challenge together to see how little money we could live on over one full year. @@afriend621 Yes. It cleans as good as good store bought laundry soap. It may take a double dose for really soiled clothes just like the store bought stuff, but when it comes to hand wash items I still prefer Woolite.
Thank you for using cloth diapers and breast feeding your baby. None of the young mothers I know do that anymore. For them, cloth diapers are to much trouble. However, it saves over $2,500.00-3,000.00 per child not to mention quickly filling the landfills. It takes over 50+ years for disposable diapers to break down (if ever). I also made my own detergent for several years because I lived in the country, besides the $12.00-$15.00 for a large bottle of detergent, you also have to add the cost of gas to go get it. One box of Borax and one box of washing soda isn't over $8.00 the bar soap is about $2.00. I believe it lasted me over four years. A five gallon bucket takes forever to use up. I wish more young people cared about the planet we leave to future generations. I'm sure you already know the advantages for children who are breast fed. You are doing everything right!
@@shieldmaidenforchrist1310 You don’t need two water softeners to make these DIY laundry concoctions. Washing soda is 10x more soluble, so just use it.
Same here - I used cloth diapers for 4 of my 5 babies. Not only did it save thousands of dollars per child, but I believe they potty trained much earlier than they would have otherwise (about 15-18 months).
I made my first batch 5 months ago, and am stating my second today. THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! It’s been such a great detergent for my family, and I’ve had zero issues with stains, dirty clothes not getting clean, smells…this has been such a great change for my family!
You are amazing. Suggesting lots of healthy stuff. :-) You are very practical and cautious in many ways. There is only one thing that I would suggest. In my country, I am from the Czech Republic, we would never use a plastic spoon for stirring whatever that is boiling. Plastic spoons are highly toxic and release toxic stuff into whatever use stir. We use only wooden spoons. Same accounts for using plastic forms for baking. We would just never use it. Whatever consists aluminium is also not healthy for your body. So we cook and bake with wooden or iron material. :-) I noticed a lot of Americans don't care, which I just cannot understand.
Too many Americans fall for the idea that if it's labeled for a certain use, then it must be safe for that use. In the "Age of Information" we tend not to spend much time learning anymore because we feel like the information will just always be there when we want it. Unfortunately, we don't learn things we really need like the toxicity of cooking with plastic and aluminum and that processed food usually has the nutrients processed out in order to make it cheaper and tastier.
I noticed after drinking out of my son’s plastic bottles and sippy cups the water tasted like plastic! So horrible. Those chemicals are leaching in very little time even without being heated. Truly scary. I switched to silicon, glass and metal.

The key with lemon balm is not to touch the leaves. Same with mint, take it gently by the stalk with scissors mid way between leaves, the hormones in the plant will concentrate at each leaf stalk joint with main stem & throw new shoots. Very easy, but remember, DONT touch the leaf, the oils / terpenes are mainly surface mounted.

Farm life has to go on regardless and nevertheless. My grandma was born in 1918. My grandma used to make homemade soap. Nothing like a little bit of wood ash soaked and made into soap using Tallow from the animals that you butchered. Her white clothes were always the whitest to the day she did not do her laundry. Even in her late eighties that woman never sat down hardly ever unless it was to sew or did you hand work that was necessary to keep a family and a home running. They did not shove their children at babysitters they did not use the schools to babysit. They can their food they made their food from scratch as there was not boxes of food and deli items for you to go and collect. You canned your food as you lived a day trip at least if not further from town. The luxuries that you have today that you take for granted we're not there many years ago. Yes she is amazing woman but that is family life when you live on a farm. Here's your reality they get paid very little for what they grow its the middle man that makes all the money and they work very hard to help put food and products on the table for the rest of America you need to profoundly thank these hard-working families. I could go on forever as I was very close to my grandma. I learned how to pinch a Penny I to a dollar. I'm so grateful for those life lessons.

