I also don't celebrate Christmas and everyone thinks I'm strange. So glad to have found other like-minded people. If only more people would have the courage to stand up and be different. We can (and should) celebrate Christ every day.

I have been feeling convicted of worldly existence in my life. Churches participating in trunk or treats, Christmas, the Easter bunny. I have been trying to let go and it's not easy when your family and freinds see things different. I feel people pulling away from my life but, I also know God is with me and changing me. God bless you and your family and so happy to have found your channel.

Why on Earth do you have to pull away from a CHRISTIAN holiday like Christmas? That makes ZERO sense. Unless you believe the lies that were told to you it was bad and evil and you should not celebrate it. Yet, for centuries it was the opposite. Sadly Jews started all of this, as they do not want to be reminded of Jesus and therefore created all of these secular replacements for him. You know, Santa Claus, Elves, Reindeers, Snowmen, etc. Anything and everything to take our eyes off of Jesus. Did you know they also wrote most of the current "Christmas" songs played all over the radio too? Yep, all to replace Jesus. It is why I only listen to Christmas songs that celebrate Jesus like Joy to the world, Away in a manger, Mary's boy child, Oh holy night, silent night, The first noel, Do you hear what I hear, Gloria, Go tell it on the mountain, Happy birthday Jesus, Hark the herald, Mary did ya know, O come all ye faithful, What child is this, to name a few. Silver bells, Rudolf the red nosed reindeer, Let it snow, Santa baby, I'm dreaming of a white Christmas etc., do not make the list.

In history Dec 25 is a pagan holiday and to control the evil and sin the church declared it as the birth of Jesus.
Saint Nicholas is a man who gave of himself to represent the giving to Christ.
It is not up to a building to teach this it is up to the head of your house to teach this.
Most people do not study the truth they study what they have heard.

Please consider that Dec 25 is the birth of the sun god. My eyes began to be opened when a friend of mine explained how in Iran they celebrate the birth of Mirthra on Dec. 25th. There are many names for the sun god around the world, to commemorate the birth of the sun when the days started to be longer. How does God feel about us humans putting his birthday on another god's birthday? Well, we can know what God is thinking when we read the Bible. In the Old Testament God told the Israelites when they take over the land he was giving them to not worship Him the way the pagans worship their gods. Don't use pagan altars to worship Him. Don't do any of the pagan traditions to worship Him. In Ezekiel God showed how the priests were performing pagan rituals in God's temple. This was true evil. Not trying to condemn, here. Just please think about this. Do you really believe that men 'changed the Bible' so so that mixing the profane and the Holy is acceptable to God? Prayers. @@aspieangel1988

Then everything you said became so obvious to me that I decided I’d never put up a tree or have any talk about Santa Claus. But my mom and sister are HUGE on gifts and I still go with the flow, always feeling wrong about it, and complaining about stressing over what gifts to buy for everybody. THANK YOU! 🙏 As silly as it sounds, it’s as if you gave me permission to tell both of them that my family won’t be participating this year… 🙏… guilt free… Thank you for posting. God bless you 🙏❤️

Good for you! I didin't even consider all this until my children were grown, then my story is exactly as hers. It made me cringe; I could not, in good conscience, celebrate anymore. Of course I still celebrate Jesus--every day and certainly every week in worship at church too, but I refuse to cover something evil with the Savior's story. My grown children and even in-laws think I'm so weird now to toss Christmas, but they do not desire the truth the way my husband and I do. If I could do over, if I had known better, I would raise my children without Christmas, but I never questioned the "tradition."

Honestly it's not that big of a deal. Obviously the media has taken it and ran with it so we can spend lots more money. Aunt companies can profit from it but it's not that big a deal. Just a time to put up a pretty tree in the house and have a fun day. You don't have to spend a whole lot of money on tons of gifts. Buy one or two gifts. It's just cool to have a pretty tree in the house and just another excuse to do something fun. But sure if you feel like it's taking over things more deeply than it should cut it out. Cut everything out that's that's not useful. Cut out too much. Ice cream cut out too much drinking whichever the case may be. God bless. Have a great day

