I've not been attending church years. Worship the Lord with my household at home for years. This was how the followers of Christ worshipped the Lord in Paul's day.
They did meet with other believers, though, breaking bread and worshiping together. Paul wrote that we ought not stop gathering with one another as some are in the habit of doing. Please invite other believers to your home and go to other’s homes, as well. We really do need one another. It is tempting to isolate, I totally have been there. We must go unto the world…
@@melissaculpepper7663 In this day and age you don't have to physically be in peoples houses to fellowship with them. Meeting online is just as good. 7000 people from around the world watch my content. I don't need to be in their homes physically to fellowship with my subscribers. Many left churches because of extortion. Pastors trying to justifying owning private jets to get from place to place just doesn't cut it.
I'm so grateful that I found your channel. I lost my mom back in 2015. It was so hard on me. I went to church when she was very sick. And I spent a lot of time crying. I actually had the Minister from this church, telling me that it has come to his attention about my crying and being upset. He told me to not cry anymore. That hurt so much. I know Yahweh counts our tears. I've shed many through the years. Thank you so much for all you do through scriptures. Blessings
when my dad passed I skipped church a lot becuase it was always so peppy and upbeat and I thought this is not comforting but also its not real life. Nobody is 'onfire' all their christian life. @@madelineeverritt8874
We have slowly pulled away from the broken church system of America. Trunk or treat, trivia night, music concerts...I just can't do it. I worked as a preschool teacher in this same church and saw so much unkind behavior from the teachers who were also members. I am sad that my image of the church was tarnished. I'm rebuilding through Scripture and self reflection. Watching how the church is handling the current war situation is an eye opener. I pray as a group of Christ followers that we can all do better. I don't want to fail my Heavenly Father.
Amen- spot on! I cannot imagine how it grieves the Lord to see these things... Which is why I think it IS important to call it out, seperate from it, and do better! Thank you for sharing! 🙏🏼
This is exactly why my husband and I don't attend the special activities. I understand they partly put these on so folks will get to know each other and build relationship but we want our church service to be about learning and worshiping together. Not so much being entertained. Don't get me wrong, we love our church family but we can entertain ourselves. We don't need them to do that for us.
This is why Islam has such an easy time defeating America, Muslims are better organized, have a solid structure. Islam has clearly defined roles for women to obey. Islamic leaders are fearless & leaders of Men. For any situation, Islam has an answer. The Quran and teachings is always the heart of every mosque. This is why christians fail, because Muslims have more Faith in Allah than christians faith in Jesus. May you enjoy many Blessings from you God. Peace, Happiness, & Good Health to you.
Church goers have to be given lots of stuff and activities in order to stay with that church. It’s now accepted. This is just over the top. It’s gone too far.
My wife and I grew up in an anabaptist (Mennonite) church and we are excommunicated from that because of their beliefs on them being the one true visible church. However I truly do miss the warmth that was there as a child growing up. SPIRITUAL concern was primary over everything else. Members encouraged each other spiritually, there were meetings just for self examination and sharing with brothers and sisters. The typical Protestant belief says “God and me”, anabaptism says “you can’t be a Christian without your brother” and I so deeply miss this! We could go back but there are other things going on that prohibits us. So we go to this church and that church and feel so alone not because there aren’t enough social activities or suppers or dinners and social media, it’s because truly opening up of oneself to your brother and confessing faults and spiritual reproof and self examination among our brothers and sisters is so missing. I’ve tried to have a spiritual conversation with other church members and it falls flat. No one has spiritual struggles it seems, every one is expected to be spiritually mature and spiritually secure in themselves. No tears flow, no jubilation over someone’s repentance or spiritual victories. It’s all kept hidden. So we go and get our “drive up window expresso cup of church” and go home. And other churches flat out don’t teach the truth neither live it. Pastors skirt around certain topics while their members live in it. It’s sad. Any suggestions?
My husband was raised Old Order Amish. We spent the first 7 years of our marriage going to church, but feeling very alone like you describe. I was raised with a dad who sat at home having "church" with himself, because no one could measure up to his standards, and he had seen alot of hypocrisy. We knew we didn't want that, so we kept going, even when it was hard. We kept looking, and trying new things here and there. Don't give up! God did, after much searching lead us to a place we call our church home. It is a body of imperfect believers who deeply love God and each other. May God guide you in your journey of finding the fellowship of like-minded saints! 🙏
Hi brother! We have sort of the opposite journey, yet similarities in sentiments about both streams of faith! We grew up Catholic and Protestant and are newly in the Anabaptist Mennonite fellowships. You’ve articulated our experience of how they are. We love it and have been so helped by it! I wonder, were you part of Mennonite Church of God in Christ? Because they’re more exclusive than other Mennonite churches from what I’ve heard, thinking they’re the one true church. The ones we’ve been to do not seem to hold this view! Maybe I could help you find a good one? The problem is the doctrine of Substitution. That’s why the Protestant church is so wordly. Also, the whole view and doctrine around works vs grace. There’s a ton of underlying error in the Protestant church that accounts for its demise. The root problem is the belief in Satan’s original lie “You can sin and not surely die. No! Jesus said “Go and sin no more.” We’re hoping to possibly start a Bible study where we settle in addition to church fellowship. Maybe you could try the Bible study/home church route! By the way, check out my boyfriend’s channel Skinski7 on YT. You may find it helpful. (:
@@wendycunningham-zi5xjyes the Church of God in Christ Mennonite or Holdeman mennonites as they’re sometimes called. John Holdeman saw what he called decay in the Old Mennonite Church and sort of got in the other ditch I believe. We have visited a Mennonite church here in our area of SW Missouri but my wife just isn’t ready to take that plunge. Reminds her too much of what we left. What is your particular Mennonite group called if you don’t mind me asking?
