    I’ve done the underside of my Defender with Lanoguard, which appears to be a similar product to the Fluid Film you used. I’m pleased to see how well a lanolin based product holds up.

      Yes it is good stuff - does not creep as good as Krown into weld seams

    Nice demonstration! Nice to see the product is active and moving rather than staying in one spot.

    Blimey has it been 2 years ,I had a tin and used it on the disco great stuff but couldn't get any more, so I use the sheep grease ( lanoguard) that too is brilliant, I spilt a bit on my anvil 2 years ago even with red hot steel and water on it , lanolin is still there, keep the great video's coming 😀 👍

    Decent results. I'm a fan of Bilt-Hamber products like Ferrosol (maintenance spray, the reason I call WD, WeaselPiss40) and Dynax (anti corrosion protection).
    For rusty steel I'm a big fan of Owatrol. Then Dyanx over the top.

    Awesome video. Love the controlled experiments with different brands. you should definitely make a series rating different rust proof brands like this!

    I woud love to see permashine vs krown , dealership sold me permashine on last car and the rust started in the rockers
    Fluid film keeps winning tho , krown is also oil based but fluidfilm seems to be better

    Strange how the original application to the barrel didn't creep

    This Krown Rustproofing that you like so much is quite good but it is a bit of a pain if you have to re ably it every year not so bad if you are not old and decrepit and can do it yourself but for us old farts having to pay £500 a year or thereabouts to have it done is not cheap I think that I will stick with the Dinitrol Mike .

    • @BritannicaRestorations
      @BritannicaRestorations  ปีที่แล้ว

      You only need to apply it every year on exposed areas like wheel arches

    • @jptrainor
      @jptrainor 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I only pay $150 per year to have it reapplied in Canada. Why is it so much in your locale?

    Would you recommend krown rustproofing to keep rust at bay and help protect my pride and joy that 13 years old coming 14 this year, I'm thinking of doing the car from top to bottom in this stuff, but it always makes me nervous I don't want to soak my car in stuff that's just crap

      I can update for you 10 years later and the metal rusted in my 1987 taco, my 1997 taco 20 years later, frame rusted out, krown did nothing for me either time. Friendliest folks when they take your $, then its crickets when they need to pay up.

      @@fb9479if your ‘97 Tacoma lasted 20 years that’s pretty damn good considering how bad frame rust was on this trucks. Toyotas supplier for truck frames didn’t use the quality steel that is more resistant to oxidation thus the early death for most Tacomas. Today with better steel and better frame coatings trucks don’t rust as much.

      It inadvertently went in the scrap as the scrap price went up!
