      Continue to practice walking with your baby multiple times throughout the day. Walk around holding her hands to reassure her. Then as she becomes more confident in walking, start to decrease the help you provide to hold her up, and give her the opportunity to walk on her own.

      Priya thank you for your question. It sounds like your baby can walk, but just lacks the confidence to do it on his own. We give children until 18 months to walk independently. Continue to give your baby plenty of practice.

    • @friendlykiddoc8796
      @friendlykiddoc8796  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes the toys on the push walkers are engaging to the baby, and it's fine to let your son spend time playing with them. After giving him time to play with the toys, then encourage him to hold onto the push walker and practice walking.

When he walk alone he tends not to balance his head and fall his back, many times his head had fall because of walking, i'm really worried but his okay 😞i teach him to walk every morning and afternoon😞

      It’s normal for babies to fall a good amount in the first several months of walking. The more your baby practices, the better he will become with keeping his balance when walking.

      Hi Blessy. Several of the first exercises in this video work well for teaching the baby to stand. You can stand your baby with hands resting on a couch, while you spot and assist when the baby needs your support. Having your baby standing and supporting the full body weight while you provide light support by holding the hands also helps the baby become confident in standing.

    Thank you so much for this video! My daughter is 10 months and is starting to stand on her own she is also getting more confident taking steps while only holding on with one hand.
    I am always worried about falls and hits to the head, but I’ve heard many people say babies need this to learn. If I stop her from falling too much right now will this hinder her learning to walk? I’m afraid of her falling on hard floors or hitting her head on other hard surfaces.

    • @friendlykiddoc8796
      @friendlykiddoc8796  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hannah thank you for your feedback! It's exciting that your daughter is starting the journey or learning to walk. As long as you're giving her the opportunity to practice without holding on to her the entire time, by catching her when she starts to topple over, you're not hindering her learning to walk.

    My baby will be ten months tomorrow and he doesn’t full crawl. He’ll just drag himself backwards but doesn’t go forward. He doesn’t like me having him stand either. He immediately would want to sit. Though when he was around 6 o 7 months, he was standing very firmly with my help and would no fuss about it. He always hated tummy time too now that I think about it. He would cry as if I was doing something hurtful to him. Any ideas of what I can do?

    • @friendlykiddoc8796
      @friendlykiddoc8796  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Marisol I appreciate you asking my input. There are six different crawling styles. Not all babies will do the classic hands and knees crawl. I talk about them all in this video: th-cam.com/video/VYlz_j0V4Qk/w-d-xo.html
      It sounds to me like your baby might be doing the commando crawling style.
      It's amazing how babies change month to month. At one point he enjoyed standing with your support, now he doesn't want to. I encourage you to keep practicing with your baby. Put items that he wants to get, a little out of reach to encourage him to move towards them. When he's ready, he will start to stand for longer periods of time and take steps.

      For children we recommend giving them a good range of vegetables, fruits, proteins and whole grains. We absorb vitamins and minerals better from food than from taking supplements. Focus on providing your baby with a good variety of foods.
      You can speak to the baby’s medical provider about checking for anemia. If the baby does have it, they will recommend the right supplement to give.

    Hello....I have 1 year old baby ...she is bum shuffling still not walking but she is standing with help ... what should I do ? Any exercise!

    • @friendlykiddoc8796
      @friendlykiddoc8796  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Suman. I encourage you to devote time several times a day to get your daughter on her feet to practice walking. Any of the exercises I mention will work, but you can do the exercises that work best for your daughter. Give her opportunity to become more comfortable walking with your assistance, or holding onto furniture, before letting go to see if she will take steps on her own. Sometimes I find that babies who get around with bum shuffling are not as motivated to learn to walk on their own, because they can get around. By getting her to practice walking, you will make her more confident in getting around that way.