I absolutely love our pastor and the congregation is welcoming and kind but... We have been going to church for two years and besides Sundays and my Thursdays night bible study we have no connection. It's lonely. When I think church i think family/friends, thats not what we have found church to be. If anyone see this please pray for us.
That exactly what I experience at my church of 9 yrs. Most of the church staff including some pastors don't even speak to me... I always have to speak first...It is breaking my heart ❤
This is exactly what I mean. Surrounded by people and nice people and they call it fellowship but it really isn’t. The heart cries for something deeper, it yearns for God through others. I can find pretty much the same type of “fellowship” in any kind of public event or gathering.
tears are the truth coming out you dont have to hide emotions it good to have the same views on faith your the first person that truly connects with my throughts
It took me a while to find a church that I could stomach. God is gracious and led us to a church where the leadership is humble, full of prayer, and teach the Word of God unabashed. No "trunk-or-treat" shameful Halloween participating, no push to make nice with heretic doctrines of demons, no merchandise shop in the lobby, no smoke machines on the stage, and DO NOT TAKE AN OFFERING (shocking) yet the church still prospers because the Spirit leads the flock in this area. We send out missionaries of all kinds and support them... no mega mansions, no jets, no yachts. We know the money is doing the work of the Lord. We know the Gospel is going forth in the Earth... and I feel the Lord's presence in His house when we come together. It is truly remarkable, and I thank God for bringing us to a place where He truly dwells.
Yes, please share your church name and location. I'm so glad to hear this. I know there's no perfect church here on earth (yet) but It's nice to hear the things you are saying about where you worship.
I am a teacher of the Scriptures full time. I have taught the Scriptures for 50 years and full time since 2006. Not too many people are teaching what you are teaching, as I am sure you are well aware, but the Lord began showing me these things beginning in 2004, so I agree with much of what you are sharing, and much of what I am teaching is what you are talking about. I spend about 70 hours a week in the Scriptures studying and teaching them via devotionals, videos, songs, poems, and memes, for I am old and no longer have the responsibility of small children, so my life is dedicated to serving the Lord full time. And finding a group of followers of Christ locally who are not following the ways of this world, and who are not marketing their gatherings to the world, and who are not sold out to their traditions and culture and who are willing to search what the Scriptures teach, in context, has not yet been a reality for me where I live. And so the Lord presently has me on the internet daily being the church here, ministering to the body of Christ and them ministering to me, so this is where I find church these days. And the Lord is my shepherd/pastor.
Amen! Wow you spend a lot of time a week in the scriptures and that’s amazing! I’m part of your way of thought too. It’s basically impossible for me to find a local congregation that is more Christ centered than world centered. My “gathering together” with other believers occurs online and with others who believe at work
This has been on my heart for awhile. No church is perfect, but it is alarming how many are doing it wrong. I'm certainly not an expert on the subject, but even I can see many of these things. Many have become a place of entertainment, cliques, and business, instead of discipleship and support. The church needs to step up and build up the community for Christ around us.
I got saved about four years ago, and have yet to find a local church like the one you are describing. Though there are a lot of churches in my town. I’ve found a lot of mini megachurches with lots of people, but lacking in solid deeper biblical teaching. I’ve also found many smaller churches with a strong bent on legalism and manipulation. I desire so deeply to find a church where I can accually find true fellowship and grow in the word. Somewhere where I can accually see the fruit of the spirit coming from the people in leadership! It’s not that I expect them to be perfect but I should at least see fruit if they really are born again. I’d rather get good biblical teaching online and find fellowship with believers in other places, then to continue to be taught by loveless hypocrite pastors in a loveless “church”
Start in your own home. Invite another willing, hungry seeker of the Word of God, into your home. Study Scripture together, asking the Holy Spirit to guide you both. Pray with one another and Hod will guide you to a larger gathering place. Jesus Christ is our Good Shepherd. Begin with a small step of faith. God will do for you what you cannot🙏🏻✨🙏🏻
Most people in church today are more lost than the lost and believe they are saved but will only hear depart from me you workers of iniquity. They are on the wide road that leads to the lake of fire
I’m so proud to say my church is all of the good things you said. My pastor is a shepherd he knows our name, is involved in the lives of the members and he is a teacher as well who leaves all opinions out and just speaks scripture. Not to mention how much our church does for the individual and the community. God really blessed us in starting our faith in a Bible based church. 🙌🏿 they are out there y’all.
Are you in a small town in the Midwest? We lived in Massachusetts for 16 months 25 years ago. Went to a church for the first time there and was asked to move bc we were sitting in someone's seat where they always sat. If I wasn't already a Christian, I might have given up on anything with God. People don't know how their actions can affect ppl sometimes.
@@SusanHarrell530 oh no that’s horrible! No I’m in north Houston Texas. I was seeking God and He lead me to the church I attend. I didn’t know anything about Him when I started and I definitely wouldn’t have wanted to go back if that happened to me. My town isn’t small, but my church is kind of so it really feels more like family. We’re very blessed to have been less there.