I think the Father was giving my husband and I grace with a gradual waking up. We were together 5 years before saved (a week apart) and we never had a great Christmas as a family until then. But we did love that first Christmas a ton - ignorance is bliss. 😂 But over the past 6 years we became more and more uncomfortable with it, simultaneously learning how much isn't related at all to Jesus.
This last year I learned Jesus was most likely born during Sukkot so we tried to celebrate then, in a way that doesn't have any Paegan junk we know of. An EXTRA celebration of his days here as a human for us.
But it was a very small celebration. We already were trying to have our first Sukkot and had other chaos.
This is our first year not having a "Christmas". We are blessed out children don't care about Santa etc. I did as a child and was hurt when I learned the truth. Then as an adult I realized how super creepy it is. Lol
Our first child has a birthday in late DEC and we do plan to still celebrate. So it'll be nice not to have back-to-back craziness. 😂 Also it's not nearly as big as Passover for us. And we DO celebrate like crazy, we talk the sacrifices and the solemnness that I do think is real, then the end is the celebration of Jesus' conquering death. I have a piñata of the tomb TBH. 😅 I don't see a reason not to. We put stickers and stuff like that in it. And we do presents. Talking about how none of it compares to the real gift of eternal life with Jesus. ❤

Celebrating Hannakuh is going backward. We're not supposed to celebrate Jewish holidays and traditions. One is a Jew not on the inside through birth or circumcision of the flesh. One is a Jew on the inside by faith and circumcision of the heart. But we are to put away traditions the Jews held to. We are a new creation in Christ.

I once read a comment from someone which said that if Christmas was truly about Christ, the world wouldn’t celebrate it. It has nothing to do with Him or his birth (Jeremiah 10). The times we are to observe we are told we don’t need to as it’s the law and we are now under grace. May God help us.

Yeshua warned us about God wanting us to worship him in Spirit and truth, he also warned us about false prophets, Apostles and teachers that teach false doctrines, His true Apostles warned us too about the doctrines of demons, well God the father and Yeshua warned us against taking part in pagan practices and rituals , that the pagans do to please their gods . The Lord says that they are an abomination to Him! Apostle Peter say that false gods are demons! That's why we need to take heed to the warnings of our Lord Yeshua Mashiach (Jesus Christ) And his Apostles and really study his word because also false doctrines of demons have got into the Church and it is spreading like wildfire, word of faith movement, NAR movement are teaching New Age teachings and putting a Jesus sticker over it! They have another Jesus, another Gospel and another spirit and the real Jesus, Gospel and holy spirit of the bible, its heartbreaking 💔 🙏 study like the bereans did and they even searched the scriptures daily to see what Apostle Paul was saying was so , an Apostle apointed by Christ himself, pray humbley and earnestly, pray for those that have fallen away from the truth that they once believed, Yeshua and his Apostles warned us to not be decieved. There is so much deception in the Church now and the Lord said it would get worse before his return God bless you 🙏

I am so happy to hear of not only your conviction but obedience to the Lord. I am also sorry that you are alone in this. She did a wonderful job speaking through the idolatry but the second part is that we do know now (as the disciples did for the first 300 years after Yeshua was resurrected) that Jesus/Yeshua was born during the feast of tabernacles. John says that the word became flesh and tabernacled among us. We also know that Jesus was born during the fall which is exactly when he was born. There are ALOT of Christian’s who now know and actually celebrate this feast that falls usually end of September or beginning of October. It’s a wonderful time of year where we go and camp out for a week and celebrate through word and worship and fellowship with one another. If you’d like to learn more I really like David Pawsons sermons on it or the best is Michael Rood who has sermons on TH-cam or wrote the chronological gospels which will open your mind to so much.
If you have any questions let me know and again, god bless you for following God when you are a bit alone in this. I’m happy to speak with you or answer any questions.

I've been asking lots of questions too and this year I donated all things Christmas. This morning, coming home from church on Christmas Eve, my husband was asking when are we supposed to celebrate Jesus' birthday if not the 25th of Dec. I know the Bible doesn't give us a clue but like I heard someone say the other day on a video, Israel in late December is much too cold for the shepherds to have sheep out in the field at night so they don't think it was Dec. either. We never really did the presents anyway so that's no big deal cause we buy gifts all thru the year for each other and other people. I don't really have anyone to talk with about all this cause the few people I mentioned it to, looked at me like I had 2 heads or something! Yes, it's a pagan tradition that we and many generations before us just followed along with and never questioned it.

