Mine sounds great and it's definitely a great value for money hardware synth. When I require more FM power, I use two powerful VST synth's F,'em and FM8 that I got dirt cheap in a sale.
I connected the VOLCA FM2 and Laptop (with MIDI to USB Adapter) using the Midi Y-Cable for splitting the Midi signal. When I made a recording to Laptop and DAW, there worked everything fine, while when I connected it to the VOLCA FM2, no MIDI signal was detected. Afterwards, I connected the same external Midi source (without Midi Y-Cable) with VOLCA FM2 and did work great, the signal was detected. I wanted to ask, if anyone has any similar situation and did solve it? I was thinking, if there's something in VOLCA FM2 settings, which is needed to be set for detecting the incoming splitting external Midi Signals to be detected correctly? Any suggestions what should I do?
I read several times, that it's of importance which kind of midi cable you use. One that was recommended is a TRS-MIDI Cable A (by Befaco, for example). I just ordered the Volca FM2 and that TRS-Midi Cable A from Befaco, I hope it'll work. (the cable wasn't that expensive; it was 11 Euros)
bit confused, other utube vids say you cant control the sustain via a pedal, also the sync to midi adaptor has to come from Korg, really they should provide this
Finally a decent amount of voices. The 3 voices of the original were what made me hold back on buying it.
Guess i'm gonna have to get this one. :)
Great sound⚡⚡
Honestly, that would be cool to have at least 10 voices polyphony as it now can function as an external module for keyboards. Please add in V3 🙏
I just got mine which is brilliant but no power supply or batteries. Is this an error ?

it seems they need to free warehouses . Do we need to take a pause and wait for volca FM 3?
Can the FM be used along with the Electribe 2 ?
nice demo, thanks. velocity sensitivity over midi?
I believe so
Vintage DX6 from the 80s, lol! I think he meant the DX7!
He said "vintage synths" not "vintage DX6"!
"vintage dx synths"
Intro has Ballad Of Gay Tony vibes.
