Do it yourself electrician, plumber, mechanic hunter woodsman. Well add to that (with your help) baker!!! They turned out nearly perfect!! My mother in law just looked on with disbelief and wondered where I came up with just doing it let Lone them turning out so well!!
Might I suggest a technique that I have found to apply the filling, Spread the softened butter onto the dough by itself then sprinkle the sugar/cinnamon onto the butter topped dough and give it a light press into the butter so it sticks. just my 2c worth.
No because then the sugar doesn’t get evenly distributed on the butter and it’s practically just butter you’re eating. You combine them all so you get the butter, cinnamon and brown sugar all together.
I loved the fact that your Recipee is from scratch. I am watching from India, and most of the time, brand name ingredients are not available. Very clear instructions. Thank You.
Hi Sheri! Thank you for sharing your recipe. I used 5 cups of flour (perhaps due to weather conditions here today), and used active dry yeast. For the frosting, since I love the cream cheese flavor, I used the 6 oz. of cream cheese, and only about 1 Tablespoon of butter, a few shakes of salt, only 1 and 1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon imitation vanilla flavoring. I put it in a container in the fridge, and we just use it whenever we want a cinnamon roll. I made one small pie pan of the cinnamon rolls, then needed to cover the bowl back up with the plastic wrap and a plate, and finish the other 2/3rds of the dough a few hours later. I came back, kneaded the dough a few times, just like I had the first time, then made 2 more pie pans of them and also baked them one at a time. I gave one of the pans of rolls to my neighbor, and she said, "These are good! You could sell these.". I like the addition of the heavy cream to the rolls before baking. I think it makes a little bit of a caramel sauce on some of the rolls. I liked only having to let them rise in the pan for 20 minutes before baking. In fact -- I didn't have 20 minutes to let them rise for that first pan, so they only rose for about 3 or 4 minutes, and then I baked them, and that was the pan of rolls that I gave to my neighbor who loved them. They still came out fine. I'm happy to finally now have this recipe to use. I was very happy with the results. They were fluffy and delicious. Thanks again.
When I’m baking I always check the weather channel to see what the humidity is and if it’s not at least at 40% I don’t bake because cooked whipped icing will not set if the humidity is high. Even whipping the eggs whites for the batter of a German Chocolate Cake will not work because the cake will not rise as well. So bakers check your weather channel before you bake.
Sheri, I just made a pan of these rolls for the second time. The first time, we took them to a small gathering of 9 people & I did not get a Crum! They were a tremendous hit! This second batch went so much easier. And today there will be 6 people total. (I think) & the cook this time will get first choice! This is a Perfect recipe!

The best I've seen so far! Adding the butter and other ingredients into the dough was everything. Not everyone will do this step. But it is definitely necessary.

I used to make home made cinnamon rolls. To keep them moist I would put butter and cinnamon filling and then I used to spread apple sauce along with the filling and some times raisins.. This added flavor and kept them moist. Your look yummy.
Looks yummy! I use my bread machine on the dough setting for my cinnamon roll dough. I have a different recipe I use, but I tried yours today. I am baking them as I type this. I don't have floss that isn't mint, so I used a sharp knife and softly sawed through them, worked great. Can't wait to eat them. Thanks for the tips!

Awesome! The one I seen before pours the heavy cream directly on top of the rolls after 10mins of baking. Then placed back in the oven for the remaining minutes. I’m sure both methods are great. Just wonder what the differences would be.

I heard you talk and went ahead doing these buns .I'm sold .I make very nice cinnamon buns but I like your idea of pouring cream and the maple syrup .I have it pure maple syrup in my pantry .
These are the greatest but I needed another pan. They were too big for 1 pan. I love them. The filling was enough for a nice cinnamon taste. Gr..eat as Tony the Tiger says.

Last night I brought 2 rolls to my neighbour as a surprise and she told me that she had icing all over her face but it was delicious and so worth it. Lol. I was curious about how pouring the warmed cream into the pan would turn out after baking and i think that it made the rolls even more lucious. Thanks for a great recipe Sheri.

Superball Sunday so I had to get something special for the occasion. I selected your recipe and turned out great...I had to improvise a little because it was a last minute decision. I did not have the heavy cream so I used half & half. Did not have the maple extract so I used lemon zest from 2 lemons. Did not have powder sugar instead used fine granulated sugar. And I forgot to grease the pan. Nevertheless they are very yummy. Thank you for posting the recipe.

Superball Sunday so I had to get something special for the occasion. I selected your recipe and turned out great...I had to improvise a little because it was a last minute decision. I did not have the heavy cream so I used half & half. Did not have the maple extract so I used lemon zest from 2 lemons. Did not have powder sugar instead used fine granulated sugar. And I forgot to grease the pan. Nevertheless they are very yummy. Thank you for posting the recipe.