I'm sorry if I didn't make myself clear. No, it's not a sin to celebrate Jesus birth or any day for that matter. And we do give gifts to others all thru the year and a few kids of friends at Christmas. We just don't go overboard with all the celebrating like in the past. I try to spend my days focusing on Jesus and what He wants from me. That's to serve others also and I do that when I see a need.

Amen I agree that it's a reason why for hundreds of years people observed this holiday without a question but now more of us who aren't Jehovah's witness , as they used to be the only ones that didn't celebrate, are waing up to this. God showed me it broke his heart because it was a pagan holiday that I was observing and that means that a demon so called god instructed someone of specific way to worship that diety on that day and clearly that demon ibstruxted that whole civilizatiob of what to do and was worshipped in multiple places becaee its a holiday observed world wide. It's like doing yoga if you think about it. It's a specific set of instructions given to observe a particular diety and God isn't happy about that.

Sounds like you fell victim to bad teaching brother. I bet you celebrate your own birthday. Or those of your family? And if you have children, I am certain that you do that too. It is all good. So, why in the name of Jesus would you not celebrate his? Saying because they didn't 2 thousand years ago is not a good example. None of them flew in airplanes, drove cars, had air conditioning, kept their food cold, had indoor plumbing and used toilet paper either. Simply saying the Bible doesn't tell us to do something is not how to go through life brother. Does the Bible tell you NOT to celebrate birthdays? If so, then by all means don't. It doesn't, so we get to choose what we want to do ourselves. I suggest you read 1 Corinthians chapter 8 and consider Christmas instead of meat sacrificed unto idols. It should help you. It did me.

I stopped engaging in the standard Christmas traditions long ago. Instead, my son and I save up money to make care packages for the homeless and go around and give them out on Dec. 25th. We get to sit and converse about the true gift of Jesus with ppl living on the streets. This year we were invited to spend the 24th and 25th with our future in-laws and I had to have a difficult conversation with my son's fiance about my convictions. Her parents decided to do their gift exchange before my son and I arrive and on the 25th we would all be assembling the care packages and distributing them together. All glory be to God.

I get what you are saying about the commercialization of Christmas I have not had a tree in 4 years. Problem for me is that it does get the Good News of the coming of Jesus out to the world. If we take Christmas totally off of the calendar, we have basically removed the willingness of "the world" to recognize Jesus as Savior ...even in a small way.

I hear what you're saying...but Christians should not be banking their witness solely on the holiday. If the only time of year we're publicly professing Christ/the Gospel is on Christmas, that's incredibly weak. The pagans are always quick to point out that Jesus wasn't born on Dec 25th, and now we have wars about using the word "Christmas" and the banning of nativity displays. Yes, sometimes that's the only time of year to get unsaved family members to attend church. But most Christmas programs deliver only "feel good" messages so people will come away from it feeling all warm and fuzzy. Church on Christmas Eve is reduced to a "tradition". Granted God can work with that. But can't we do better?

I don’t know any Christians who celebrate the biblical feasts so I wouldn’t know how to even get started. Plus my husband is the spiritual leader of the household and doesn’t seem to feel as conflicted about this stuff as I do 😢 not sure what to do besides trying to continue focusing on Christ during these holidays, simplify my schedule as much as possible to minimize burnout, and pray that the Lord one day puts it on my husbands heart to maybe change our traditions to truly glorify God.

Most people who convert to Catholicism don't want to be Catholic until they realize that it is true, and then they become Catholic and do it with zeal.
But if you are looking for Christians who focus on the Christ part of the holiday then that is all you will get at a Catholic Church.
If you can find a Latin Mass Church rather than an English Mass even better. Latin Mass Catholics are less worldly than the other Catholics. And overall take their faith more seriously.

I never was a Christian but the story and watching others helped me in my heart of sanctification. I’m teaching the Jesse tree this season celebrating the lineage of Jesus. Use this time to teach and not divide. I love your channel! Just wanted to share Christmas is a celebration filled with a knowledge of and love for the Son of God. We simply cannot honor God in our Christmas celebrations if they are not directly attached to joy in the real attributes of Jesus. Advent exists for the very purpose of focusing our minds in exactly these types of things so that Christmas can be the celebration of them. Christmas is the good news that Jesus, God’s Son has come to dwell among us because of the love of God for us.