@@LoriLightInTheWorld yes, members do give to the church. Yes, there is a coffee corner for coffee and pastries. I don’t know how much people give to the church as I don’t work in the church. I can speak to how much my church gives to the community though. Especially to my family. Food, hospital bills paid, counseling, private teachings, work opportunities and paying my husband well for them. Etc… I can only assume they are that caring to the other members as well. 💖
We do family Bible study at home and once a month the whole/extended family gathers for home church and potluck. I felt so led to walk away from the church buildings about 3 years ago after so much "show" and lights and fog and unchristian behavior towards our son with special needs. I left and have grown by leaps and bounds since. It's an awful and sad reality that the church is struggling so badly. Thank you for this video.❤
God please help us! Our church is a mess. We are told just give it some more time. I'm 65 and no change, I am so discouraged and even my husband still says don't give up. They would rather build a fancy building than be discipled
@sandramarsh2581 I will be praying over your church as well as you and your husband. It is so hard and unfortunately we are all not on the same page at the same time. Out of respect for your husband,I would continue to attend and support him but I would pray intentionally about this and study the Bible on my own as well. God will use your surrendered heart to make a difference in the lives of those around you. God bless.♥️
You are so spot on. I am grateful for all you are teaching and reminding me of what I need to do. I am grateful for excellent online resources for when I'm unable to attend in person.
What is the purpose of the church? Acts 2:42 could be considered a purpose statement for the church: “They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” According to this verse, the purposes/activities of the church should be 1) teaching biblical doctrine, 2) providing a place of fellowship for believers, 3) observing the Lord’s supper, and 4) praying. The church is to teach biblical doctrine so we can be grounded in our faith. Ephesians 4:14 tells us, “Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.” The church is to be a place of fellowship, where Christians can be devoted to one another and honor one another (Romans 12:10), instruct one another (Romans 15:14), be kind and compassionate to one another (Ephesians 4:32), encourage one another (1 Thessalonians 5:11), and most importantly, love one another (1 John 3:11). The church is to be a place where believers can observe the Lord’s Supper, remembering Christ’s death and shed blood on our behalf (1 Corinthians 11:23-26). The concept of “breaking bread” (Acts 2:42) also carries the idea of having meals together. This is another example of the church promoting fellowship. The final purpose of the church according to Acts 2:42 is prayer. The church is to be a place that promotes prayer, teaches prayer, and practices prayer. Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Another commission given to the church is proclaiming the gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8). The church is called to be faithful in sharing the gospel through word and deed. The church is to be a “lighthouse” in the community, pointing people toward our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The church is to both promote the gospel and prepare its members to proclaim the gospel (1 Peter 3:15). Some final purposes of the church are given in James 1:27: “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” The church is to be about the business of ministering to those in need. This includes not only sharing the gospel, but also providing for physical needs (food, clothing, shelter) as necessary and appropriate. The church is also to equip believers in Christ with the tools they need to overcome sin and remain free from the pollution of the world. This is done by biblical teaching and Christian fellowship. So, what is the purpose of the church? Paul gave an excellent illustration to the believers in Corinth. The church is God’s hands, mouth, and feet in this world-the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). We are to be doing the things that Jesus Christ would do if He were here physically on the earth. The church is to be “Christian,” “Christ-like,” and Christ-following.
Kathy, I understand one of Heidi’s points to be we need to individually study and memorize the Bible, so that when we go to church we can recognize true from false teachings. Be blessed, stay well, & safe. ❤
@@susanmason3432 That is true. I am blessed that God gave me the gift of discernment because memorizing isn't going to happen with this old brain. I was old when I became a Christian and older now. Blessings!
Do not forbid the fellowship is what what someone said to me in church when I said you don't have to go to church. Church should be a place people feel they are comfortable in. I'm in my church 2 years now. They accepted me but yet keep me at a arms distance. Maybe because I bring up questions the pastor can't/won't answer.
Keep at it. The Lord has you there to be salt and light. Worry not about being popular with them for very few can stand correction. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you boldness and confidence. Let your identity in Christ Jesus be all that matters. Be a pleaser of Hod, not man…even in a Church. The Lord knows we need community and He will provide as He intends. Stay the course. God is good!
@Jana-fp8qp Yes, I have heard that quoted to me as well. Church is not a place, it is the people. Some of us gather together in a place and we should all feel welcomed and loved. When you raise questions that they are uncomfortable answering or can't answer at all, yeah---you are going to feel like they are separating themselves from you. I have been down that road time and time again. I would ask God if that is really where he wants you to be. Being with other believers should never make you feel isolated, depressed, or sad. I was an elder at my church when God convicted me and I left. I wrote them a letter explaining why the departure and did not want nor need an inquisition about it. They have "let me go". Sadly, I have not even heard a "hi" or how are you doing" from any of them. That was back in May.
I quit going to church because it's about having money. Got sick of hearing about boats, vacation, eating steaks. That's not what the church is about. The church is about rich people not the poor.
Don’t give up on them, then! Pray for them! Speak with them! Teach them! We must be salt and light wherever and whenever God has chosen. I know so many younger people whom I’m very impressed with. They love the Lord and are being bold in their faith.
Unity is crucial. Our church is" growing disciples growing disciples". If you know scripture, it's relatively easy to identify false teaching. We are blessed. During a difficult time, I was surrounded by my church family. It's what we do. Thank you for speaking truth.
LOL, she's a real hoot ! 2,000 years of history, teachings, Biblical truths, all in the Holy Catholic Church, all free & readily available. Thank you for your words of encouragement. I believe I am familiar or experienced with everything you said about church. Remember the perseverance of the saints. Blessings in Christ.
I was around Protestants for most of my childhood and knew many denominations well. What I've seen in the last ten years has made me very sad for you all. I didn't really think so many of the scandalous things that have happened in your churches would have come about so often and so fast. But this is a fallen world. Praying that you all find truth, peace, faith, and consolation in a broken world, grow closer to Jesus, and grow in discipleship. God bless and keep you all.
I guess it would be nice if the word "protestant" was dropped. As a "Christian", I found myself pulled away from all of these denominations, And quite honestly, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree it grew out of. There's plenty of scandalous things within the Catholic Church. Yes, it is a fallen world, will agree with you. Truth, peace, faith, and consolation are found in Christ alone---and not in the organized religion of men.
