I love hearing your story and tips. I have ADHD so I was prescribed Adderall for the last 9 months, I had to keep getting a higher dose to feel something and it wasn’t until yesterday my really good friend mentioned I should stop taking it because it wasn’t doing anything. I yelled at him and said I couldn’t stop taking it and I knew addiction was already genetically ingrained in me so I stopped cold Turkey. It’s hard af right now but having your channel to watch has been helpful!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with coming off of Adderall I take four 30 mg tablets a day. And I'm scared but your post gave me hope because I can't wean off of them it's like all or nothing with me I'm just scared of the depression and anxiety cause I already suffer from depression and anxiety but really thank you for sharing what you shared❤
I was on it all through my school years. I quit abruptly after I graduated, and I was blindsided by the need to self medicate with street drugs. Speed, opiates, weed; but mainly alcoholism. It's been a struggle ever since. I'd be glad to go back to the normal dose of adderall, and that be my only issue. Something everyone taking stimulants for attention needs to be aware of is the potential for a more severe addiction issue to arise when you stop them.
I have never tryed Adderall mostly because my country does not have it. I have adhd and have been using Concerta and Vyvanse for little more than year. I mostly take them in the weekdays and have weekends off from those. My grades are much better and my work is going much better than before those meds. Because i take only 40mg of Vyvanse (and when i was with concerta i took 36mg) i don't have any problems when i don't have them. Then again my adhd symphtoms are much worse those days. I am gland that i never tryed street stimulants such are cocaine or speed. I am 100% sure that i would be hooked on those drugs. They are also much more different than adhd meds even thought the active substace is same. Also if someone does not have adhd i would recommend to stay away from adhd meds. The biggest problem with Adderall compared to Vyvanse is the shorter half life and i don't see any benefits from L-amphetamine compared to D isomer
Hey btw, I wasn't able to get to your blog directly from the description link. Idk it doesn't load the page. And I did go anyways and the site looks really nice. Idk if I ever mentioned to you that I am a web developer? So as someone who works on stuff like that I'm definitely impressed, it looks great.
Such a great video, thank you! I’ve been off adderall for two years and lately I’ve been missing it. I am also diagnosed ADHD. Missing how effortlessly skinny I was and motivated and focused. The panic attacks that Felt like heart attacks and all the bad symptoms I suffered are fading from my memory which isn’t good. Sometimes I forget why I stopped. I’m also massively massively triggered when I hear about people taking it and how much it’s helping them, do you have any tips on dealing with that?
Hey Elle! Do you know what it is exactly that triggers you when you hear it’s helping other people? For me, I had to work a lot on self-acceptance and appreciating who I was not on Adderall. It was tough for me to accept that my body didn’t react to it like did for my friends. Congrats on the 2 years👏👏👏
Adderall made me control my thoughts, and emotions, I'm starting a family now and the hardest decision was to stop adderall, it's only been a week and I remember again why taking it made my life better... I'm crazy again, I don't feel like gardening, my mulch hasn't been turned, I don't want to cook... I can't control my thoughts,... I'm crazy again. 😞
You’re not crazy! You’re amazing 👏👏👏 once you detox from it, life will pick itself back up naturally. Part of the process is letting it do its thing. Congrats!
This is because your baseline dopamine levels have dropped quite a bit due to Adderall addiction. For the baseline to be at a more workable level, it will take time. You are in recovery.
So good you got of the adderall I mean you really of it ok I believe you lucky you did not become addicted to street lab speed well done 👍 good on well done 👍💯..

Glad you were able to realize and stop before it became a problem 😊
Thank you Candy!
