  • In this video I share how I do milk steaming using Home Espresso Machine (Breville, ACA / BOXR) to make cappuccino ( 1/3 espresso, 1/3 milk, 1/3 milk foam).
    There are 2 stages in milk steaming, namely aeration and texturing, which is explained in this video.
    I also demonstrate how to make latte art using home espresso machine.
    Steaming milk using home grade espresso machine has the same method compare to commercial machine, but the duration of milk steaming is different due to low steam wand power in home grade machine.
    I hope you find this video useful.
    Cheers.

    Is there any different method for steaming freshmilk and full cream milk?

    • @indo-aussiebarista8522
      @indo-aussiebarista8522  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thank you for your comment but sorry I am kinda confused here because as far as I know, Fresh milk can not be compared with full cream since fresh milk comes in several forms including full-fat/ "full cream" (about 3.8% milk fat on average), low-fat (less than 1.5% milk fat), skim (no more than 0.15% milk fat), modified (fortified with extra protein, vitamins or other nutrients), flavoured milk and buttermilk. Fresh milk it self is raw milk that has been pasteurised and homogenised to be safely consumed. This milk is stored in the fridge. Fresh milk usually compared with UHT (different in sterilisation process) while full cream is being compared with skim, soy, almond, oat, and lactose free milk in term of how to steam these types of milk well.

      I just curious is that possible if we use UHT milk instead of Fresh milk or pasrerization?

      @@donyfebriana4505 You can use some brand of UHT milk, because different brand of UHT has different percentage of protein and fat that really matter to produce micro foam. In Indonesia, I tried 2 UHT milk brands which were Ultra Milk and Diamond, hence I only can suggest Diamond UHT for latte art practice since Ultra milk produce too little foam. You can also use sweetened condensed milk (Indomilk) like in my other video for more affordable latte art practice.

      My experience for steaming UHT Milk and Fresh Milk , the differences is in the foam created, fresh milk has a perfect foam , but UHT has more rough foaming. I have a picture as I mention above.

    Kalau hasil steam susu terlalu foamy, salah nya dimana ya?(saya pakai diamond fresh milk-pasteurized)

    • @indo-aussiebarista8522

      Ahmad Budi Sahputra kemungkinan trlalu lama stretching/aerationnya. Jdnya waktu u texturing milk jg berkurang n jdnya milk terlalu foamy n ngga silky smooth. Coba kurangin waktu aeration (berhenti aeration klo volume susu udh bertambah 1/3-1/2 volume awal). N stlh itu transfer susu d another warm jug spy lbh silky foamnya.