Well said Sister. May I add another scripture? Hebrews 10:25 (NIV) “not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” I am thankful for my Small Older Ladies Sunday School class bcuz we study scripture upon scripture. I’m 61, and dearly miss the reverent sanctuary mannerisms and biblical hymns I grew up on and that led my to a saving knowledge of Christ. ❤❤❤
At the moment I am attending the church of “TH-cam “. My last church that I loved the preacher of seemed to loose it’s zeal. The sermons became more and more watered down . We have a new young pastor who will eventually take the place of our old pastor and his sermons are so light weight it’s torture to sit through. On TH-cam I can hear fabulous teachings from preachers who are not afraid to get into the meat of the Bible. I spend more time in the word now that ever before and yes I read the verses for myself to make sure what I’m hearing is what the word says. The problem is I now have no desire to be a member of a brick and mortar church.. I feel guilty for this but going to hear lame sermons with more praise songs than teaching is just torturous to me..I do however know that going to church is important and in the word and will keep seeking out a new one. I don’t expect perfection like some people, I just want preaching/teaching with some depth to it and boldness in the messages..
It is so difficult- and honestly the reason why we started an online home church. We have many that still attend local churches... but will say they stay in the online group for deep study.
I recently left a church. I wrote the pastor and told him why. He wished me well and said he considered me a friend and a brother in Christ. Months later I wrote him to stay in touch and I thanked him for being a good pastor to me. He never responded. Never again will I trust anyone, including pastors. I regret that I had ever written him and that I ever shared my heart with him. Be careful whom you trust, how much you trust them, and what you trust people with, including pastors.
A building is just a building but we are commanded to meet upon the first day of the week. This is the Lord’s day to worship as Christians together. True worship includes prayer, singing to the Lord, giving as we are prospered & remembering the death burial and resurrection of Christ in partaking of communion. Heb 10:25 not forsaking the assembly.
I feel you all. What has been shared with me is "hear something wrong, talk about it " "see something wrong talk about it " instead of just leaving. Be light in a dark place. There's a lot of sick churches out there. All the apostles travelled around while having difficult conversations in difficult places, with difficult people.
I knew you would have another video from the last because of all the comments , especially mine. I understand what you are saying. And yes, we need to congregate together to bare eachothers burdens, lift eachother up, encourage eachother and serve eachother. But i am in a position that there are no good churches in my area anymore, so i do watch some services on line and come together with fellow believers in my home and other places. There are alot of good churches out ther, but as we say there are too many false teachers, and false rules that are made in churches that dont align with scripture. We are to rightly divide the word! I listen to a pasyor who is preaching the word of God. Scripture based church, not their understanding, but God's word period. Not watered down to fit society or compromise truth to fit the new age believers! We need bible base churches. There are nit alot out there. Tahnk yiu for sharing your heart about what we need to be as fellow believers, the body of Christ. This world needs the body of Christ so badly. God bless you sister in the lord!♥️🙏
Thank you!! Praise the LORD, my husband has been trying to teach me this and I have been praying for understanding. This video has boasted my understanding. 🙌🏻🩵
Wow! Everything you have stated is exactly what the church is. For 2000 years the truth of Christ has been revealed and taught. Find a local Catholic church and you will find all of these things.
@SusanHarrell530 Online church is not even close to meeting regularly with believers face to face. We are to meet more as the day of Christ's return draws near. You can hear the Word Online, but you are missing out on the Fellowship online. If you are able, I want to encourage you to go physically to a local gathering of believers.
@@ashlieleavelle I understand. My comment was bc I'm Not able, so I at least have fellowship and pray for people in the comment section. There are several that regularly comment back and forth with me. When you're older and sick you can't always do what you'd like to do. Fortunately the Lord understands where we are at every point in our life.
I do house church usually on Saturdays with relatives at my cousin's house in Anniston Alabama. And my cousin Venus has told everyone that every other Saturday I am going to be teaching. They had multiple elders within the churches, plural pastors, teachers, evangelists, prophets, they didn't want the elders to Lord it overt the flock so it's not wise for it to be just one elder over a body of believers because that is Lording it over, if we can help it then we need multiple elders for accountability as well. So if a church has other trust worthy believers then they should have multiple shepherds (elders) of the flock.. amen 😊
😮Due to transportation issues I haven't been to a church gor 2 years & feel really isolated. Logically I should still be close to God but I'm not. Thought church would guide me to personal freedom but it never did. In the many churches I used to attend never did get discipled so here I am not knowing how to handle my isolation. I miss fellowship. The one thing I have wanted was to be taught & do the work as disciples did.
Am grateful to Pastor Brandon and Pastor Travis as well as you and your entire ministry. I look forward every day to learning true biblical truths and what I can do to serve God. God bless you and your ministry always!
Just to let you know, what you are trying to say really is coming through a lot better than you think it is. As for the many comments, I watch, and comment, knowing that each comment helps the video based on the algorithm. It also lets people reply only to what they want to reply to.
My husband and I came out of Sunday church and started going to a Sabbath (Saturday) that God Himself said right at the beginning in Genesis on the 7th day. We celebrate the Feast Days that is in Leviticus 23. It has been such a blessing to congregate with like minded people for our family. There is not one church who has it all right. If there was than Jesus wouldn't have to set things right and teach everyone the truth when He comes back. All we can do is change our ways when we see the truth in scripture and live how God says for us to live. Not to worry what others might say even in the church you go to. We are going to be held accountable for what we do in this body not what others do. Bless you for wanting to honor God with your whole heart.
