That video snippet he plays using the Inspector guitar was taken when he was only 15. FIFTEEN. That’s insane. He is immensely talented and seriously gifted.
@CharcoalPencilPusher absolutely wrong. Some people are gifted with abilities to pick things up quicker. Not saying he didn't work incredibly hard but 99 percent of guitar players would never reach this technical ability especially at this age.
@CharcoalPencilPusher You must not play guitar or you'd understand there are literally not enough hours in the day for the vast majority of guitar players who have ever lived to even get half as good as Max. I have been playing for twice as Max is old and I have THOUSANDS of more hours of practice than he does, and I would never get that good even if I practiced another 100 years. You are sorely missing an element of talent and a natural gift for music which cannot be taught. What comes naturally to Max, and has, so early on, would take others far longer to grasp let alone duplicate, if they would even come up with the crazy phrasing and ideas in the first place. When your hands can do anything your brain wants them to, you reach a certa level (mastery). To get past that, you need to have a creativity which far surpasses your peers and Max has that in spades. He can already play anything that has ever been played, its WHAT he plays now, now HOW, that sets him apart.

Hearing you pal. The rusky dork boy has uber phenomenal skills right up there with the likes of Shawn Lane rip, and Guthrie Govan but honestly after a few minutes of listening to that hypersonic cacophony of notes it just becomes uninteresting to me.
@@x3a3x3: right? There always has to be that one D-bag in every comment section of a great player. The canned "lacks feel or emotion" or whatever intangible bullshit they come up with. They should just admit they're inferior dilletantes that don't appreciate a great player. Back to your pentatonic scales and 10 minute 'soulful bends'.
Max clearly has great technical talent and obviously similar to the likes of tom quayle and co. I just hope he continues to grow melodically and smooth that line of balance between shred and musicality like other greats e.g., satriani/guthrie govan
Exactly... Its a phenomenal talent and skill wich is impressive but i could not listen to a 2-3 concert with that style of playing... I miss the aggressiv aproach of other players who not have his talent, or bands who can do songs with just 2 chords wich are interessting enough that they don't suck even after hearing it 100 times... It's like yngwie for example... A song or two is great, but a complete album or a 3 hour concert would be much too much noodling for me... I sometimes feel like a song could be better with a less skilled player because his playing don't overshadows the vibe of the song... If the whole purpose of a band is just to let the guitarist's shine, then It's another story...
all the great guitar players were great in their teens. Yngwie, EVH, Rhoads. . .all of them. Max is no exception. The future of guitar isn't playing fast. There are tons of fast players. To take guitar to the next step a guitarist needs to hit the scene who is a highly trained musician and knows music as well as they know guitar.
The only problem i see with these very good guitarists that, years pass and still they are in to progressive jazz djent metal or fusion. I'm listening mostly these genres however , likable music in the genres are very hard to find. So it's not just about epic talent and fast clean playing, it's also about writing some tasteful music, which they lack
If you're a jazz person you know, at one part around 2:20 he played "the lick" but revolved it to a pinch harmonic and I almost laughed at how iconic that was.
He has some great slower solos. Check out “waterbear” “CA house music” and “Rhumba” for sure. “No feel, only pain” is a classic.” “Q&A solo”, etc. Yes, these solos have some fast parts but all tastefully done, imo. His “I switched to semi hollow guitar” solo is pretty awesome too.
I was a shredder back in the day. I left and picked up classical guitar because I felt the music element was missing in most electric guitar stuff. Especially shred. It's pretty much always just a display of virtuosity with rarely anything impactful and meaningful. When I got into classical it was a lot more immense musically. The lessons would revolve around musical architecture. Form. Phrasing. Dynamics. Phrasing. Dynamic tempos. Counterpoint. Harmony etc. It was was more about art. And technique was centered around not how fast you could play but about bringing out the music idea the composer had in mind.

He's definitely one of if not the most fluent on the strings but I struggle with finding enjoyment with the complicated riffs. I wonder how I would feel about something simple. Part of the magic of music is sometimes the simplicity, like Beatles harmonies, or at least something following a simpler key change pattern and solid rythem.
Check out his “waterbear” solo and listen to the beautiful playing on “when luck failed”. Go to my TH-cam playlist where I have all his best stuff. One of my personal favorites is “all pain, no feel”. And you gotta check out his “out for blood” solo!

Hearing you pal. The rusky dork boy has uber phenomenal skills right up there with the likes of Shawn Lane rip, and Guthrie Govan but honestly after a few minutes of listening to that hypersonic cacophony of notes it just becomes uninteresting to me.
So go listen to Chris Stapleton… apples to oranges. If it’s not your thing it’s fine..