A helpful note: Borax was banned in the UK and most of Europe in 2010 as it is an endocrine disrupter. However, there is an item called Borax substitute available in many supermarkets which I still need to do more research on. This video has inspired me to look into more homemade options. Thank you. Ps. For those in the UK washing soda = soda crystals. Used to be 50p per bag now £2.
I know it's a mineral but banned in the UK? I know they have the borax protocol here that is pretty popular and people are drinking it. According to testimonies people are seeing huge improvements in their lifestyles.
My thought was also that borax is toxic, but I didn't know it can damage fertility. Also lavender and some essential oils also are endocrine disruptors, which are for some unknown reason not banned / restricted yet in the EU.
I appreciate that you raised this issue. I did some cursory research and found that Borax safe for use as a cleaning agent. I am a lay person in this matter. The studies involved feeding Borax to rats and found that it was harmful. If you are washing laundry and letting the laundry dry before wearing it (and potentially washing your hands after you touch the wet laundry just to be safe) it doesn't seem that it is dangerous. There is no way to ingest the Borax for laundry purposes. Again, do your own research and be safe!
It's interesting that being borax is supposedly a mineral salt, that's coming from the earth is toxic. But, the same ones that are giving out _ _ _ _ are the same ones saying that borax is toxic. I have not much information regarding the govt in EU because I am here. But talking about my govt and them wanting the best for its people....I'll pass. But how about your govt in EU, they are doing what's best for it's people? It matters, it all matters. I'm here because you can't trust anything they put out. To find a all natural product and then to say " its considered toxic" is kinda hypocritical to go to the toxic research data. Am I the only one who this does not make sense too?
Thanks a million. I’m an older person and it just warms my heart to see such a beautiful young lady taking so much interest in homemaking and being a great Mom. It should be noted that potato can neutralize unpleasant odors if you need an extra boost of odor protection) - Lemon (gives a pleasant fragrance and neutralizes odor) - Essential oils (in case you want a specific fragrance in your deodorant) Hope you find this helpful, I can make a video if I came back to read the comments and I see many of you need to see the process.
@@djgames2571 I am glad I could help you, all our external body "problems" happen because 2 things, excluding genetics: - what we eat - what we put on our skin I stop trusting companies products years ago. If you wanna try a toothpaste recipe and I promise it will work well in time, I did it for almost 2 years and I am totally fine with my teeth: Toothpaste recipe: - extra virgin coconut oil (1/3 of a spoon) - crystalized honey ( 1/7 of a spoon, for example I use just a bit on the top of the spoon, if you buy it from local producers it is even better) Important note !! - Do not swallow after you brush, the bacteria can be found in the mix. In case you do swallow you will have a soft to medium pain in the stomach. Nothing happen if you swallow after the mix from brush is spit out - You dont need to use water after - Just spit it in the toilet ( the washbasin pipe can accumulate coconut oil and get stuck - baking soda it can make your teeth whiter but it can damage your teeth in time so I don't recomandat it but you can try once in a while if you like, I don't. Keep in mind that the mint which os added in rhe main composition will also give a not so pleasent smell in time just for the recipient where you keep rhe deodorant, but it will be just fine for use. You are a bundle of energy! I will try this one day, but for now, I have three packages of the dried laundry sheets that come in paper boxes. I have subscribed to your channel. I read that babies who are carried against their parents' bodies don't cry as much as other babies. Thank you.
Just made this laundry soap but used pink zote soap since already had it. As I was melting my soap shavings in the water, I noticed it was going to take awhile and I wanted to get it done, so I used my immersion blender and oh my, how quickly it mixed up. So I got it made more quickly by doing that one trick. But do let it melt and get soft before using the immersion blender.
Yes, I grated some white Zote soap yesterday into very hot water and let it set overnight. It is mixed very well this morning! I can't wait to try it. The price of laundry detergent has gone up so much in the past year!
Thanks for showing this recipe! I've started to watch other videos, over the years, about DIY laundry detergent, but it just wasn't appealing to me, even. This is very appealing and do-able, I really want to do this. I wish that I had done this many years & many chemicals ago. I am suddenly on my own now, so this will really help me to cut corners, financially. Thanks! btw~ You are the most beautiful farm wife I've ever seen. 🌺
I said that out loud when the video first started. My first time here. I said she's so pretty, yes beautiful. I'm sure her husband agrees. He's a lucky man to have her, and she's doing healthier options for her family and saving money too. A WIN, WIN, WIN. GOD BLESS YOU GIRL! Keep up the natural lifestyle. I love it!! Oh, I love hanging all my sheets and blankets on the line, I can't see running the dryer for things that dries so fast in the warm Florida sunshine, and they smell so good too. Saves a lot of electricity too. God Bless! 🙏🙏🙏
