    0:34 1 2 n3
Angle to lft :step forward and lft
Turning hips /not leaning and get head past knee
Lft hook to body palm up
Shift back (not switch ) (like pivot)
    Another lft hook to body
2:35 lead hand foot come back same time
3:05 then step to over rt side
    throw rt hook to body
Then shift to lft (no switch /like pivot ) throw rt uppercut or shovel uppercut to body /lft hook
3:44 change shoulder traj going to rt /head drops too
4:10 pivot again !! Not shit
5:15 head go back to inside of rt hip /not in center or 50/50
5:38 practice ot until I can't do it wrong
    6:25 lstep /skip step
6:30 further distance for more footwork /stepping
8:10 more power on hook /one eye one shot
8:30 work on mitts: not short punches /extend them/ full velocity / twist /turn in hips)
    Not pity pad /weak punches
    10:25 paddles better than pad
11:25 Better for eextend punch/follow through
12:15 better for work muscles of bring punch back
12:35pads dont let me use muscles to bring punch back

Magnificent. The footwork is basic to be successful in boxing. The number one doing that is Loma. When I look at the athletes, during their matches, I see a lot of arm working, but not foot working.

Congrats to my fellow boxer and champion Danny Bodish (forgive me if I misspelled the name:) and Coach Tom Yankello and the World Class Boxing Channel. I just practiced this excellent drill as a southpaw (since I am a switch hitter:). Of course, I will continue to practice the drill because correct repetition and muscle memory is key. That’s why I downloaded it. I just want to thank you again, Coach Tom. With the utmost honesty and humility, I’m a 48 years young boxer, and my coach even gave me a key to the gym because I love my boxing coaches and my gym is part of my family, and also, because, with all honesty and humility, I’m the hardest working boxer in San Diego, CA. I’m blessed to train everyday. I just want to also express my appreciation to you Coach Tom because a lot of people on social media will say negative and inappropriate comments, and you don’t go down to their level. Anyways, May God always bless you and your family and gym, Coach Tom.
    Most Sincerely,
    Jeff “Rattlesnake” Railey

This is golddust! Coach. You just showed that footwork comes in combinations as well as punches. Danny must be the best pupil ever. That footwork drill was like a priceless piece of artwork around the 03:18 mark... Both you and Danny always offer that little bit extra and go that extra mile that takes your lessons off the chart... We'll be practicing that equivalent of the 3-pointer for footwork for months to come...

There are advantages and disadvantages to using every tool; one possibly underappreciated advantage of the paddles is the wear and tear they save on the coach's joints compared to regular pads and mitts! You want your coach to be able to show up feeling good and with enthusiasm, not dreading the session because they feel like they got hit by a train and fatiguing early due to pain. They're also a great tool to introduce beginners to pad work in a friendly and approachable way.
EDIT - he just said basically the same thing. 😊

I agree with benefits of paddles 100%. Tainer for 103 yrs and not only do pads beat up the coach but has disadvantages for the fighter. Best thing a fighter can do is shadow box. Allows you to extend like the paddles. Paddles give just enuf feedback to make them effective

The best way to start the new year is with yet another excellent training video. The footwork drill will allow a fighter to swarm opponents from angles that are difficult to defend against. Also now I am a believer in the virtues of paddles for training drills.

Great instruction as usual. Thanks. I gave a pair of those paddles to my trainer and he thinks they are great. And I gave the boxing hit sticks to my other trainer because he didn’t like those paddles.
The hit sticks are also good because the trainer can hit you back with them for defense. Good for punch counters.
