It’s ironic how I hate playing against Blue, but when there’s no Blue and someone does something crazy and no one can stop it then I miss Blue immensely.
I mean all that shows is how weird it is that only blue gets counter spells. I don't think any other class of spells that is so essentially to interaction is so hard locked in a colour. Removal is black and white, ramp is green, white and colourless, burn is red and black, draw is black and red, board wipes are red, white and black and so on. But no counter spells are only blue. Because reasons.
And the most valuable card....is Charles massive cajhones, without those, the cracking led play to stop Mike from winning the previous turn would not have occurred
So I can see where Charles had an open mana source and the potential to combo, but honestly I don't see how he was the biggest threat in the moment over Mike who clearly had more resources and combo pieces on hand.
Side note for future, if Gitrog is able to go up to 8 cards during his turn, then when he moves to endstep before moving to discard, silence has it's delayed "until end of turn" trigger and if you happen to get darkmor in your hand you can do the endstep sculpt into emergence zone or an instant speed win even thru a silence.
Generally only Tymna and Ishai get recognition as being good with Jeska as cEDH. I personally think that Dargo pairs pretty well with Jeska too, you can potentially kill a player to commander damage on Turn 2 as well as have access to some infinite combos.
I think Noah should have cast Joraga Treespeaker on turn 1 instead of Birds of Paradise. By turn 3 when he's casting Gitrog, Joraga on turn 1 makes 1 more mana in total than his actual play. So, if he drew a 2 cmc discard outlet he could cast it where he couldn't cast it by playing Birds on turn 1.
Not related question to ryan - i bought the same playmat through the foglio kickstarter and it came out extremely low res with the image a big strechted. Did yours came out the same way?
I really hope Wotc revisits Madness innthe future. The mechanic is cool but the cards madness cost was what its normal cost should have been and its normal cost is WAY to high to be useful l.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think any other gameplay element present in every set is like that. It is a very odd choice. Let's be honest would white or blue white really be to kuch if white got spells like Quench? Like it is the tax colour why shouldn't it say to an opponent, pay or you can't have it. While for blue it makes no sense flavour wise considering how even the most trash hard counters like cancel are flavoured.

I gotta disagree, that Silence should have been the MVP. If he hadn't have had it in hand or been able to cast it Gitrog would have most likely won that turn.
It’s not primarily combo driven unlike other teshar decks. It still wins with combo, but does so only after a stax plan has been implemented. There are very few non combo decks in Cedh.

just make sure there isn't only one Blue player or someone else has Red Elemental Blast or Pyroblast to keep the Blue player in check I'd say~

I agree, I really dislike cEDH without blue. It just isn't as satisfying when none of the decks have a way to stop others from winning
I used to dislike blue but after playing and seeing it played, saving tables, it is becoming my fav colour

Mike really represents what a cedh game is, on 2nd turn he had already casted 9 spells, drew 18 cards and lost 25 life.
I'm very surpised he played necro and not ad nauseam, and also that he didn't just win the next turn.

this game had some exceptional plays. The LED play, Peer for 1, etc. Really fun to watch.

Yeah, idk why he grabbed bazaar without a dredger, if he had grabbed a fetch with crop rot it might even have been enough for the sculpt

There’s also a version of Jund which has Jeska/Ikra partner combination, the deck is really good and has different combo lines

in cedh combo is always the win con. The deck however is a stacks style deck not a strict artifact combo deck. Hope that helps.