I REALLY needed to hear this… the timing in which I came across this was perfect. thank you so much for taking the time to put this up and thank you for being bold in your love for and awe of the Lord ❤❤
Washing soda is also a sanitizer used at a couple of heaped dessert spoonfuls per load. So for diapers just add extra per load to soften hard water, prevent limescale deposits plus clean & sanitize your laundry and machine.
I am a mom of 3 and make my own laundry soap since moving to the country. I grow my own mint, lavender, and lemongrass. Love knowing whats going into it and it truly does lasts forever. I have to try your liquid laundry soap!!!
Wow. I use the same 3 ingredients but 2 cups of each to make 2 gallons. It says to use 1/4 a cup but I’ve always been paranoid that the clothes wouldn’t be clean so I use about a cup. But it still is way cheaper than store bought. I’ve always thought about adding more water to thin it out since this makes a thicker gel like consistency. I’m gonna try that. I love the Lemon Balm idea. Ironically I just bought one a few weeks ago & it is growing wonderfully. Yay.
Awesome! I typically do a powder laundry soap with the same concept- my top loader does fine with it- but I’m sure if you have a front loader or HE machine- liquid is ideal. I use my food processor to grade the soap (washing it really well) and just add borax and washing soda. The lemon balm sounds like a lovely addition.
Yeah I'm debating if I wanna do powder or this, I do like liquid soap so much better. I'm just not sure where I'd store all the liquid lol. What's your recipe for the powder?
@@pinschrunner I make power, I also make my own soap with coconut oil, but you don't have to. So I do 2 parts soda ash or washing soda 2 parts backing soda 2 parts salt ( any salt) 1 part borax 1 part soap Mix add essential oils if you want... That's it
I make mine using Zote, which smells great. I also put 2 cups of each versus 1 because of the amount of water used. This is the way ive been making mine for about 12 years now. I love it and it dies do a good job of getting clothes clean. I also make a powdered version using a whole box of each and 3 bars of Zote which are pretty big. It take less than 1/4 cup per large load of the powdered version.
@heathermelton5688 Since Zote bars are so big, I only use one bar per 5 gallon mix. But I also use a whole box of Borax & a whole box of the Super Washing Soda. Putting less just means it's really watered down. I have an older extra large capacity washer and use 1/4 cup for a full load of laundry. I also use fill my softener slot with vinegar instead of using fabric softener. It doesn't smell once you're done and it gets rid of the musty smell towels can get.
@arkansas_native86 I grate the bar, put about 2 cups of water in my pot, get it hot, but not boiling & then pour in my grated Zote. You can to stir it a lot to help it dissolve as well.
@WomanUnfiltered I used the zote bar and the same soap on this video, and the soap always separates from the water in its container over time. Then I'll shake it and try to boil it but it doesn't mix anymore. I also grated it finely with a cheese grater before making as well. I find they both also leave a white residue on clothes that hard to get off even though I use smaller portions of the soap. Don't know what I'm doing wrong.
This is a very good, yet simple idea. Everyone should be able to make their own detergent. I,m going to try the infusion :D Thanks!! ps, wild chesnuts are good soaps too. Take a handful, crush them and pour hot water over it. Let it sit until you see a foamy top... Then you can scoop your soap and use it. I believe you can reuse those nuts for about 3 times before they run out of soap. They make white laundry really white :D Enjoy!!
Awesome video. The problem is adding hot water to plastic is now very known to cause trillions of microplastics in the water. All contact with plastic but especially heated plastic is extreme. I’d love to see a enamel bucket, glass or stainless steel container. 🫙❤
Happy mother's day on Fathers day. I salute you. Congratulation for a soap making day, caring for the baby, taking care of the chicken and all. God bless you and may you have more energy for as long as you live. Thanks.
Made the soap much smaller batch to test first time. Immersion blender game changer in keeping soap uniform ❤ love the channel thank you for sharing and congratulations on your 5th pregnancy
You can make washing soda by baking baking soda! I use 'soap works' glycerin soap which does gel so I use way less water and only put 2tbsp detergent in the machine. I usually put a few drops of tea tree oil but I'm going to try your great tip to use fresh herbs! Thanks!!
I love that you use cloth diapers - I did, too! My daughter is 25yrs old, she never had diaper rash & was otty trained by 24 months! My mother got me a brand called "Kushies" & a a "soaking receptical" with a lid. I also hung them out on a clothes line to keep them white!
Glad you posted this. I've been making my own for over a decade. But instead of a bar of laundry soap, I put in dr bronners liquid Castille soap. It mixed better.. it's so easy to make your own. Cheaper and less chemicals 😊
Thank you for your reply but I think I figured it out. My Castile bar weighs 4 ounces so google says 4 ounces is 8 tablespoons which would be for the full 5 gallon recipe.
I made my laundry soap when I homesteaded and loved it! I love lemon balm and I use it for tea. I’m going to start making my detergent again, but with your twist. Thanks! ❤️
This is great! Thank you for sharing. I started making my own toothpaste and love the idea of knowing what’s in all my household products. What a concept to not want potentially dangerous products in our homes. 🏡 🙏🏽☺️