Amazing lots of new quick playing
Gonna burn my guitars now.
This kid is nuts!
Time to buy a kazoo
He is phenomenal. He plays effortlessly. I hope he learns how to show some emotion. He has a very bright future ahead of him.
Love to see this guy collab with Coldplay. Really feel they could push his playing to the next level.
Ha ha, well played. Maybe he could do a thing with Talylor Swift too...
@@rhizomorph-music Or Lil Wayne?
he is one of the few modern guitarists who actually play "musically"
Max clearly has great technical talent and obviously similar to the likes of tom quayle and co.
I just hope he continues to grow melodically and smooth that line of balance between shred and musicality like other greats
e.g., satriani/guthrie govan
Already has, man. 🤷♂️
@@drinks-your-waterhe sure does.
@@Radovanhrbekowning to a particular time? 😂
I love this guy. Effortless and tasteful!!!!🎵🎶🤘🏾👊🏾
He is technicaly phenomenal, but I didn't get a lot of emotional content from him
Thats because he's a russian 😂😂😂
I wager very few do.
That adds to the mystique of it all
That’s his vibe.
He was so relaxed (through one of those runs that would have put my fingers in knots) that he almost fell asleep. His eyes got droopy.
Chops.
Technique.
Taste.
Rarely do you get the whole package. Bravo Mr. 👏👏
all the great guitar players were great in their teens. Yngwie, EVH, Rhoads. . .all of them. Max is no exception.
The future of guitar isn't playing fast. There are tons of fast players. To take guitar to the next step a guitarist needs to hit the scene who is a highly trained musician and knows music as well as they know guitar.
Yup. These players are getting more and more plasticky as the years go by.
Definitely fast and talented. Let’s hope he is able to bring his talent to the masses and create something with soul.
Ok, but can he SMILE? 😂
It’s good I’ve only seen short clips from him. Great technique but so much information! I’m getting too old for this much acrobatics.
He's 10 of the best guitar players in one... and still unique on his own!!
Why does this guy still not have a signature guitar....when Kirk Hammett does????? y o y
You said it all míster,...
Even Kirk Hammett does??
How come????
@@patriciosilvarobalino9832 because metallica sells alot of merchandise but i agree with you , kirk is a terrible player.... if max had tits he would already be touring and promoted. is hes desperate to sell his soul for fame, he should come out trans LOL that might get him a signature guitar faster
Muy simple.... Será porque no le interesa🤷
He & Matteo Mancuso should do an album & tour together.
Three great pics of the top young players right now!!
There are a lot more.
Abim Finger should be there too. These kids are so good
@@peterpeters4553So true but those 3 are pretty much the most popular and for some time now. Should definitely consider Tim Henson too he’s still in his 20’s
yes, he is a genius. but cold technique. i would love to hear a solo from his heart, when he is melancholic
Listen to groove on,that has so much soul and intricacy with dynamics that its insane…this kid can truly do it all
@@djuka7566 thanks for the reply. 👍
Rumba
Your on your way Max!!!!! The style looks so out of control yet, with absolutely nothing to hide perfection!!!! I knew you’d make it!!!! Mazel Tov!!!!! ✡️
He is a master guitarist - but there is someone better, Matteo Mancuso. "Matteo is light years years ahead of anybody" - Al DeMiola. Max is truly is unbelievable! No doubt about that!
There’s always someone better…
Both are amazing . Truly hard to compare the two . Both completely different styles
Matteo is far less melodic than Max and for me is basically musically forgettable. Still, Max is doing very little that hasn't been done in Shrapnel Records for 35 years plus.
They're both guitar Gods...who worship Guthrie Govan
Umm it's a thing of preference...I like Max better for example :D.
He is my favorite guitarist ever
The guitarist: fenomenale! I like him!
The music: same story for forty years... in my opinion, a little weak
We are the same age and i just know what a sustainer is a few days ago😂
It does not ring a bell for me, it's just technical supremecy.
It is clean but after about five minutes or less, I'm bored. I like content, songs
when Max forms his band the group's name will be SMILE
Just another shredder clone... I can think of about ten guys right off the top of my head that sound like this. What's he going to do to separate himself from the pack? Doesn't mean I can't appreciate what he's accomplished, but it's like hearing a bunch of different comedians telling the same joke 🥸
Yeah man this kind of "melodic" shred music is boring as fuck
Says there's two replies but I only see mine... Guess somebody didn't like what you had to say about Harry Potter jamming 🤣🤣🤣🤣
