- Hello everyone! Welcome back to our youtube channel. We present to you our next review for budget espresso machine. ACA-ES12A. The most aesthetically pleasing that we have so far. The quality of this machine is superb for the price. The most impessive thing on this machine is its portafilter. Very solid and has both spring clips and hook to hold filter basket in place during knocking out the coffee puck
Some modification needed if you want to make proper (real unpressurised) espresso which you need to replace the filter basket with unpressurised filter basket. By doing this, you need to have a good grinder as well. Oh yeah, the steam wand is great as well. You can remove the cover, and the steam wand is quite long and can be used with bigger milk pitcher. A plus point for this product.
The only downside for me is there is no steam knob to control the steaming power. However, it can steam and froth impressively.

Hello, thank you for your kind words. Well, i would say it based on your budget. If under 1k ringgit, it can be gemilai machine or even delonghi. If under 500 or 400 ringgit, i would suggest ACA machine

Have you ever had problems with the shower screen? mine doesn't disperse water very well and it creates a hole in the puck because it streams water very fast in the middle of the shower screen.
I never had that problem. But, one of my friends had the same problem. Got hole in the middle of the puck after brewing the coffee.
Hi, something just pop up in my mind, is there any difference using expresso machine that uses 15 bar of pressure and 20 bar of pressure? Does more pressure can create better expresso?
Hi! Higher pressure doesnt mean better espreesso. Modern espresso usually brewed between 6-12 bar (ideally 9 bar). Lower or higher than that, it will affect the taste. But i cant say it is bad or good. Different people have different taste. Budget espresso machines with '20 bar' pressure isnt exactly true. They use pressurised basket to mimmick the pressure of the pump.

Hi! Right now I've been using nestle profesional for my small cafe. Most of the milk (fresh milk or full cream) in the market right now is good. However, i cant make a good latte art using dutch lady full cream yet.

Hi! Thank you for your kind words. For 1k, if you already had a good grinder, I would suggest to go for Gemilai CRM3605. If you dont have a good grinder, I would suggest pressurised system machine from delonghi brand (for better quality for the price)
How do I know which size I should buy for the non pressurized basket and ensure it can fit?
Hi, the filter basket is 51mm. We have tested it. We have 51mm unpressurised basket fitted to our stock portafilter.

No steam knob at the side. Only change mode at the front knob for brewing, standby and steam

Hi thanks, I've been using this for one year already. And still function perfectly without any problem yet. It can brew decent espresso. Also, you can add unpressurised portafilter if you want to.
@@aqoffee1160 whats the difference if using unpressurised portafilter? does the expresso taste better?
Using non-pressurised filter, you can get better espresso by using good grinder. for pressurrised system, even if you have a good grinder, your espresso will taste almost the same.

Starbuck uses darker roast beans. Its hard to find which is better because darker bean will give uniform taste which is bitterness. If they use medium to ligther roast, it will be different story. However, based on their machine, the potential is their espresso is much better if compared with the same beans. (Constant water temp and higher pressure). And all depends on the barista who brew the coffee.

51mm with two lock mechanism (usually 51mm uses 3 lock)
