I DON'T HAVE MOTION SICKNESS WHILE TRAVELLING. I GET IT FROM PLAYING 1ST PERSON GAMES OR SHOOTING GAMES SOMETIMES RACING GAMES, BUT COMFORTABLE PLAYING STRATEGY GAMES FOR HOURS
Im the same has you .. i cant play 1st person games and racing games .. i just play 3rd person games .. nothing worse than feeling sick over a game .. my kids play cod fourtnite ect i just wont look at the screen lol
Minecraft triggers it so badly for me. Within 20 minutes I’m sweating and feeling so sick it’s unreal. Just like the uploader it takes me hours to recover.
If you disable view bobbing it helps massively, i can play for hours non stop, and i don't use fullscreen, use windowed with a smaller window and put your FOV to 80 or 90
@@martepacheco3423somehow still wont help me at all. Ive tried everything, even playing at 1200px still wont fix it. And weirdly, only minecraft do this to me. Im olaying dirt rally with a steering wheel cockpit mode and fine for 7 hours but 20min of minecraft im almost dead
Play games with top down view like Diablo 4 or Baldur's Gate 3. Real time strategy games like Starcraft2 should be ok too. Just avoid first person shooters.
I get pretty sick playing first person games when they are voxel based or low poly (minecraft and thief gold for example), but what really messes me up is fast moving backgrounds on still stages (like some versions of final destination in smash).
I have motion sickness like anywhere in the backseat while traveling looking at my phone when moving in a car but most of all i get it when playing minecraft
This used to be when playing COD back in the day, but now it seems to be fine. The reason why I'm here is because playing Transformers War for Cybertron has made me feel drowsy to the point where I need to lay down 😮💨
In my opinion the reason tight fov is more likely to cause motion sickness is because it's closer to the actual fov you would get if you were looking at the world through your monitor screen. This is why in racing games you want to use smaller fov values, so you can judge the distances better. Good video btw.
I believe it's a combination of fov and different light rendering techniques in games for me anyway. Because i can play pretty much anything, fps, flight fps, 3rd person action games. But...some games will get me sick as hell, cold sweats and nauseous.
It's weird. I seem to suffer from this only when playing some Source engine games. I used to play Battlefield 1 for hours on end on my ps4, but my first playthrough of Half Life 2 on PC lasted ten minutes before I suffered the worst nausea I've ever experienced. Took me like an hour before I recovered fully.
For me its different, i can play fps games on pc(mouse and keyboard) all day long and i dont get any motion sickness but if i play fps on console( controllers) i cant even get through 10 minutes without getting nauseous
I get really bad motion sickness playing almost every FPS game, started with half life 2 on PC when it came out. I have a Pavlovian response now whereby if I even hear the music or sound effects from that game I feel nauseous. Randomly enough though, I can go on the fastest, spinniest theme park rides for hours with absolutely no ill effects...
I have played so many games but never have i felt this until i played "far cry new dawn" just after Playing this game for 10 to 15 mints i feel like i am gonna throw up and it kind a blows my mind that a game can make me feel sick ... 🤧🤧🤧
I got motion sickness while watching videos mostly vlogs when the person recording it moves the camera a lot😢😵💫 Like, even just for 2 minutes of it will make me felt nauseous for hours😢
I can play cs2, valorant, l4d2 just fine for many hours straight but 10min into other non shooting first person game will make my head dizzy for 2 whole days
I can play tpp games like Witcher, rdr2, eldenring, Assassins creed or forza forever and nothing happens. BUT whenever i try to play 1st person game i cannot look at the screen more than 10 min
This happens to me when I play DayZ for more then 2 hours I start to feel weird and my head feels dizzy and feel like imma puke so I get off the Xbox for a few hours or just take a few pills to make it go away. Other than that it’s a fun killer. No fun.
i cant play 1st person games because it makes me feel sick and confused,, il stick to the old 3rd person games .. did the mistakes of trying to play call of dutys doom ect ect .. next thing im in the toilet being sick .. same goes for vids on youtube vloggers ect when they got the gopro omg i get it then the sickly feeling
first person POV game give me intense motion sickness, which is why I can never play any of the shooting game like call of duty or even puzzle game like infinifactory. So I'm stuck playing turn base RPG, puzzle, idle and gacha games.
I started to feel sick ever since I first played "high on life" I wanted to throw up. And now I feel sick when i play "Atomic Heart" and its because of FOV
I heard many people praising that game so I too want to try it but can't because Minecraft is the only game that gives me nausea. 2d games and other 3d games are perfectly fine
I suffer from this almost everytime I play a survival/farm type game. (slime rancher, Minecraft and Fortnite Lego mode to name a few) I feel lightheaded and feel like I will throw up, I am recently experiencing this on Pokémon scarlet and violet and it’s so annoying cuz I love Pokémon so much. The games never made me feel like this before, but ever since the new DLC came out (the indigo disk), trying to shiny hunt the starters has been a huge pain because I feel light headed everytime I wanna shiny hunt them .
I feel your pain because I have recently experiencing motion sickness in new games as well :( and some of them are games that I really want to play, and I can't even play for 5 minutes. It just sucks, and I have been searching for videos to help me fix this in the settings. My most recent problem is because I'm not playing on my Playstation anymore, and switching to my laptop has been crazyy, maybe it is the screen size or the fact that everything looks 1000 times better, but I will keep searching for a solution u.u
Not sure if i'm the only one but my friend saying i'm weird for being able to play warframe for hours while can't even handle an hour in fps game like valorant or apex cuz warframe have a lot of mobility to navigate around the map I usually answer their question with warframe isn't fps game, it's a tps(third person shooter) game, so theoretically i won't get as much motion sickness from it Not sure how it works for other people, so I kinda wanna know what other people takes on this
ive had more than 3k hours on warframe and can play val/overwatch 2 for days straight w no motion sickness . but cyberpunk got me dizzy as hell i had to use a crossbair that doesnt disappear to keep focus on it and tweak game files to increase fov to 120 and its kinda less pain for me
Wide field of views make me actually feel sick due to how unnaturally things curve on the sides in the field of view. Very narrow FOVs can give me a headache of feel dizzy. It is very hard to find the sweet spot where it is acceptable to my brain.
Have you ever tried a hand-held console, like the Steam Deck (or the others)? It could be an option for you - the smaller screen size will make it so that the game isn't covering such a big part of your FOV, thus potentially making it easier for the brain to process the mixed signals. If you don't know anyone with a Steam Deck/Ally/other hand held you could borrow, your phone + the Steam Link app + a controller is everything you need to test the form factor. Hope this helps!
Huh really? I've played that game for long periods but it doesn't make me suffer from motion sickness at all, The games that actually makes me sick are hl2 and l4d2 and payday 2
I DON'T HAVE MOTION SICKNESS WHILE TRAVELLING.