What you see and hear in the church is spoken about in the New Testament. It's called "apostate". It's the separation of the sheep and the goats. I left the country club and prayed for God to lead me to His "church", His Will, His Ways. He led me to a Messianic synagogue, His Sabbath, His Feasts and Festivals, and most of all, His commandments (Matt. 28:19-20). What a difference it has made in my life. Our synagogue does all of the things you mentioned. Our rabbi is a true shepherd. He watches over his flock and is an amazing role model. God bless you, your family, and your ministry.
Hello sister in Christ! we left our church years ago, and read our bibles and worship here at home many are doing this now, thankyou for sharing. my small platform is here on youtube, I share on my page God bless you

Subscribed :)...so happy to find your channel in my backyard...(NC an hour north of Charlotte:)). I know sometimes we are shown the darkness in our respective church worshipping places because God has put us there to see the problems and make a difference in prayer and relationship ministry in that particular place, but my H and I have been in a small group with another God-inspired couple for over six years meeting in our home once a week, and we have grown consistently in the Lord. We still occasionally visit reg. churches, but our current 'church' is personally chosen teachers online (notwithstanding the wonderful teaching of the Holy Spirit), visiting when led within our communities and with our close-hearted friends. My father was a pastor since I was very young, but I chose disobedience then, and have fully been restored to the peace of Christ who lives within me. We go through the bad so we will know the difference, recognize the spiritual enemy, and learn to lean on Christ Jesus and the Father's wonderful Will for us...I really enjoyed your encouragement and sincerity :).
Church in the NT is not a “place” its actually the “people” Church is the body of Christ. If you’re not there, you’re not in the body. Yes the church is BIBLICAL and mandatory. Rebellion and pride doesn’t change this.
The Bible illustrates what the church actually is through Ephesians 2:19-22. "So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the house of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the LORD. In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit. How believers convince themselves that the gathering of the saints is unnecessary is baffling. It goes against so many verses in Scripture that remind us of who we are TOGETHER - growing "into a holy temple in the LORD." Thank you for this message!
wow i really needed to hear this. i always went to a church as a child and even as I got older i would go independently but i went to a mega church and i didn't know anything was wrong with it, people would just say it's a tv church condescendingly and i always thought well i can learn the same thing regardless or not it's on tv? but when i met my husband and we started going i started actually realizing how bad it was, thankfully he showed me. they actively bragged about you not having to bring your bible and would rarely read scripture and im 24 years old and have never read the bible. i have started recently but my church put almost no importance at all on the bible it's so weird thinking back on it. and just so many things about it so weird. like how they promise god will return your money if you tithe to them, well God never promises that in the bible so why would you make God out to be a liar if it doesn't happen?? or you just didn't donate enough or believe enough so it's your fault. lots of things along those lines. it's hard to see when that's all you know though so i'm glad i met my husband and he told me it's wrong. but i also would love to find a nice church and church community
1. Jesus and the church are one 2. The church is truth. 3. Jesus said at the last supper “As often as u do this” So when we go to church we enter into the last supper. Church is priceless
The Bible said we should fellowship but we are the church I always been told when 2 or more gathering in lord name he will be there but I have not found it in my Bible I been looking ???????
I am so glad actually I am totally burnout because of my adult severely disabled son. I don't have energy to waste on questions like this. No energy to go to any church. So glad because now I side step all the narcs with their own agendas, especially making you feel guilty about giving loads of money etc.
Western Church is a hot mess... so few even commit to reg attendance and so many have never read the Bible through one time. Praying my own passion for God's Holy Word will grow even though I have stidied it & read it for decades.
I need more fellowship with Christ followers, but I haven’t been to a building in almost a year. At least 9 months at this point. Between really limited transportation and poor quality churches in the local area. And I stepped out of a TOXIC church (some have compared to a cult and I understand why) right before. I haven’t been back to any since then.
I think that I just need a retreat - a time with only the Lord. I could be wrong, but I think He is asking - What would you believe and how would you live IF you never heard church doctrines, never read Christian books or commentaries, and never had any other human sources of teachings accumulating in you EXCEPT for The Word of God led and taught by the Spirit of God. Would you believe differently? Would you walk differently? Would you forget all you think you know and all accumulated knowledge to date, spend time with Me in My Word to you, let Me teach you, and see how if you end up the same? The time is too short not to know.
The best thing to do.. to be honest... go back to the Early Christians in the 1st century.. how did they live and worship.. there's SO MUCH information available. Seek and ye shall find!!!!!
But how do we know the early Christians got everything right? In the Bible weren’t the apostles writing letters to them and teaching them to stop doing this and stop doing that? They were just learning how to be Christians, so they couldn’t have done everything right, you know?
What a title. Church simply is a place to go thank God for the life we have an when we are die a new eternal life we pray for. Church is not a social gathering to just see people
Hi Sister - thank you for your videos! Newer Christian here...We are new to the state of Texas and our church, and I have questions I cannot get out of my heart. I am waiting on confirmation. But I may already have received it and just need to step out in faith. Our church puts great emphasis on the tithe and pass around an offering bucket. It is a small church that is a part of a bigger church in Austin. The pastor and his wife did make an effort to meet with us in our home which was nice, but there is no real connection there. Also, they have a questionnaire for their potential ministry partners and one of the questions to check "yes" or no" was "Have you been baptized in the Holy sort by proof of tongues?" and I felt so sad. Because that is so limiting the Spirit of God. There are also a lot of sick people and addicted in the church, yet we have not laid hands on these people. I do not want to have a critical spirit, but it just feels kind of lost. I feel in my heart we are supposed to be out pounding the pavement as t he hands and feet of Jesus, but I am not finding that here.
