Very nice informative and inspiring video my friend. I have every Volca except Bass & Beats. I love the way you interacted it with that reverber. Don’t think I’ll ever get rid of my Volcas because technology continues to change. Thank God for midi capability. You have earned my sub. 👊🏾👍🏾
I'm building a volca 'keystation' consisting of 2 volca keys and 2 arturia keysteps in a 2 tier 'organ' style through a mixer w/reverb in a specially designed case.
@@ramseydoon8277 because I'm going to play it live as a keyboard with my band. The idea is that I could play a chord on one keyboard and a monophonic lead on another, or a fat bass on one keyboard and an arpeggio on another. or both volcas in poly mode for pseudo 6 note polyphony. You get me. A click will also be sent to the drummer. I'm halfway through making it.
@@ramseydoon8277 well making the case isn't too hard its the tray which all the bits go on which is tough because all the measurements have to align correctly for everything to fit snugly. I'm making it out of plywood and neoprene and covering it in speaker fabric. I've made 3 other cases before in that style, all by hand. It will be big and heavy though. The thing is, it's primary purpose is to be a double synth but it also will act as a 'hub' for powering and mixing of additional external hardware too. All of the the wiring (audio, power and midi) will be pre-connected and will be hidden in the recesses under the second keystep tier so that all you need to do is turn the machines on and connect your main outs from the mixer to a main mixer, amp, etc.... and you're good to go. I'll probably make a video overview of it when it's done.
This was a really enjoyable video. I already own the keys but this was an invigorating watch. I think the keys is held back in many eyes by its keyboard if I'm honest. I'm glad it's there but with it I feel people see the keys as only another volca. A quick disposable thing. I think it's a bit more than that. Attach a controller and it's got a really great sound and becomes such a powerful little instrument. Though I also love that it has a keyboard :D
Sounds great through guitar pedals especially bass guitar pedals that let the bass fundamentals through better (chorus, distortion, envelope filters ✉️ etc) get a 3.5mm stereo to 6.3mm mono jack and you're good to go 🥰
If you guys have any of those fancy small form factor 500 series modular recording/mixing consoles like from tree audio you should make a video filling it with nothing but 500 series effect pedal insert modules and make a crazy guitar pedal synth out of it.
Hello video. Not sure why you call me internet. I am a person, not a network of cables, radio connections and other hardware. I am not even the world wide web, because as I say, am a person, not software and data files. That aside, thanks for the video. I have had my Volca Keys for 10 years now and still use it almost daily!
Dude the volca bass is amazing, just watch some volcaniced videos where he's using the bass and your frown will turn upside down, the bass might be my favorite volca.

Vk, this is really a very simple yet versatile synthesizer. I love mine!
Totally. I still get lost in mine at times! Add a couple of pedals and it’s gold!
@@midichlorian73 yeeees I have the Zoom ms70, they make a perfect couple 👍
I Get lost in my Volca Keys Universe on a regular basis! Fantastic little synth! 😉🤖🤖

Got mine a few years ago.. still not used it... thank you. Time to re-learn...love this video, it's been really helpful.
Right on! Share your work with us.
Perhaps another 10 years will reveal that there's actually something quite special about the volca keys. It has character.
Keys and Drum are the best. The Nubass would be amazing if only you could slide all 16 steps. Super disappointed in that.
Your comment is weird.
Volca keys is far and beyond an extremely common synth for good reason. It's very clearly a special synth

Came for the Volca Keys, Subscribed for the Chime t-shirt.
The volca keys is a must-have. The only thing I wish it had is a built-in rechargeable battery.
you could mod it

Sounds like a fun and versatile project that won't break the bank!
Why get two keysteps and not one keystep pro?

Volca Keys F O R E V E R ❤️
Totally! Affordable, tiny powerhouse!
It can do rich vintage quite well at a super cheap price. Even ten years on people are still finding new tricks for it.
Fantastic addition to any studio!

500 is something that we've never discussed. Could be a fun vid, but we currently don't support the format.
Good job. Sounds great
Thank you for listening AND the good vibes!
🔥🔥
What are the bass sounds like on this?
With FLUX and temp DEVIDER sequencer can be 4 bars really. Shame that its the only VOLCA with FLUX... but that makes it special tho.
Sold it. Then apologized and got it again.
Haha! Been there myself many times!
0:44 I wonder if this gentleman has a five year old at home. It sounds like he's going through it!
It makes me uncomfortable, when they do demos, without a regular size keyboard lol

check out Automatic Gainsay's series of videos on the Volca Bass.
I have a Keys and Drum. While I love the Keys in particular, I'm thinking about getting a Bass. They're different machines with different features.
2:24 The keyboard is a lot, but defintely NOT a membrane keyboard....It is a glass, capacitively coupled keyboard....BIG difference there....
