what we learned when we moved to Houston; buy a toll pass. Buy a toll pass at least a small one with about $25 on it until you figure out the freeways what is toll and what isn't. We still prefer to keep money on a toll pass so we don't have to worry about it. Hire and pay for an Electricity Manager. The electricity here is crazy confusing. Pay someone to manage this for you at least until or if you think you want to handle this yourself. If you enjoy hunting for bargins, then you'll enjoy managing your own electricity. Slip up though even one month, and you'll find yourself with a $800electricity bill. Tires; we've had so many nails in tires and slow leaking tires, and bent wheels, and blown tires. Houston is hard on your car/tires. Traffic is no joke. Even California does not have surface streets wth the chaos you will find all over Houston. There is no police presence so folks do whatever they want especially running red lights and talking on the phone. Learn to like Chicken. It's the primary fast food in the city.

Hi. Please make a video how to survive in Houston/Katty without driving a car.

HOnestly I'm not sure you can. Most areas outside the direct city do NOT have sidwalks. "Blocks" are very long so crossing the street on a cross walk is a long walk and might be counter productive to your journey. You do not want to cross in the middle of the street, extremely dangerous; way too much traffic. Where I live at the border of Cypress I have not seen a city bus in 3 years. I rarely see bicycles.

We are moving to Houston in 60 days. We are going to Houston next month and were wondering what the best way is to look at a bunch of homes in a short amount of time. Where should we look?

Moving from canada to houston was a SHOCK , whats considered regular in canada is "luxury" in houston at idiotic prices , that or go rent with the gun shots.
Oh and black women at the dmv are EXACTLY as sassy as you heard.

Would you consider the Energy corridor, Westchase, or Memorial area too far from the city. I work remote but I have a beauty business that I would like to build up, so I want to be in the mix to network and promote as much as possible. When I went to visit a week ago, I found a nice apartment and toured it, but it is closer to the Westchase area.

    • @_twelve20media_

It’s not in the heart of the city, but I wouldn’t consider it far at all!!