The Lord has placed you there “for such a time as this”. Shine His light and pray for them and YOU make suggestions on the laying on of hands. You fast and pray and ask the Holy Spirit to use you. He will!!! God uses ALL; especially those who belong to Him. We must go into the dark places and shine the Light of Christ on them! Even “churches” are lost. Go, make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. You are not required to sign anything you don’t agree with. That’s a perfect opportunity to speak truth to the pastor. Let no one intimidate you for the Holy Spirit is your teacher. You are qualified by the Holy Spirit whom you received immediately when you ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. Be bold! The Lord will give you the words and the courage to be salt and light…especially in Church.
The bible said we should fellowship with people of pure hearts, when my family was in a particular church years back. My husband and I thought God has planted us there for a purpose, but when we began to pray about it, the Most High asked us to leave. If you don't move out of the spiritual toxic church, you'll be angry or be like them. You can start praying for a gathering that has the same unity of faith in Holiness, righteousness and the fear of God.
We recently have started going to a Church , I was telling my husband earlier that I am struggling with "fitting in". Please pray for me in that area. Prior to going to this church we were worshipping online (different church). We both knew we wanted to worship in person and start meeting fellow Believers. It has only been 5 weeks, so we will see where the Lord leads us.
I have a friend who travels in her camper/home and ministers to people all over. She finds MANY believers who've quit attending their churches recently.
Dont forsake the gathering of yourselves, the body (the church) together in fellowship, prayer and encoragement. Weve all been given spiritual gifts we are supposed to use not only in the world but also in the body of Christ. If your looking for the perfect Church you'll never find it. And if you do dont go inside because it'll no longer be perfect🤔
Thanks be to God.! I asked Gid last night if there were other christisns that have a revelation or even have read what the church is. Hallelujah! There are chariots of fire. God bless you and fsmily. Please pray for me to walk in this revelation and finding others to be able to enter into the fellowship of the Father and His son with others. The building is not where we enter into true fellowship. I have missed it.
Attending a Bible believing church is what you should do if you are physically able. Hebrews 10:25. There is no perfect church until Christ returns to reign and we are transformed but we should seek a Bible believing church, assemble, be accountable to one another and church authority and encourage one another. To purposely forsake church is disobeying God’s word.
Christ commands us to worship in person, but the home church was the original church organization. Charismatic worshhip is not biblical. They are experiencing an emotional expetience , not a spiritual worship experience.
Hi, i 've been resently listenin to few of your videos, i am a catolic from europe. Few of your videos made me think, that you are searcing for the true church, not just some variation of it. In this video, your words obout unity made a point. we all brothers should unite in ONE church. the first one that Crist made. I am not saying, that catolic church is perfect! it is not, because dark is fighting against it, but. Jesus said that it will not pass. ❤ from a sister in Christ.
We do appreciate you and understand why many would think that is the answer- but we would certainly not align with Catholicism. What Christ made were the believers that followed Him- He did not "make the Catholic church" as the false teachings rooted in it do not align with His words. I'm thankful if the Lord will use what we share to edify ANY believers, regardless of background- but we will certainly stand firm against the system of Catholicism. And I do NOT mean that in any way against you, I say this with the utmost love- but there is a big difference between the teachings of that system, and scriptural truth. www.gotquestions.org/catholicism.html
I am sure, if we started this debate, we wouldn't be first and wouldn't come to the roots. ( i lookt at link you provided and think it. is not the best answer and is waay to poor in explanations about our Church) but I understand your view, and what you and I have been tought differently. I think that in the end our Lord will embrace us all in his mercy and love, all of us who are trying to follow him in truth and simple loving hearts. I hope so, love❤ P.
Yes, be the church! We are the body of Christ Jesus! The family of God! Thank you for all the Scripture’s. It is written in 2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. God bless you! Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus! To God be the glory!!🙏
A word of caution about “TH-camrs”, since we can not see them the Word of God working in their lives, please off and don’t take everything they say. We had a pastor who preached the truth but when it came to living what he felt for us it was not him; he ran away with another woman married at age 75 years old leaving his damaged wife behind. And yes, he is a Christian.
there is something I am not sure what to think about but I kind of don't enjoy women's bible study. Not because I don't like bible study but I guess I'd like to study a book of scripture without someone else's workbook and questions. Like studying revelations to consider and talk about what the book was written to be not how it is for character building or something like that. I don't know if I am wrong or not but it just doesn't appeal.
Loved this video and your last one. What a great reminder. Food for Thought!! Thank you for sharing on this important topic. Blessings to you and family,.
Our church biblical, remember we can't be as the 1st century. Do not keep yourself from assembly. So we need to be the church always. I'm so glad we are a church that doesn't do the club church thing. I came out of the club thing and found a great assembly.
This is a maturity of our faith journey , I went through this year's ago as well, God's timing of teaching us is real for each one of His children. ❤❤ I think it needs to be said that it's not the Anerican system it's global and God is using it for His purposes to grow us up in Him! So thankful that each generation picking up on this truth , Spirit led❤❤ hallelujah 🙌 🙏 praise God!! Thanks for sharing your insightful growth with others!
Pointing out false teachers / teachings is essential. But, it is good to do it because you have tasted the good things of God that only come through the Truth, and you have a real burning desire for others to enjoy the awesomeness of friendship with God. That is the major difference between holiness and Pharisaical, dead religion. It sounds like that is what you are getting at, and I'm with you all the way on that!
Actually if you read how Jesus sent out his ministers it was without pay or homes. Show me a "pastor, minister" who is willing to do it all for no money and it isn't a way to "make a living" and I will believe that they are really in it for the betterment of the "Church".
