@@bendertusepaki8995 Yep, then on top of that, the aura gives Daxos +1/+1. The devotion is 7, but Daxos is a 3/8.
I think it meant as a base, like "base power and toughness" the +1/+1 refers to something different, not the mechanic they were describing, as to how devotion works

It's REALLY confusing to display Nyxborn Colossus as a 4/7 in this video when it's really a 6/7! I would appreciate it if you edited the video or put something in the comments acknowledging this!

So Fblthp ascends beyond being just an all powerful Planewalker in theros got it.
Devotion is very useful with Mono Color decks, like Mono Green for example, to do MASSIVE support. This is especially true whenever you have cards that only cost a simultaneous color, like for Realm Cloaked Giant (from Throne of Elderaine) as one example. You can also use Duo Color, and have the multicolored spell have a cheap cost, to not only put Devotion to one color type, but two of them, like Dreadhorde Butcher (from War of the Spark) as another example. To be clear, Devotion will also be useful with ANY Aggro deck that would be considered Mono Color or Duo Color. I would hope that these tips for Devotion are useful for you to understand.

squirrels is a tribe who really needs support and an amazing Commander. and not just as a pure token deck.
same is true for Foxes. A White Green fox legendary would be so nice.

in general tribal decks need support. we have a huge ammount of edh players in our game store and i love the different varities of deck but sadly there are no tribal decks cuz creatures are too easy to crush. if there was an enchantment that would read choose a creature type and get stronger in effeckts based on the nuber of nontoken creatures u control of that type... that would be great. Like 2 or more all creatures get +1/+1 4 or more they gain trample 6 or more they gain +4/+4 8 or more they gain indestructible 10 or more they gain Hexproof etc

The Nyxborn Colossus in this video is a 4/7 rather than a 6/7 like the one we've seen elsewhere. What exactly is going on here?
Also I'm still mad about white getting a vanilla 3/1 enchantment creature for 1WW. Come on, seriously? And right next to a 3/1 for 1W with an upside?
Everywhere else I've seen (including Wizards' Card Image Gallery), Colossus is a 6/7. My best guess is that the card was a 4/7 earlier in testing and that's when this video was made, but they changed the card since then.
The more strict ya are, the harder Dax is ta kill.
Yes, six mana for plus 3 attack and plus 3 toughness. It makes giant growth look garbage
Wakeroot Elemental would be a better example, though it's from another set.
