An interesting observation is that once you stop having foods foods sweetened with sugar and instead have foods found in nature which are sweet like dates, figs, grapes etc. Over a period of time the added sugar substances taste too sweet and don't be surprised if you don't like their taste and feel they taste too sugary.
i think fruits are better , my personal opinion is start controlling earlier than needed , so that you dont feel the void of not having sweets from the sweets store sugar addiction is the worst to control