The brain surgeon analogy is good. I still don't trust most professionals just from a degree. I have known too many medical professionals personally, that I watched fail miserably in medschool and got pushed along due to identity politics and such. Similarly, I am working on my trust with church leaders. I do see that it's vital to not lean on my own understanding. At this time, I work on listening to my husband, even though it's hard because I grew up reading the Bible and he didn't. But he's been a passionate student and it surprises me how much he does know off the top of his head. I want a stronger church community in person mostly for my children. But my worries for my children are the main reason we haven't tried harder to find that. 🙈 With a special needs child we are very protective of, and living in SoCal if all places... But I would love to find one that's NOT big on antics and entertainment. The word IS entertainment (and way more obviously). The thing that impassions my heart about church is learning new perspective to the word, strengthing my knowledge, and being potentially able to help others as well. In prayer or physical help or whatever. This video is very encouraging and I feel grateful 🌻✨🧡
I am very encouraged that blind leaders only lead the blind. True believers will never follow false teachers. Jesus said so. So, why confront them? Easy. Because living for Jesus is far more pleasurable in greater purity.
Hello, thank you for your ministry, for speaking truth! I recently was touch by a Holly Spirit !!! I leave my best for Lord, but after He touched me, i was changed, I am so confident in His word and I am strongly standing for it! I want to help my family and Russia to seek Him and give there lifes to the Lord. I do what I can do. But I need your help, please. In this video you said that you work with many pastors all over the world? Can you please share the TH-cam channel of Russian speaking pastor. I will be so appreciated your help! Victoria
I thankful I stumbled across this channel. I haven’t been to a church building for many years. Praise Yahweh, I have grown more spiritually without it. We are still looking for a local church. Pray if it’s Yahwehs will we find one. We live in northern Utah. Yahweh has impressed on me for it not to be a 5013c. It’s definitely difficult. Pray for us.
Thanks it seems so more stressful to try go to church sadly anymore. But you have littles you need find a church. What do you do with your tithes if you don’t believe in the church!!
There are good preachers/pastors out there, hopefully close to you, but if not you can find one on internet. Then you should look for like minded people you can gather with. There are a lot of churches, but only a small amount are speaking God's word if a preacher/pastor does not teach from GOD'S word RUN!
We as parents are the ones responsible for teaching our children about Christ. Not the church. You can find fellowship with other believers outside of church as well. And there are tons of ministries outside of churches you can tithe too.
Keep it coming, be strong and courageous and may Yahweh bless you and your family…Love your video!
@@melissaculpepper7663 Hey, Just checked your channel. Much better quality than mine by far! Why did you stop making content on TH-cam?
Believers do include your own family
I'm so grateful that I found your channel. I lost my mom back in 2015. It was so hard on me. I went to church when she was very sick. And I spent a lot of time crying. I actually had the Minister from this church, telling me that it has come to his attention about my crying and being upset. He told me to not cry anymore. That hurt so much. I know Yahweh counts our tears. I've shed many through the years. Thank you so much for all you do through scriptures. Blessings
May the LORD continue to comfort and hold you close as you continue to seek Him and pour your heart out to Him. He is close to the brokenhearted.

Thank you so much for saying that. I really needed it. ❤️
when my dad passed I skipped church a lot becuase it was always so peppy and upbeat and I thought this is not comforting but also its not real life. Nobody is 'onfire' all their christian life. @@madelineeverritt8874
Try a catholic church. It's 8very different than mainstream protestantism🎉
The only requirement for salvation...John 3:16
Your cliques will not save you!!
@@joannajoyhelmuth7286 what church/denomination is it? If you don’t mind revealing that…
No! Jesus said “Go and sin no more.”
We’re hoping to possibly start a Bible study where we settle in addition to church fellowship.
So true!! My experience also!
I've been told to "eat the meat and spit out the bones"... But the Word of God HAS NO BONES. In order to see error, one must first know Truth.
I absolutely love our pastor and the congregation is welcoming and kind but... We have been going to church for two years and besides Sundays and my Thursdays night bible study we have no connection. It's lonely. When I think church i think family/friends, thats not what we have found church to be. If anyone see this please pray for us.
Been there! 🙏
The number one problem with churches today is "ME", not thee.
tears are the truth coming out you dont have to hide emotions it good to have the same views on faith your the first person that truly connects with my throughts
Wow I hope to find a church like this
That's wonderful!! Where is this church located?
Yes, please share your church name and location. I'm so glad to hear this. I know there's no perfect church here on earth (yet) but It's nice to hear the things you are saying about where you worship.

Is the name of the church?
@@melissaculpepper7663 Wow great advice! Thank you so much 🙏💜💜

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Another commission given to the church is proclaiming the gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8).
Blessings!
Wow, this is amazing!!! May I copy and send to a friend?? So cool ❤
@@cenavisch8888 Of course. It's not mine. I copied it from 'Got Questions.' I love that site and copy a lot from it.
Got Questions is the best- we highly recommend it!!! Thanks for sharing Kathy!
Well that's the wrong church. Surely they're not all like that.
Sadly the younger generation has been taught so many lies so many wrong things it’s heartbreaking!
Amen- exactly as it should be! XO
LOL, she's a real hoot ! 2,000 years of history, teachings, Biblical truths, all in the Holy Catholic Church, all free & readily available. Literally Billions of human lives given to save , preserve, and transmit the teachings of Christ from generation to generation. The Time Ships of Cathedrals built out of solid stone to provide REAL security for protection of people & of holy scripture, for HUNDREDS of years. But yes, she's completely right about Matthew 18:20.
Amen! Thank you for saying it Heidi!!! It needed to be said and we (born again, believing Christians)need to be DOING this!
