Great review and what a beautiful timepiece. Love that power reserve- very well done. I will def be adding this to my collection. Longines is truly the best value for the money.
Thanks for the review. Watch looks great. One point I’m confused about - Do the numbers on the power reserve rotate? If so, what is the point of the center hand? If not, why is the center dial not aligned with the outer dial?
Interestingly, both the center hand and the power reserve numeric ring rotates. I played with it and how it works is that when watch is being wind up, the numeric ring rotates clockwise. when power is being consumed, the numeric ring stays still but the center hand rotate clockwise.
This is very close to perfect but IMO they should have made the numbers on the power reserve indicator static. It looks off when the numbers aren’t aligned with the hour markers.
Hello, and thanks for this video. I'll not buy this watch, just because I bought 1 dress watch from a microbrand few months before, but I fully agree what you said. And especially the skycrapers style hands that I didn't notice. 😅
I don't mind the price because Longines can almost always be had at a good discount from AD, especially once the hype has died down. And that's if you're looking at brand new models. But yes, the price hike of the recent models could be a indication of where they might be headed.
Good one there Abdullah. I agree that the power reserve is a yes and no thingy. There is no right or wrong answer to that. Depending on personal preference. If you have no subscribed to my buddy here make sure you do it 😁👍✌
I am not saying this is not good. But patient will get money. I saw a dress GMT (Conquest?) just issued yesterday. Movement L844. Same as my HC GMT. 18K rose gold. 1400 Pounds. Very good price. My heart beat go fast.
Why have a power reserve indicator ? Leave a watch unworn for 2 days , it will need 30 turns, but 4 days ? Anyone with a manual watch knows the feeling when you’ve wound your watch “too much” and the stem hits that dead spot, and you kick yourself for overwinding ? The power gauge prevents that.
If GS adopt this power reserve display, their watch will sell like crazy GS basically has problems in design, bracelet and thickness Only thing they did well is polishing……..
I’m very sorry but a power reserve indicator on an automatic watch is USELESS! If you wear it it will not stop. If you don’t wear it, wind it up when you need.
Agreed. But this is, like most reissues, a tribute to a historic model. This piece will definitely excite the history buffs more than those looking for practical tool watches.
Oh wow, that is really really nice. Longines continue knocking it out of the park. Agree on the AD discount point.

Just bought one a real beauty and yes up to 72 hours
Absolutely stunning piece, the design honestly can be worn for all occasions
Also Abdullah I didn't know Sincere Fine Watches are in the MY as well haha, I always thought it's a Singaporean thing from the name alone
Incredible watch. Even better review.
Thanks a lot, man! Love your channel! 🙌😄

@@firemanaontube Thanks. That is interesting.

Good review. I agree I like this watch and I am a sub man! All the best from Scotland 🏴
Amazing, just amazing
Well done, thanks 👍

Congrats on your watch, mate! And thanks for watching and your feedback 😄
I did a double take when i saw you display the price in Ringgit. Are you Malaysian? Love your vids!
With the price tag, I expected 4 hertz and 100 m water resistance. But other than that it’s a great watch.

I want the new version of the regular conquest 38mm review, hardly any reviews regarding this important release
That's definitely on the agenda. Stay tuned ☺️
Nice looking watch. But I think the original size of 35mm would be more for me.

this power reserve adds to the dial whereas Grand Seikos detract from the dial

You can’t overwind it and the dial is a fantastic idea especially if you don’t wear it constantly
I wish it was a manual not an automatic. That would really accentuate this design.
If GS adopt this power reserve display, their watch will sell like crazy

Also the dials and movements are incredible. But yes, in terms of the fit and proportions, that's where they get beat by the competition.
👍🙏😊
I think the date window without that frame would look better
Zakas qilsak bōladimi soatlardan
Can’t accept the date on 12, looks hideous in my opinion. No date would’ve been the better option.
The date location is horrible.
Definitely not something we see everyday. But that's one of the things that gives it such a memorable look imo
the original lugs were much better.
How can an Automatic watch be Perfect ! ??
Perfect imperfection 😆

How many owns a chronometer with tachometer knows how to actually use it 😂.
There are people who own several watches and not wear the same watch all the time…
LOL having an Automatic watch is useless as we can tell the time now via our phones. It's more for the design, the elegance, the history and the fun.
I dont think watches are for utility. If anyones actually looking for utility, he/she should get a smart watch
