Absolutely love this watch and went with the champagne myself as well. Love it in the rotation with my blue dial Flagship Heritage Moonphase. Longines makes excellent timepieces.
Just over a decade ago, I picked up a new Longines Conquest Heritage (35mm) for around £600. I know this latest version has an added complication but the colossal increase in price is ridiculous. I've seen these new conquests in person and I actually prefer the true to scale 35mm versions..
I have not been a big Longines fan but this watch is the one I would go for at some point. I love the central power reserve, some how it just fits. Thanks for reviewing this model Teddy!

Longines arguably make the best dress watches at their respective price points. Their Flagship Heritage line is hard to beat for the price, and their sector dial watch is one of the best of its kind - period!

Really cool dial with great art deco details. And finally, a dial side power reserve indicator done right (take note, GS). The gold toned hands versions aren’t my thing here, but that black one is quite striking. Need to see one in the metal.
Such a refined and beautiful dial. The only complaint (typical watch enthusiast amirite?) is the 19mm lug width I think this watch is a true “strap monster”. I would love the chance to dress this up (and down). Outside of that this is an amazing watch with a nice movement, sophisticated dial, and good fit and finish.
Looks like there are also lume plots outside the indices at 12:00 and 6:00, not just the ones inside the indices at 3:00 and 9:00, as mentioned in the video.
I love this watch, but for this equity range I would need a clasp-buckle not a pin buckle. I know it fits the retro aspect of the piece, but good clasps can be easily hidden and look like a pin buckle.

I understand that this is almost a one for one homage to the original. Personally, I think PR indicator best for hand wound, and would have thinned case height. Love my last gen Conquest

Longines has been killing it lately with their releases and the size of them, finally they are going smaller. But one thing I hate about them is the odd lug width 😒
Beautiful watch apart from the three different fonts used on the face. It would look a lot nicer if they just removed "Automatic" altogether. You know it's an automatic, that's why you bought it.
Its a good looking watch, but not good enough for almost 4k, for me personally. Bought in april the new Legend diver 39mm for 2500. Basically you pay 3800 for the power reserve complication. When will you do the new TAG Heuer Aquaracer 2024 review? :d
I absolutely love watches, the high end watch brands are out of my budget but the amzwatch has literally an almost duplicate of every single watch on the market . Always a great but no matter your budget.
It's sad that watches that look good cost over 1k+. amzwatch watches are REALLY well made, and it just shows how a brand name on a watch can make its price 10x higher. I understand that if you look under a microscope, you'll find the difference, but just how many of you really inspect a watch at that level when you see someone with a watch?
If you are talking about a one watch collection then that is probably true, but once you get to a few watches then even for an automatic this complication becomes useful, especially if you have it as a weekend wear.
The original watch from the 50s was also automatic. This central power reserve also exist in omega vintage bumper automatic watch eventhough it's still remains as a prototype. So making it manual wound won't be as true to its historical records as the heritage series, kinda like how now they made the 39mm Legend Diver which is not correct to the watch they referring to back in the 60s with 42mm diameter.
They made it to make things symmetrical, like their vintage counterpart that shown here, and several vintage/neo-vintage conquest watches that has 12 oclock date, or the one with calendar at 3 o'clock but putting it near to the center to not cut out the indices at 3. It's their thing lol.
I have “real” watches and a lot of them. I have a friend who buys the #MAMACOO we put them side by side and guess what ?! It’s unbelievable!!! I am at the Rolex boutique with her and no one can tell he has a fake

I really think Longines is the #1 brand right now. They have extraordinary heritage and with Swatch capital behind them, sky's the limit.

Longines, Conquest and Automatic are all in different fonts, and the "automatic" font seems questionable.
I generally like any complication on a watch. But i really dislike that location for the Date Window. Absolute turn off.
