i like the slogan from Castrol IT'S MORE THAN JUST OIL IT'S LIQUID ENGINEERING. And I forgot this to say: C3 is normal oil and LL means long life. Some cars use that like bmw because the oil change is at a high interval like 25000 but since i do the change every 10 000 its not really needed
I have a 1999 BMW 323i with 73k on it and people have told me to use thicker oil. And I love Castrol and I will always use 5w-30 Castrol🇩🇪 Thank you so much for video.
Never use ticker oil then needed. Unless you have a very old car that uses a lot of oil ..... Its something that people made up. Like a dumpvalve makes a car go faster .... haha 😛
Hi happydude! I was wondering why there are so many differences amongst a Castrol 5w30 ? (There is 5w30 C3, 5w30 M ....) is it about the authorization for your car brand? I've ordered the original Bmw Twin Power Turbo 5w30 (which is Shell oil i guess) for my M2 though I'm also a Castrol fan since I have used it for my previous BMW. And at what mileage do you change oil? (Every 10.000/15.000 kilometers?) ... thx and greetings from Germany!!
Ow yes i forgot that C3 is normal oil and LL means long life. Some cars use that like bmw because the oil change is at a high interval like 25000 but since i do the change every 10 000 its not really needed
Hi happy Dude. I hope you are doing well. Could you please advise me on the oil I should use? I live in Maputo (Mozambique, Africa) a hot country. I drive a 2002 316 ti BMW with almost 100.000 km. Should I use fully sythentic 10w40?
Use any oil u like just change every 15k kilometers and dont use any 0w-20. Castrol is not synthetic oil. Is mineral oil grade 4 only branded synthetic , there is only 2 brands who produce 100% synthetic oil. One of them is motul but is more expensive

Im not sure if you are still responding but i usually change at 7500 km. If i use Long Life, i can extend to 25000 km? Or how?

10 or 15k is safe for a M engine. For a diesel you can do 25k
Good explanation. Now I know what to get. Thanks dude
Brand means little, the specs, viscosity and rate of changing your oil are MUCH more important.
Don't forget a good filter.

@@HappyDude1 Oh for sure, I understand & see those people now, haha😎
Just read the Owner's Manual.
They don't make that anymore for like 20 years
I think 0w40 is best oil

I forgot to mention that the engine os N42.
first try 5w30 and see if it burns a lot of oil. And take a good brand like castrol
What is the recommended mileage to use Castrol Edge 5w30LL before changing it... Knowing that I change it after only 4000 miles.
The idrive will tell you that :)
But i did it every 20 000 km
Because i do a lot of km in a year
If you do short drives then between 10 or 15000 km
What about 20w50 ?
When I using it in iraq 🇮🇶
Where the temperature above 50 c here
Only if it is on the list for your car

Ow i tryed motul on my subaru and it used more oil then with castrol 😄
You should have gone 5w 40 its thicker and its clearly hot there.
No its always 10 20 degrees here
Is not LL-04 ?
Dont worry about it 😁
If you change the oil often
Its all good
It is LL-01
