This guy is a class act. Read his wiki page. Not just the fact of he coached the likes of Roy Jones Jr but look at the charity work he has done regarding at risk youths. I speak for everyone on here im sure in thanking you for your amazing videos Tom. Absolute legend and it is an honour to be a subscriber to your channel

I would love to go to his gym with a pen and paper and watch him coach for a few weeks. I am blown away when I see his boxers training on the videos they are top class or should I say world class.

Coach... I 'm very sorry to say this...
I didn't think I'd ever have to write this about your videos...
    But, you're slipping....
You're slipping into ATG legendary status...
I loved the fact that you not only show what you do with with slipping and shoe shining....
but, just as importantly... what you don't do!!!
Totally love what you do... A good coach is hard to find and we're lucky to have you.
Thanks for the vids and for your time.

I have to comment again. What drew me into this when I first saw this channel is his footwork and body synchronization. . Nowhere else you can get it like that. Switches and shifts are awesome. I used to do taekwondo for a bit and this is very clear to me. Analyzing great fights and boxing and so much more! Than I looked Tom up and oh boy! Thousand likes to his channel.

In his Podcast Teddy Atlas recently talked about the Peekaboo and stated that it also needs to be adapted to the fighters. Patterson, Torres and Tyson all had their own way of using this style.
He also stated that is is a meticulous designed system which has a response/formula for everything. Combining Offense and Defense in an efficent manner.
It also would be interesting to see that style in orthodox vs southpa was basically there is no footage of that .

I'd like to see more breakdowns of good fighters.. I don't think one should copy someone else's style rather than creating your own one. But you definitely can choose parts from different fighters if you think it fits your style!

I'd like to hear the cons of this style. I'm thinking the only downside is if you stand right in front of your opponent as your pretty square, or, having a long range opponent and having to get close. Tyson had that explosive speed a lot of people don't have. It was like the perfect style for Tyson's physique and size.

    0:30 time drill
    1:05 tims stamps description
    1:45 mike stance :orthodox stance
    Multi stance fighter
    Sometime heel toe stance
    Sometime neutral stance
    2:10 jab
Slip to lft and weave drawing half circule
When start to end half circule is when
I throw shoe shine punches /head or body
3:00 Most times to body to set up last couple punches to head like anderson
3:15 when start to end half circule I turn my waist
Start to throw 45 punches to body (half uppercut /half hook /short hook)
3:33 I throw them with hip turn
Mike specially throw shoe shine with.power in every punch
And each shot is hip turn / and power coming from hip turn
Throw 6 shots end up with lft hook
    One eye on shot
Not drop hands /with hip turn
4:50 planted /leverage on floor /knees go in
Rt foot can turn liitle bit For extention /becz its litte bit far away
5:20 so again jab to head /half circule /turns into first punch of shoe shine 6 short hooks to body
    Hook to head
    5:45 slip /draw half circule(weave )
    Then lft jab again
Dip then hook to body /head
Then slip and weave /more than half circule!! /draw letter u
    (All hip turn )
Set myself to rt uppercut /lft hook
    6:35 back again
7:05 then dip again /hook to body /head
7:15 shift to southpaw (throw rt foot go infront /lft foot go back )
Throw rt hook body or rt uppercut
/ or rt uppercut /rt hook
(I can go inside outside /or outside insdie )
    7:50 shift back to orthodox
    Lft hook body /lft uppercut
    Or lft uppercut /lft hook
8:10 weave to lft /then to rt
Back to jab and repeat drill
8:30 shoe shine: waist rotating from west to east /to east to west
    So going clockwise /to counterclockwise
    9:00 fist driving at 45 /

    Continue drill..
11:05 shift (rt foot move forward /slide lft foot back )
11:35 weight on rt hip /stays om rt hip after shift
12:00 being on ball of foot /not up high /heel just come off ground little bit
    Weight already on rt hip

Could you please make a video about the difference between the philly shell à la Joe Frazier vs Peekaboo Tyson?
It seems to me that you can shutt off a Peekaboo fighter by using bodyshots. In the Philly shelll the body is protected when closing distance with head movement.
Also your former fighter Meza Clay had a very good style, can you explain if what he did was basically reflexes / conditioned responsed based on drills?
When Meza (Tyson/Frazier) closes distance and uses pre-emptive headmovement, does he have to change the rythm so that he is harder to be timed?
A lot of people talk about headmovement , however they neglegt timing and rythm regarding the headmovement (+distance / positioning).
Would it please be possible to talk about those aspects?
