Terence Crawford is not just a boxer; he is a force to be reckoned with. His combination of exceptional skills, relentless training, and commitment to science-backed methodologies make him a truly special athlete.
Only reason he look that good against Spence ,shouldn't not be fighting 147 or 154, he should be fighting at 160 or 168. His walk around weight is about 185 190 think about that, how much he took his body through
Crawford's commitment to his strength and conditioning is unmatched. The intensity and precision with which he approaches his workouts is awe-inspiring. It's no wonder he has achieved such remarkable success in the ring.
A bit late but if you're still interested, Boxing Life has a video about how Marvin Hagler used to train. It's my go-to motivation video when I'm feeling too lazy to go to the gym lol
There's likely much less footage on them but my guess is there'd be significantly less weight training (if any) among many of them as that was frowned on for a long time in boxing
Been doing all that type of stuff with the exception of the ski method with the ball but have and do things very similar in challenge. I have a Boxing and MMA background, been a coach for years.
Bud is an exceptional athlete and has crazy determination. Boxing, football, basketball, wrestling, you name it, he’s GOOD. Perfect example of when natural talent and skill work together.
Strength and conditioning are vital and it’s 50% of what you need the other part is your mental when you get cracked in chin…. I think it’s going to boil down to who has the best chin since they both are in good condition. 🤜🏾
@ismailmiah1446 if you're just starting out with lifting, better to do a more general beginner program than this stuff since this is more niche/advanced and isn't very effective if you don't have a strength base. Starting strength or 5×5 are good beginner programs. I took my squat from 185-335, DL from 205-405 and bench from 115-235 in the first 10 months on those programs when I was around your age. They are a great starting point for any athlete. Just my advice as a coach who's been around for a while!
Spence couldn't even send tiny Mikey Garcia or Danny Garcia to the ringside doctor, let alone the ER. Sit down fanboy, your one weight division manufactured bum is about to get the sh*t knocked outta him.

I'd love to see the training methods of old school boxers: Hagler, Lennox Lewis, SRL, SRR, Duran, McCullum, etc. Possible?

Great breakdown very interesting.
You do realize he’s experienced training at NSCA headquarters. Might be one of the best S&C facilities in America.

I used to condition teens like 10 years ago. I use to start em with PCV pipes and advance to a weight bar or weights once they've mastered form.