I enjoy the season as another that the Lord gave us. I believe he gave it to us for a time of coziness and taking the rest we can get. We have a birthday in our family so we will do that- and perhaps talk on Jan 1 about Mary's conception and what that means for having faith, Jesus was a human right when conceived etc. Since Jan 1 would be pretty likely if Jesus was born during Sukkot. But we try to keep major celebration to the holy days. We do do presents during Sukkot; and even more so during the end of Passover for the Resurrection. 🌈✨🕊️🌿
For Sukkot we made a fort in the living room but I'd love to do a full on Sukkah next year if we aren't participating with others.
Instead of halloween we just did a very subtle day learning about the Reformation and Martin Luther. Had some fun as a family with cookies and watching movies. It was our first not going out, the costumes etc. I asked my kids if they even wanted costumes for just in general play-pretend or to DIY fun outfits, we didn't but it sprung on me we could do that anytime!

Historical evidence shows that Dec. 25th began to be associated with paganism at the celebration for the birth of Sol Invictus which only started in 274AD with Aurelian. The Christians were already celebrating Christmas on Dec. 25th long before this.
William J. Tighe, professor of history stated: "The pagan festival of the "Birth of the unconquered Sun" instituted by the Roman Emporer Aurelian on December 25th 274 was almost certainly an attempt to create a pagan alternative to a date that was ALREADY of some significance to Roman Christians. Thus the "Pagan origins of Christmas" is a myth without historical substance."
Aurelian saw Christianity still firm even after long persecution, so he tried another way to fight it.
We have many historical records regarding Christian Christmas celebration on Dec. 25th long before 274AD.
      Here are some examples:
      1.Hippolytus in: Commentary on Daniel(204AD).
      2. Abba Demitrius in :The Coptic Didoscalia Apostolorum(189AD).
      3.Irenaeus in:Adversus Haereses(180AD).
      4. Telesporus in: Liber Pontifical is(126AD).
      5. Records in: Apostolic Constitution (70AD).
Around 204, St. Hippolytus of Rome wrote that “the first advent of our Lord in the flesh, when he was born in Bethlehem, was eight days before the Kalends of January, the fourth day [i.e., Wednesday], while Augustus was in his forty-second year” (i.e., 3 or 2 B.C.) (Commentary on Daniel 4:23:3). The Kalends was the first day of the month, and eight days before January 1 is December 25.
This is the earliest record we have of Jesus’ birth being December 25. It precedes by seventy years the time the Emperor Aurelian made Sol Invictus a Roman cult, and it precedes by 150 years the earliest claimed reference to Sol Invictus being celebrated on December 25-that claim being based on the Chronography of A.D. 354.
Part 12 of the Chronography, which is a calendar of the commemoration of martyrs, lists the following: “Eight days before the Kalends of January: Birth of Christ in Bethlehem of Judea.
In 386, St. John Chrysostom preached a homily on December 20-the memorial of St. Philogonius-in which he noted that “the day of Christ’s birth in the flesh” is about to arrive in “a period of five days,” or on December 25 (On the Incomprehensible Nature of God 6:23, 30).
Finally, around 408, St. Augustine writes that “according to tradition he [Jesus] was born on December 25” (The Trinity 4:5).

Also some say Christ fulfilled Sukkot by being born in Sukkot because of John 1:14(the word "dwelt" in Greek is "tabernacled"), well Chanukkah often falls over Dec. 25th and is known as a winter Sukkot.
But...because we have the Apocrypha (old Jewish writings including history though not Scripture) we have Maccabees 1 & 2. In there it's noted that Chanukkah (which often encapulses Dec. 25 in it's 8 day duration)was considered a "winter Sukkot":

      www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/2829847/jewish/The-Chanukah-Sukkot-Connection.htm
According to Pope Benedict XVI, the first person to clearly assign Christmas to its current feast day was St. Hippolytus of Rome.5 In his Commentary on Daniel, which was written c. 204 a.d., St. Hippolytus wrote: “For the first advent of our Lord in the flesh, when he was born in Bethlehem, was December 25th, a Wednesday, while Augustus was in his forty-second year, but from Adam, five thousand and five hundred years.”6 Writing roughly 150 years before any known records which designate December 25th as Natalis Invicti, Hippolytus gives no mention of the Roman feast.