Here's my summary-
4 cups water
1.5 bars castile soap
Boil water and dissolve grated soap into it on a pot on the stove
20 litres water
1 cup borax
1 cup washing soda
Half fill 20l bucket with hot water.
Add borax, washing soda, and soap water and mix.
Fill bucket with hot water and seal with lid.
Leave overnight.
Stir before using.
1/2 cup per washing load.
Thank you, I was looking for this exact information! Going to the store tomorrow & pick up the supplies.
Thanx!!!!

1 cup = 250 ml, right? It looks so for the borax and washing soda. But for the detergent she puts to the laundry machine, the cup looks less than 250 ml. Can you please clarify this point? Thanks!
@@turankonu Looking at the transcribed recipe it says !/2 cup (125ml) per washing load. That seems to concur with your observation.
White vinegar makes an excellent rinse as it removes soap residue and sanitizes the laundry.
Wishful thinking that highly diluted vinegar does anything.
its not really good at sterilizing from what ive seen
@@Fish-cj4ub
Right. Wishful thinking ≠ science.
@@FrankGutowski-ls8jt too be fair i reread the comment and she says as a rinse. So along with something it might be a helpful additive but I dont think it can sterilize on its own. But I am not a chemist at the end of the day and who says you need to sterilize everything anyways
@@Fish-cj4ub
Some claim it softens fabrics but never test it by soaking the same fabric in it beside plain water. It starts at about 2.5% acetic acid because they dilute it with water, and is diluted much more by rinse water. It’s hard to believe mature adults think this way.
I love our generation's flex is moving back to diy and self-reliance.
OK. So we're now on our 2nd batch of your amazing laundry wash liquid and to be honest the wife and I are amazed at how clean and fresh our clothes and towels feels. Not to mention how fresh our washing machine now smells. Thanks a million
So glad you’re loving it! It’s all we use!
@@HopewellHeights Do you have any problems with it clumping like gel clumps?

FYI. You can make your own washing soda. Spread baking soda on a shallow sided cooking sheet. Place in a 200° oven, stirring occasionally.
When it turns gray, it will have converted to washing soda.
I like to buy baking soda in bulk, at Costco to save even more money.

Line drying is good for NOT setting stains in clothes and it also helps ALL your clothes last longer!
Good to know!
Good info.Thanks
gave up dryers years ago, only line drying, inside or for sure outside, clothes smells sooooo good after!!
Exactly
I have a hilarious story about line drying our clothes in the mid 60s…
My mom was in nursing school and lived 150 miles away and my siblings lived in a foster care, people from our church… my dad was a scoundrel and he theived and gambled so we were incredibly poor and my mom came home on weekends to spend time with us and my sisters.
Me too!
@@fireflysparks1105 True castile soap is made with olive oil. Nowdays, some companies make it with coconut or palm oil.

AThe vinegar also helps keep the washer clean! Win win😊
Never let vinegar sit in a washing machine or come in contact with rubber washers or seals like in your garbage disposal. They destroy them

Apparently you don’t understand the concept of dilution.
Lots of young mothers are breastfeeding. They understand that it's healthier.
Plenty of women still breastfeed, what are you talking about?

You don’t need two water softeners to make these DIY laundry concoctions.

Ooooooh! Next-level thinking! Hopefully it won’t get clogged, but, if the soap is fully dissolved, it would be an excellent upgrade ❤
They are not train to care ....to much freedom
We care
God created small family farms for the Good of All people. We need to support and revive the small family farm concept in the USA. Thank you for all you do. This was a very helpful and easy to follow video tutorial.

I like to crush the leaves in the jar to release more of the plant oils =) more scent!
That's a great idea! 💡
But crushing the oils and adding hot water releases the essential oil. So you may as well just use essential oil 😐

@@InterwebUser-ps7ju I have a top loader with an agitator (out of preference) and it's just fine! I have been using this detergent for almost a year now. I use white vinegar in the "fabric softener" dispenser when I wash towels and that helps to clean and remove any build up in the washer too.

A beautiful expression of your respect for your grandmother. Thanks for sharing this.
I have the utmost respect for you. Hard working, family centered. God bless you.😅.

