This mod actually makes the Dungeon Guardian easier; It has no iFrames meaning you can do substantially more damage and theres no downside since DG instant kills you anyway
I've been using Spike Balls in vanilla for years, they are very good and very underrated, they can be scattered on the bridge for the WoF fight, thrown at the ground during invasions to get offscreen kills and chip down every enemy, used in arenas with platforms to essentially put an almost permanent and strong DoT effect on the bosses, truly an amazing weapon for pre hardmode especially considering you a lot of them for free and they are not that expensive anyway
I kinda wanted to see how well the Death Sickle does, but I guess farming the eclipse would be hell. EDIT: Apparently the projectile can only hit thrice. The more you know
The jungle increases spawn rates, so i would recommend getting peace candles, calming potions and invisibility potions since all of those decrease mob spawns

I'm not surprised that Life Drain was completely busted, although I am surprised it didn't get used more. The Vile Shard is strong thanks to infinite pierce, but the Life Drain has that as well, combined with higher damage, AoE, and significantly longer range. I would say it's more useful than the Harp as well, since while the Harp has higher damage, Life Drain is significantly easier to aim, and that makes it extremely useful in a mod where a single miss can get you killed.
I thought a lot of the work was done by vile shard, and he took out life drain just as it was almost about to die anyway (like, maybe had 1/10 of its health left?)
the most effective way to play this mod is actually summoning, with summons having to have their own s in place to stop making them too OP. imagine what what kind of damage Raven staff or Finch staff does if the bird just sticks around a little bit. if only they could work properly...

im actually trying this for a playthrough and the brain of confusion is actually invaluable - the dodge chance is basically boosted tenfold by the lack of I-frames and its saved me on numerous occasions it effectively allows you to be in that state of being hit by enemies for a lot longer so its easier to escape and survive a hit also, spears are BROKEN in this mod
@@reCatalogue an angry dandelion does over a thousand damage, a green slime can deal over 500, a crawltipede can dead over 1300 (more than a dungeon guardian) a giant tortoise, solar flare and star cell can all deal over or close to a thousand damage, although, pinky only does 70, making it the least damaging enemy in for the worthy (In journey mode post-golem I think)
a tip for dealing with mobs in a plantera arena, if you have terraspark boots/lava waders you can line the floor with lava so nothing can spawn and add walls to the side so nothing other than the vine creepers can come from the outside!
Wouldn't the inferno fork from the dungeon be quite good with this mod? Big explosion that does tons of damage, would likely shred any semi-stationary enemies like the cultist or golem
The butchers machete(?) is a boomerang, but its twist is that it doesn’t automatically return to you, it instead falls to the ground and comes back to you.
Do they? Im pretty sure they just have separate I-frames from other forms of damage. It is why imp was so bad cause it would eat up regular hits with its hits.
This reminds me of Revengeance mode from MGR. There, enemies can clown on you in just a couple of hits, but counter-attacks do insane amounts of damage. It's the same game of who strikes first.
Also the fact that clamity is based upon ideas of mgr. Similar type of music, health bar is a literal rip, and the everlasting painful boss battles. Also Jetstream sam and murasama.
This was pretty interesting, and it reminded me of this weird glitch that was happening after I installed WAY too many mods. It did... Exactly what this video is all about. It removed immunity frames from weapons, including Calamity and Thorium (in fact, I THINK one of those two was having an odd interaction with other mods, causing the problem in the first place).
Now hear me out… Butcher’s Chainsaw. Close range, good damage and a bit of pierce with a constant hit box to work similarly to Vile thorn, super good. However, melee is basically a death sentence with this mod :/
You should add Lighting Essentials Mod which gives the whole game a revamp on lighting. Grass glows during night and ores too when exposed to light. Give a whole new atmosphere for the game and keeps it pretty.

This is the difference that makes you one of my fav terraria content creators, you actually make these a challenge, instead of some who just make the game easier without any downsides and call it a "challenge"
Can you try this mod with other mods like calamity, thorium, or fargo? It would be interesting to see the other types of strategies you would have to come up with in order to defeat the bosses.
From personal experience.... there's basically no difficulty as it's even more busted with most mods' toolsets. Like both Calamity and Thorium have really early on infinite-pierce power weapons that just scale throughout the entire game, and Fargo's has what I like to call "the aura of death" accessory combos available. It's even more funny with some of the more niche mods, like clicker class, shadows, etc. and UTTERLY BROKEN with DBZ Terraria. (DBZ Terraria already has a major balance issue with any beam weapon, this just makes it a complete joke where you just basically kamehameha everything into instant death.)
i played this mod and discovered that when you throw the enchanted boomerang and it starts to come back, it has no knockback. So if you throw it behind an enemy it basically one shots much more often.
With this mod, skeletron effectively becomes the dungeon guardian with arms.

This was pretty interesting, and it reminded me of this weird glitch that was happening after I installed WAY too many mods. It did... Exactly what this video is all about. It removed immunity frames from weapons, including Calamity and Thorium (in fact, I THINK one of those two was having an odd interaction with other mods, causing the problem in the first place).
If you're doing this challenge as Ranger:
- Jester Arrows and Meteor Bullets are overpowered
Meteor bullets stay the same, they can only hit twice max

Close range, good damage and a bit of pierce with a constant hit box to work similarly to Vile thorn, super good. However, melee is basically a death sentence with this mod :/
Not to mention the sparks EVERY HIT…

You should add Lighting Essentials Mod which gives the whole game a revamp on lighting. Grass glows during night and ores too when exposed to light. Give a whole new atmosphere for the game and keeps it pretty.

I feel like jester arrows with stormbow would be pretty op cuz of the piercing
their damage scales down extremely quickly the more times they hit, even if you manage to hit a single enemy more than thrice (which would be pretty hard already considering they're faster than normal arrows) you'd just deal one or two damage to the enemy
Calamity adds some scary weapons. Most of I think would benefit MASSIVELY from this.

This is the difference that makes you one of my fav terraria content creators, you actually make these a challenge, instead of some who just make the game easier without any downsides and call it a "challenge"

Can you try this mod with other mods like calamity, thorium, or fargo? It would be interesting to see the other types of strategies you would have to come up with in order to defeat the bosses.
From personal experience.... there's basically no difficulty as it's even more busted with most mods' toolsets.
Like both Calamity and Thorium have really early on infinite-pierce power weapons that just scale throughout the entire game, and Fargo's has what I like to call "the aura of death" accessory combos available.
It's even more funny with some of the more niche mods, like clicker class, shadows, etc. and UTTERLY BROKEN with DBZ Terraria. (DBZ Terraria already has a major balance issue with any beam weapon, this just makes it a complete joke where you just basically kamehameha everything into instant death.)
For the plantera arena, even with the summons not working, the sanguine staff would be good to kill enemies while building
Demon scythe would be nuts with this.

i played this mod and discovered that when you throw the enchanted boomerang and it starts to come back, it has no knockback. So if you throw it behind an enemy it basically one shots much more often.