I was more inclined to be a peacemaker rather than acting how i know God has commanded. I've truly committed to reading (well, I i listen to it on an app, because that works better for me) the entire Bible. As I learn more, and change my behavior and speech, I find myself truly giving it to God. My husband has definitely been resistant at times, and like you said, has said some mean things, but I see them rooted in his fears. His childhood was essentially Godless, and I am trying to be as God intends (as a broken sinner, of course). I see his heart softening, but I've let go of trying to influence outcomes. That is up to God's plan. I love him, and he is a good husband and wonderful father. I continue to pray for the Holy Spirit to fill him, and I stay focused on my relationship with Jesus. Blessings to all of you in your journeys with Christ in our broken world.❤

We celebrate the birth of Jesus, as well as Thanksgiving, Passover, Hannukah, Palm Sunday AND Resurrection Sunday. (As missionaries in the Middle East, Sunrise Service was HUGE and many people could only come to worship Jesus corporately and celebrate His Resurrection before having to go to work...there were literally 100s of people who gave their testimonies and were baptized those mornings! What AMAZING work God did! - And, yes, discipleship was thorough PRIOR to their baptisms as well as following...they were fully "vetted"!) We also teach about the other Levitical feasts (though we don't actually build an outdoor shelter for Sukkot, etc). I LOVE the weekly Advent remembrances of Jesus and every decoration on our tree has meaning for us with clear testimony to the life and sacrifice of Jesus...and we LOVE sharing the story of St, Nicolas...the GIVING to those in need (not self-indulgence)... as well as St. Valentine's letters of encouragement, etc. Do we give gifts? Yes. Do we have a tree? Yes. and do we celebrate JESUS? Yes!
Christmas Eve is the ONLY time that some of our family, who have "deconstructed" their faith, willingly come to Candlelight service with us...which is why we look for a church that understands and gives a meaningful presentation of the prophetic fulfillment of His first coming...and the eternal significance of His death, burial and resurrection. Does most of the world misuse this season? Yes! But we don't throw out the opportunities of the season just because the world misses the point! USE it to proclaim the Good News and stop being so "pious" that you miss amazing opportunities to share Jesus!!! USE EVERY OPPORTUNITY to share JESUS with those around us that are blindly on their way to hell! Just sayin

I Completely agree with you Heidi, Christmas has become a time of spending, decorating, worshiping something else other than Jesus, now it is in the stores 2 months before Christmas comes, it's all about making money, it's not about something holy and sacred. My husband celebrates Christmas, and he will never ask me to stop celebrating. We don't celebrate or worship santa (satan). In this season, I tried to honor the Lord as I do every day. Amen sister, the scriptures tell us that we have to be renewed in our mind. It is truly a renewing of the mind by the Holy Spirit to let go of the things that we are so use to doing. I started asking myself the questions about the exchange for the Lord's holy days for the holidays that are celebrated. I have started looking into (not finish yet)where and why did all these changes take place, totally removing the heritage of our faith. Calling His holy days Jewish holidays when scripture say that they are His holy days. Lord bless you and your family.

There are 7 in all and some are are shadows of what came to pass but their are still some that have not passed yet. Day of trumpets is his return and In scripture it does say to remember Passover and what he did for us on the cross. Sukkot will also still be celebrated in the millennium. None of these save us but they are all beautiful because in each of them it gives the full gospel message. The new covenant did not do away with the law what it did do away with was death by the law. We could not keep the law perfectly so Christ shed is blood to pay for us so one day we could spend eternity with him. The law is written on our hearts and everyone has it. Ray comfort an evangelist is able to give the gospel and reach many by bringing up the 10 commandments. @@irisdavis3680 thank you! We've been here for 3 weeks now and to my surprise the host family that we are from and their extended family do not worship Christmas. In fact, i havent been around a group of faithful, and uplifting Christians (in a REAL sacraficial way) in I dont know how long! What we had leaving the states was churchianity. I am so convicted that i was even a part of that!! First, unbeknownst to us, this family gave up their finished home and started to build another cabana to live in with their kids, because they believed that God said to help us come down here. They give of what they dont have themselves out of obedience. They give up of their comforts to serve others. Their countenance is just pure joy in the Lord. Everything is "Dios primero!" (God first!) They do not have all of the things that we think we need back home and they truly live! Honestly I can go on and on, and I hate to be harsh, but what I've experienced in churchianity back home is detestable now to me. I don't even know how to explain the contrast. But believe me we need to step out of that Matrix and it doesn't mean that you have to leave the country but it does mean you need to get out of that system and really fall to the ground on our faces before the Lord in repentance.🥺