@@debbyborgerding9704 it is 3 tablespoons Washing Soda, 3 Tablespoons Borax, then use soap dish soap like Dawn (2 tablespoons) but I use 2 tablespoons of Castile peppermint soap. How lovely to see this! I use Kirk’s for handmade laundry soap, as well; however, since I do laundry by hand, I just grate Kirk’s Castile soap directly to hot water in the wash tub along with the washing soda, and a wee bit of vinegar when it’s the dog diapers (I run a senior/hospice dog sanctuary).

What can i use instead?
I’m an older person and it just warms my heart to see such a beautiful young lady taking so much interest in homemaking and being a great Mom.

i had the same idea. but Lisa Bronner says to use 1/3 cup of liquid castile soap per load. which would be a lot more expensive than nearly any other product/method. she says she uses 2 TBS of her Sal Suds instead of the castile soap because it’s better at cleaning. so that is likely the better, more affordable, route to take. she adds 1/2 cup baking soda to the 2 TBS Sal Suds for extra cleaning power when needed (like musty towels).

Hey guys, I wanna help people with skin problem because of the chemical deodorant from the market and those who are in war with bad smell from under pits.
Deodorant recipe:
In general, I only use baking soda with extra virgin coconut oil. For quantity, I use 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and one and a half tablespoons of baking soda.
Recipe for those who want more protection against odor:
- Fresh mint leaves (optional for fragrance)
- Extra virgin coconut oil (doesn't stain clothes, at least I haven't had this problem so far)
- Baking soda
Other optional ingredients:
- Raw potato paste (Very Important, make it fresh on the same day; don't leave the potato mixed with everything for more than a day. It should be noted that potato can neutralize unpleasant odors if you need an extra boost of odor protection)
- Lemon (gives a pleasant fragrance and neutralizes odor)
- Essential oils (in case you want a specific fragrance in your deodorant)

- crystalized honey ( 1/7 of a spoon, for example I use just a bit on the top of the spoon, if you buy it from local producers it is even better)
Important note !!
- Do not swallow after you brush, the bacteria can be found in the mix. In case you do swallow you will have a soft to medium pain in the stomach. Nothing happen if you swallow after the mix from brush is spit out
- You dont need to use water after
- Just spit it in the toilet ( the washbasin pipe can accumulate coconut oil and get stuck
- baking soda it can make your teeth whiter but it can damage your teeth in time so I don't recomandat it but you can try once in a while if you like, I don't.
Hope this helps too.

Washing soda is also a sanitizer used at a couple of heaped dessert spoonfuls per load. So for diapers just add extra per load to soften hard water, prevent limescale deposits plus clean & sanitize your laundry and machine.

Hi, do you just use one Zote bar or do you still do a bar and a half like she does with the Castile soap?
@heathermelton5688 Since Zote bars are so big, I only use one bar per 5 gallon mix. But I also use a whole box of Borax & a whole box of the Super Washing Soda. Putting less just means it's really watered down. I have an older extra large capacity washer and use 1/4 cup for a full load of laundry. I also use fill my softener slot with vinegar instead of using fabric softener. It doesn't smell once you're done and it gets rid of the musty smell towels can get.
Ok I used zout also, why was it taking me so long to melt it and why is there still a little gel?
Thankyou😊
I never imagined that it’s going to be that easy to make homemade laundry liquid soap
Thank you so much and God bless you super lady 👍😘
Wow, never thought about making my own laundry detergent. Thanks, I'll give this a try.
You can make washing soda by baking baking soda! I use 'soap works' glycerin soap which does gel so I use way less water and only put 2tbsp detergent in the machine. I usually put a few drops of tea tree oil but I'm going to try your great tip to use fresh herbs! Thanks!!
This sounds interesting. Can you share your recipe for soap making?
I love that you use cloth diapers - I did, too! My daughter is 25yrs old, she never had diaper rash & was otty trained by 24 months! My mother got me a brand called "Kushies" & a a "soaking receptical" with a lid. I also hung them out on a clothes line to keep them white!
Glad you posted this. I've been making my own for over a decade. But instead of a bar of laundry soap, I put in dr bronners liquid Castille soap. It mixed better.. it's so easy to make your own. Cheaper and less chemicals 😊
How much liquid Castile Soap do you use instead of the bar.
How much liquid castille ?
Everything is in equal ratios. You can use 3 T, or 6T.
@@victoriaschell2225 Thank you so much! 😁
Wow, what a betiful kitchen, and the chickens!!! And eggs!!!
Thankyou so much for this recipe
You are beautiful and what a good baby 💕🍼
