    This has been my go-to recipe for the past few years. It's never let me down! The cream before baking is an absolute game changer!
    I don't have a stand mixer, so I always knead by hand. It's such a pain but it's beyond worth it!

    The best cinnamon roll recipe on the internet, hands down. The heavy cream makes such a huge difference. Other recipes I've tried without it turn out dry. Made it several times and it's always fantastic.

    Yesterday I spent the entire day searching for a good cinnamon roll recipe until i decided to try out yours. I made the rolls today and OH MY GOD THEY ARE SO INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS!! words cannot describe it properly how good they are! my whole family loved them! I'm so grateful for this amazing recipe, Julie! You explained all the steps so well and even tho I've never worked with yeast before, you gave me the courage to make this gooey and fluffy deliciousness. I'm going to recommend your channel/blog to all of my friends! Thank you so much! ❤️ Liked and subscribed

    I've been sceptical of trying out cinnamon rolls mainly coz it looked like too much work but what else to do in lockdown? 😅
    Recipe review- PERFECT! Everything from the dough to the filling to the glaze. Bang on!
    If anyone's outcome wasn't as expected , you just didn't follow the recipe right. Period.

    These are the best cinnamon rolls I have ever ate. I have ate the ones you buy in the store and have never liked them but now I love cinnamon rolls, well these anyway. I have never made them before I made these. I was scared to death, just knew I would mess it up. I used my bread maker to knead the dough and it was so easy. I can't tell you how much I appreciate finding this recipe. I gave some to my mother who is 90 years old and she loved them. They are so yummy!
    You made 2 ladies so very happy. I put them in the freezer and take one out when I want one. So amazing!

    I have been making cinnamon rolls for years and have had a Cinnabon copycat recipe that is to die for. I recently was taking care of a dear friend's acreage and was craving cinnamon buns. At the time, I was disappointed I didn't have my "Go to" recipe with me & so I had to look on-line for another copycat recipe. I was actually looking to find my go to recipe when I came across this one. The 4.9 * rating with thousands of reviews caught my eye. I will have to admit, the tag line about a "Secret ingredient" had me rolling my eyes. Well Julie, I owe you an apology!! You certainly were NOT lying or misleading me with a secret ingredient! The addition of the heavy cream just before baking absolutely brought these rolls to the next level!! So much so, I thought I had actually died and gone to heaven. LOL Thank you so very very much for sharing your true "Secret ingredient" with us!!!❤ My family and friends thank you too!

    Usually when you make a recipe trying to replicate a commercial product such as Cinnabon, it never turns out quite as good as the original. But this recipe, on my first try was simply outstanding. It was actually every bit as good a cinnamon roll, as I've ever had. These instructions are tops. And I did all preparation by hand with no power mixer.

    Just made this now, out of the oven. Mine took double the time to rise, my house is a bit cold. Left mine in the oven for 20 min. They look great. I tried another recipe that I kneaded by hand, forget that! My Kitchen Aid did a excellent job, and the dough was so easy to work with/ Since I have a granite countertop, I though it might be too cold, so I rolled the dough out on a cloth. I added raisins right before I rolled it up and added maple since I like it. I never had a Cinnabon before so love this!

    I did it....they rose up so puffy and pretty...I don't like my dry active yeast I think it like to try using instant yeast...I'm happy with how many swirls of cinnamon I got just by stretching the dough as I rolled the roll tightly..so yummy and the 2 cups of powdered sugar sure doesn't make the frosting overly sweet,,love the cream before baking the bottom is so delightfully gory, also, the tops of the rolls are soft as well,,thank you for this recipe..Namaste 🌎✌🏼

    I made these Cinnamon rolls 2 weeks ago and they turned out great!! Today, not so great, because it’s a little hotter outside therefore a little warmer in my kitchen and it just really made the dough soften too much before I could get them rolled up and cut. We are retired so it’s just the wife and I. My advice is unless you have a large household or are having guest you should figure a way to freeze some or give to family or neighbors. They are so rich that you’ll get a sugar overload. They are really that good but without moderation I can see someone getting a sugar burnout.

    Hi there ! Is it 375°f convection oven (with fan on) or fan off ?

    What oven do you use? Electric fan assisted ?

    I've made these multiple times with some slight differences. I use a whole stick of butter for the dough. I also use the tang zhong method for the dough as well. For the filling, you really need to use a mixer to cream the butter and then add the dry ingredients to it. I also add a tbsp of vanilla extract to the filling as well. It makes it much smoother and more importantly easier to spread. Lastly, I don't use the cream cheese icing. I really don't understand the fascination with cream cheese personally. Instead I use two cups confectioners sugar with equal parts butter, milk, and heavy cream to give one half cup of liquid and thoroughly mix all components of icing together. Then I add a few other secret ingredients to give a flavor like no other.

    what model is your mixer? does it have a blinder? on side?

  • @happyredpanda

    I made this today, and I didn’t roll my dough tightly enough so my rolls weren’t that pretty, but they came out great! So fluffy, gooey & soft, my family said they tasted better than Cinnabon 😄! I added pecans to the filling, yum!!!
    I have a question though, I hesitated with pouring all the heavy cream onto the rolls - would it have been all right if I poured everything, such that there’s a pool of cream in the pan?

    This is the best cinnamon roll recipe ever!!! I do have a question: the video says soften butter when making the dough but the written recipe list melted butter when making the dough. Do it matter?

    • @TastesofLizzyT
      @TastesofLizzyT  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It doesn't matter too much. Ours is usually somewhat melted.

    This recipe is outstanding. I was honestly blown away. I used fresh butter milk for the dough since that's all I had and they came out so good 👍 the only bad thing is that now I have to share 🙄😍

    What would happen if i were to use dark brown sugar instead of light brown sugar? Would it make a huge difference?

    • @TastesofLizzyT
      @TastesofLizzyT  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be just fine! It would add a touch different flavor, but we love dark brown sugar. :)

    I followed the measurements exactly but my dough is very sticky. It sticks to the mixer and also sticks to my hands. What do you think I am
    missing that causes it to be so sticky. This also has problems rising.

    If I reduce this recipe by half to get only 6 rolls. Should I also reduce the yeast? Thank you! 😊

    • @TastesofLizzyT
      @TastesofLizzyT  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes...I'd reduce the yeast also. Maybe 1 1/2 teaspoons. I've found if I use the full amount the dough rises too much and ends up falling during baking.

    • @TastesofLizzyT
      @TastesofLizzyT  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Valentiiina J hi there!! So the heavy cream is definitely what makes the cinnamon rolls stand out. They will turn out without the heavy cream but won’t be as gooey at all.