I went though this about 20 years ago. I brought Christmas back into our life in different ways and I'm so happy with it now. For me it was too many events, gatherings, parties being busy. Then I hated the decorating and putting it all away. And to know the history that it's not really about Jesus just ruined it all for me. So for years I just didn't bother. Then a few years ago, I started missing it. And I found in my heart and mind I totally separate Jesus from all the other stuff. Decorating my house is to make it cozy and pretty for winter. Christmas trees originated in Germany and I'm half German so it's more of an ancestor thing for me. But separating my faith and celebrating Jesus through the year and then just doing some fun decorating for us totally works. I'm at peace where I am now. I still don't do parties and gatherings. We go to church every Sunday but Christmas eve service is packed so we stopped doing that years ago.

We gave up Christmas about 5 years ago, and then followed by not celebrating any of the holidays on the calendar. Our families still struggle with our decision, but we celebrate His life, death, and resurrection everyday instead once a year. Understanding how these holidays were established was the final piece I needed to make the break from all the deeply routed traditions. It has made me feel so free and liberated. Our family still struggles with our decisions, but we take a yearly vacation at Thanksgiving, and we are busy at Christmas. We focus on our ministry with the homeless and all that God has commanded instead of what man has demanded. God Bless you in your obedience!!

Anything can be taken to extreme. I will still celebrate Christmas in honor of Jesus. Theres nothing wrong with putting up a tree to enjoy some beauty if you want to. I agree with not emphasizing Santa or oresents. We taught our children that Santa was a representation of the real man St. Nicholas who gave to others. They still knew Christmas was about Jesus.
Some of my best memories as a child were cutting down a tree and all my aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents getting together.

Satan is the biggest liar and deceiver and wants to pull ypu further away from God, and he does that by making things seem very appealing to us.

@lauragreen4899 God doesn't say in the bible for us to celebrate Christmas. His disciples never celebrated it. It is a pagan festival and is rooted spiritually in evil, which means if you participate in it, your opening spiritual doors for the enemy to come into your life, which will cause you harm in some way.
Also anything that's pagan is against God and therefore not honouring towards him.

      *Jeremiah 10:1-5*
1 Hear the word which the Lord speaks unto you, O house of Israel:
      2 thus says the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven;
for the heathen are dismayed at them.
3 For the CUSTOMS of the people are VAIN: for one cuts a TREE out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe.
4 They DECK (decorate) it with SILVER and with GOLD; they FASTEN it with NAILS and with HAMMERS, that it MOVE NOT (sounds like a tree to me).
5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not. They must needs be borne (carried), because they cannot go (walk). Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good.
Sounds like Jeremiah 10 is describing a PAGAN practice performed on trees similar to practices performed on Christmas trees. Ask yourself this question, did Christians originate the idea the practices of the celebration of Christmas? If you did your research on the roots of the mistletoe, wreath, leaving cookies & milk for Santa dressed in RED (Close to the name Satan. No such thing as coincidence), etc nearly every practice you do on Christmas is a pagan practice dressed up in the name of Christianity.
      *2 Corinthians 6:17*
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
Begin your research on paganism's view on trees in relation to fertility. Do further research on the date December 25th in relation to paganism.

Also I know not of any Christian celebrating Christmas who worships their tree. That's quite a comical thought. 😂
I never mentioned anything about santa, that were you my friend. I said if one chooses to set a day aside to uplift the birth of The Lord Jesus then there is NOTHING wrong or sinful about that.
I would also like you to consider that if it weren't for the celebrating of Christmas then the majority of the secular world wouldn't know who The Lord Jesus was.