Church is just a social gathering, they have their cliques. Church is not a requirement for salvation. John 3:16 simple as that!
That means JWs, Mormons, heck anybody, that reads that passage is saved. 🤷🏽♂
not forsaking the assembling of Ourselves together as the manner of some is but exhorting one another and so much the more as ye see the day Approaching ( Hebrews 10:25 )

Thank you for your words of encouragement. I believe I am familiar or experienced with everything you said about church. Remember the perseverance of the saints. Blessings in Christ.
Mathew 18, whenever two or more are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Bless you! I have longed for a home church for years. Thank you for the encouragement!
Am Catholic. I go Mass each week for worship and especially the body and blood of my Lord Jesus Christ. As it say in scripture.
My husband & I really gleaned so much, then came to find out everyone it were Calvanist or "Reformed"🤦🏻♀️😩
Im 69 i miss that too its hard to find a church like that my pastor is a good pastor but they rarely play old songs and the music is loud
that's right we're not perfect try to help l like the truth to
At the moment I am attending the church of “TH-cam “.
✝️WE ARE THE CHURCH, BRIDE HALLELUYAH 🕎
The word of God says to congregate. I will continue to do that. there will always be deception, our Job is to remain vigilant and focused in Christ.
Those of us sick and homebound can "congregate" in a good online church. We have brothers and sisters in Christ on Tom's and others. 🙏❤🙏
This has also been heavy on my heart too. The emphasis on money and perfection is so saddening.
It really is.. Satan has had a field day within the professing church... thankfully the Lord always has a faithful remnant! 🙏🏼
It's absolutely disgusting 😢 🙏
Church is a place where people learn about what other did for God. How many times do you need to hear about the walls of Jericho falling?
Jesus Christ is the Church.... never turn away from Jesus....

❤😊 praise Yah! Shalom 🙏🏼
Amen- yep, it certainly is! 🙏🏼📖

Yes even though you give your tithes these churches pick and choose who to help in time of need. Not fair...
True
Tithe is not for us. You don’t have to give to a congregation. Giving to a homeless person honors God if you do it to honor Him.
Amen sister! Great clarification thank you ❤
Church in the NT is not a “place” its actually the “people”
Church is the body of Christ.
It goes against so many verses in Scripture that remind us of who we are TOGETHER - growing "into a holy temple in the LORD."
Thank you for this message!
I am so happy to hear your explanation of the word. I don’t know if you are a pastor or not but you used it fabulously.
wow i really needed to hear this. i always went to a church as a child and even as I got older i would go independently but i went to a mega church and i didn't know anything was wrong with it, people would just say it's a tv church condescendingly and i always thought well i can learn the same thing regardless or not it's on tv? but when i met my husband and we started going i started actually realizing how bad it was, thankfully he showed me. they actively bragged about you not having to bring your bible and would rarely read scripture and im 24 years old and have never read the bible. i have started recently but my church put almost no importance at all on the bible it's so weird thinking back on it. and just so many things about it so weird. like how they promise god will return your money if you tithe to them, well God never promises that in the bible so why would you make God out to be a liar if it doesn't happen?? or you just didn't donate enough or believe enough so it's your fault. lots of things along those lines. it's hard to see when that's all you know though so i'm glad i met my husband and he told me it's wrong. but i also would love to find a nice church and church community
AMEN!!!!WELL SPOKEN BY A HOLY GHOST LED SISTER!!!
Jesus said we were to make disciples. The evangelism is only the beginning, as important as that is, it is not the end goal.
1. Jesus and the church are one
2. The church is truth.
3. Jesus said at the last supper
“As often as u do this”
So when we go to church we enter into the last supper. Church is priceless
The Bible said we should fellowship but we are the church I always been told when 2 or more gathering in lord name he will be there but I have not found it in my Bible I been looking ???????
just like God will you can't stop severing him because want teach he gave this to go into the world to do it's a blessing amen
I love your thoughts about the church.please pray for me thanks
Amen
But how do we know the early Christians got everything right? In the Bible weren’t the apostles writing letters to them and teaching them to stop doing this and stop doing that? They were just learning how to be Christians, so they couldn’t have done everything right, you know?
I'm not a woman. However, I have enjoyed many of your videos.
Amen you got it!!
I've quit going to church because there's nothing there any more
Unfortunately, that is the case for the most part… 😔
Yep all the righteous have left. Nothing but sinners remain. 😢
Amen- but that doesn't mean we have to partake in "churches" void of sound doctrine. It's definitely a difficult road today!
Loved that video!
They are experiencing an emotional expetience , not a spiritual worship experience.
the bible talks about they might not support you in your faith because it is your faith
It is written in 2 Timothy 2:15
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Aaah but is he?
That's the worst!
there is something I am not sure what to think about but I kind of don't enjoy women's bible study. Not because I don't like bible study but I guess I'd like to study a book of scripture without someone else's workbook and questions. Like studying revelations to consider and talk about what the book was written to be not how it is for character building or something like that. I don't know if I am wrong or not but it just doesn't appeal.
You are not wrong. I’m starting a women’s Bible study at my house starting with the book of Ephesians
I think it needs to be said that it's not the Anerican system it's global and God is using it for His purposes to grow us up in Him!
I don’t go to church anymore.
I am very encouraged that blind leaders only lead the blind. True believers will never follow false teachers. Jesus said so. So, why confront them? Easy. Because living for Jesus is far more pleasurable in greater purity.
Church is for 2 things: worship God and fellowship with other believers!

Pray in the Name of Jesus Christ to place you where He wants you to be. When we seek Jesus with all of our heart, we will find Him.
we are the temple of God so we can work on our temple to believe