same here
The same problem here found no solution but stop playing first person games, i just go for strategy games

I just bought a gaming pc after a long time and I'm totally fucked I can't look at the screen more then 10 minutes it's so frustrating
Right?! Like I literally have to stop playing and I wanna play soo bad it sucks. 😢

Exercise
I just bought a ps5 and i cant play it for more than 30 min without feeling nauseous for the next two days :(
i actually like how quick u can explain these topics
I get pretty sick playing first person games when they are voxel based or low poly (minecraft and thief gold for example), but what really messes me up is fast moving backgrounds on still stages (like some versions of final destination in smash).
Same, I just played Thief Gold and I could not think properly and feel dizzy.
Sometime you can reduce the resolution and window the game. Size is reduced but you get less dizzy.
I have motion sickness like anywhere in the backseat while traveling looking at my phone when moving in a car but most of all i get it when playing minecraft
i remember playing Half life and feeling dizzy after 15-20 min. but playing CS totally fine for 10+ hrs straight.
I loved the way you explained those topics! Subscribed.
thanks for addressing this, unless someone doesn't have it they will never know
why do i feel motion sickness everytime i play first person video games on pc?
Same here, i had to stop playing fps all together 😢
I can't play COD + Farlight 84
@@neongaming3196 every COD games including psp, ps4 modern warfare, black oops all makes me sick literally. I can't even stay put playing 10 minutes

im certainly sure that some settings in games triger motion sickness

The reason why I'm here is because playing Transformers War for Cybertron has made me feel drowsy to the point where I need to lay down 😮💨

played minecraft for a couple hours and slept for about 12 hours after that....most tired ive been in like ever
Spiderman is owning me. it's a really good game but the building swinging lol
take motion blur off. it helped me.
I play for 5 mins and cost me like 10 hours to recover😢
I believe it's a combination of fov and different light rendering techniques in games for me anyway. Because i can play pretty much anything, fps, flight fps, 3rd person action games.
But...some games will get me sick as hell, cold sweats and nauseous.
I have motion sicknes with the exact game list you mentioned.

For me resident evil 2 or 3 remake is fine
But resident evil 4 remake or 7 start to make me feel motion sickness terribly
Started RE 2 yesterday and I felt very bad very quickly
Im gonna try the methods, good video, streinght to the point!

Far cry 6 is the king of motion sickness for me.
i just threw up after watching my brother playing Arc. it was only 5 mins of watching.🤕
I started to feel sick ever since I first played "high on life" I wanted to throw up. And now I feel sick when i play "Atomic Heart" and its because of FOV
This happens to me a lot when I play Minecraft so im definitely gonna try changing the FOV to see if that helps me out😌👌 Thanks👌
Hope it will work and you'll be able to enjoy gaming for longer sessions! If possible, let us know how it goes. 😁 Thanks!