    • @masculinevisionary7965
      @masculinevisionary7965 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Okay, unforeseen events took place that caused me to be a day late in my response.
You said, *It's interesting that you would quote that verse which is OBVIOUSLY talking about making an IDOL and comparing it to a Christmas tree. That's a bit of a stretch*
You're right about one thing in that statement, it's obvious that scriptural quote is talking about making an IDOL. Now let's get into the "stretching" & "comedy" in all of this idol worship.
Correct me if I'm wrong, rituals/practices are "performed" In order to worship something or someone. Rituals/practices are performed when celebrating Christmas right or wrong? Now tell me something @gospelbaptist, which ritual/practice do you perform on Christmas as a Christian is original from any other pagan ritual/practice? Chopping down a tree with an "axe" then decorating that same tree with silver & gold? Not according to *Jeremiah 10:3-4* (Authorized King James Version)
3 For the CUSTOMS of the people are VAIN (self-serving/pointless): for one cuts a TREE out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe (What's stretchy is interpreting that last line as a craftsman CARVING out an idol from the tree. Umm ... Who uses an AXE to carve out ANYTHING?)
4 They DECK (decorate) it with SILVER and with GOLD; they FASTEN it with NAILS and with HAMMERS, that it MOVE NOT (Hmmm ... those rituals/practices don't seem too ORIGINAL from pagan rituals/practices in worshiping their false gods.)
So, when you said, *Also I know not of any Christian celebrating Christmas who worships their tree. That's quite a comical thought* 😂
Welp, if you're performing the SAME rituals/practices on the tree that the pagans performed to worship their god/idol (the tree), then yes, you & many Christians are IGNORANTLY worshiping the tree. But you & many Christians are no longer ignorant to the reasons behind the opposition towards Christmas celebration. A celebration that was once illegal in this country. So now you'll be held responsible for what you know.
You said you never mentioned anything about Santa. I don't see in my original comment where I accused you of bringing up Santa. Santa was brought up to make a point. If God exists (and He does exist) then coincidence doesn't exist. Santa/Satan come on now. Suicides (death) are at its HIGHEST during the Christmas season. DEATH reigns during the celebration of Christ's BIRTH? Remember, coincidence does not exist.
And regarding your last statement, the "majority" of the secular world still rejects Jesus, & celebrates Christmas for the lights, glitz, glamour, gifts, & family gathering. Now family gathering in itself isn't a bad thing. But gathering as a family to perform pagan practices to "honor" Jesus ain't it.
I don't have any issues with celebrating Jesus' birth. Just take out the paganism from your celebration.

Sometimes "loving the things in the world" can be so subtle we hardly even notice. You are convincing how we should carefully discern our beliefs and actions. The Feasts of LORD that we celebrate are found in Leviticus 23. My family stopped the Christmas stuff about 23 years ago. It seems to me that because it is so cold in winter it's human nature to want to warm up and be cozy, and "Christmas" grew into all those cozy conditions. I was Catholic til I was 20, Baptist 32 yrs.... and Messianic Christian ever since. I think you've done an excellent job sharing your insights, and exhorting all of us who love GOD and know Messiah to pray and follow Him to the best of our understanding and Biblical knowledge. You are an Exhorter and Encourager. Praise the LORD!

I gave up Christmas & Easter last year after listening Tom Bradford of Torah Class. I've always suspected something was out of place with it.

I would truly love to hear more. I have felt this almost a betrayal sort of feeling celebrating Christmas as our Savior's birth. I just happened to come across this video, and it hit home

Preach Girl! We need to worship God the way he wants to be worshiped and not the way the world has chosen to worship him!

God showed me this many years ago along with many other things "church people" do such as the one-man-pastor system that is not biblical. I am a former Catholic, my eyes were opened to all the practices in the church that dishonor God and elevate men above God and above others. The Holy Spirit is our teacher, we do not follow a system or men, we follow Christ.

The Holy Spirit, convicted my heart, but He shared the TRUTH. I had quite, a collection of Christmas items and it was difficult releasing my collection of items. I tryly wanted to be obedient to the Holy Spirit. Gone and not one bit of regret!
Christmas was extremely stressful! FREEDOM and time to truly worship my Lord.❤

The Christmas season is what YOU make it to be. One family reads Luke 2 and goes to church to celebrate the Christ Child. Another obsesses over worldly trappings. The choice is yours! You don't have to throw out the baby with the bath water. Whatever you do, do it with all of your heart, UNTO THE LORD and NOT unto men. As for me and my house, we will celebrate Christ during Christmas.

EXACTLY! 💯 percent! I needed this confirmation because the witchcraft associated with this time and the demons oppressing me, are trying to lure me back into Christmas, but the truth is that it’s not all for Christ and I need to be guided back to the TRUTH, the WAY, the LIFE!

Right! We are not of the world! How we celebrate should look different!

I’m so grateful for your channel; I just found it today… I was feeling a little weird because this year is the first year I decided not to celebrate Christmas and you helped me to understand more why I was feeling so yucky about the pagan idolatry of today… God bless you and you family
