Tick stage 1 t56 with bungs and sprayers and micropolishing - $5,000 $21,000ish We've also done ceramic tint, added a spoiler, and added a diff brace that creates a fourth mount to the subframe. But I love her.
New subscriber and so glad I found your channel! It's nice to see someone knowledgeable as yourself that doesn't mind working his ass off to do the job correctly. You my friend are a pleasure to watch! This series on the Cadillac has been nothing short of amazing what a man can do if he doesn't mind working!! Beautiful damn car!
Dude, I gotta tell ya….you are killing it! Much respect from this old car guy. I have been watching your vids for the past couple of days. They make me wanna get up off my old fat butt and get out in my garage and do something. I like the way you do your vids. Not a bunch of self promotion, “cool guy” lingo, or shout outs. You are all business. I learn a lot. Keep it up.
Perfect fitment and with all these neon cars driving down the road it sure is refreshing to see a unique classy color combo from the glossy factory paint and those rims
I own a 2006 CTS Sport Luxury with 87K. It looksmlike new and drive great. I'm not trying to compare it with your CTS-V, of course, but my Caddy is a preasure and a blast to drive. It corners amazingly flat an the 24 valve V6 provides nice power. The look is timeless to me and i always get comments from strangers. Anyone who is unfamiliar with the first gen CTS performance models has no idea of just what they're missing out on. Your 2005 would be my dream car if I were to own it's twin. Just fantastic!
GM actually makes a plug and play infotainment system updated display and everything for those and the c6. And 💯 agree needs mgw short throw...love your channel keep up the solid work!!!!
Great content. I love my Cadillac. I’ve always had them since I was in high school. First car I had was a gift from my grandmother 1987 saville and been hooked since. Then I got a 1995 Seville big body! And I took a break for a minute since parts and labor can be a bit pricey. And now I’m older with better job, I have a 2020 Cadillac CTs and I absolutely remember why I love Cadillac. This car is a dream. It run’s amazing and quick for just being a 2.0 turbo.
First off man, congrats on getting her so cheap, she sounds amazing. A-mazing dude. I'm kind of sad that electric cars are going to be all that we can buy soon. If you didn't get a chance to see the new Dodge electric Charger clip with it's fake exhaust noise, please check it out. It sounds like a pregnant cat. World of difference between an actual 5.7L V8 engine lol.
Wow 6k for a V that is amazing, you are blessed. Keep up the good work Chris, you're killing it!! I didn't even know this car came in stealth grey, GG bro! 🔥
Love the break down videos. Would love to see this more for other projects. Plus maybe a video about how much profit you make once it’s done. Either way.. keep up the great work!
Double click the interior lock button and it should lock while on. If you're going to install a short shifter, change the end link to the trans as well, it'll feel much better.
I search for deals like that good find for a car that didnt need alot. When i graduated highschool in 06 there was a few of us that were car guys we all had trans am's and camaros. I had a 98 z28, but the cts v was like the talk everyone man i want one of those. But late 90's and early 2000's were i think the last of all the cool cars. You had all the jdm, the muscle man those were the days
Just found ur channel today.....the caddy brought ur channel to my attention....I also have a 06 CTS.... absolutely love the driving performance.....and ya have to admit...the car has an amazing stance to it...thanks for ur videos
Bad ass man!! Loved this series with the cts v, by far my favorite color and favorite car! Have fun and enjoy it! I have an 07 Escalade currently and love it, it has its issues but it’s also one of my favorite vehicles, I had an 03 cts and that’s where my love for Cadillac started!
New sub! Went back and watched the series on this car. Awesome you brought it back to life. I'll also go back watch the your previous videos on the other car's you built.
Still can't believe I found this channel on a whim... or by RPM posting about you... can't remember now but the first video I watched was the WOT box (still need to save to get mine) and gotta say, will be a long time sub for sure. Great content.
You have a beautiful car they finally addressed the interior problem it's not as nice as a European sports sedan but its a big leap forward compared to where it came from i have a Ats-v and it has the seude recaro seats and carbon fiber package everything can be controlled from the steering wheel i had a cts like that and was very disappointed with the interior but a freaking fun car to drive sounded amazing too the Ats-v is more nimble than the cts-v and puts the power d 11:11 own better!
Awesome job. Things beautiful. I have a 03 cts. Been lookin for a 1st gen cts v in the fl area and hard to find, especially in good shape. Theres a 2006 cts-v RWD locally for $22k 75k miles. Hell of a find. He'll of a job in the build
Sweet car man! Had mine for 10 years now, trust me it’s a love hate relationship lol My car is a 2006 and mine does have the volume and skip buttons on the steering wheel! Keep it up with the great videos!
Chris, Love everything to do with the CTSV all videos were great that’s what made me a subscriber to your channel. Question how did you go about polishing the instrument cluster lens? I got a few pieces I would like to polish with the same results.. keep up the great work…
Great series! I'm thinking of buying one here shortly. Did you ever get around to fix the clunk noise from the differential? I know these are notorious for the differential problems.
The financials are beyond awesome. For real, phenomenal. Your ability to turn a wrench has evolved into your ability to provide, in a big way…. How many hours labor was this?
Been a ford guy for life but always had a soft spot for a V. Prices on the gen 1s are far below a cobra or gt500 thinking about scooping one up next year. Little more useable than a coupe ford that’s insanely expensive to mod and fix.
Great work on the ctsv caddy brotha!!! She sounds and looks amazing ! You do clean work! I hope to get as good as you at restoration 360* on a car. I am trying to find a cts v from 2004-2008 eta for about 10k or less. Your videos are very informative and I like the Choice In music and very good film work on zoom ins and angles ! 😎🤙🏼🔥
I really don't like that generation of cts, but the "v" option looks better than the 6 cylinder, but I'm still not a fan, gen 2's and newer are far and away better looking. That said, you did nice on this car, I'd drive it!
05 V1 owner here. Currently needing valve cover, head and lower exhaust manifold gaskets to hopefully combat an overheating issue. Any recommendations on where to go for all that?
Wow good deal I paid $10,000 for the same car with 30,000 miles on it but it needed some work more work than you have to put into that car but I love it it was a great deal
DAM IM ENVIOUS! SICK RIDE BUT SUPER SICK INVESTMENT!! ITS ONLY GOING TO BE WORTH MORE EACH YEAR! CONGRATS! WHERE DID YOU PICK UP YOUR MECHANICAL SKILLS? ARE YOU AS MECHANIC?
Love this car if not for the exhaust I would consider it a sleeper. Searched for one of these for a while hard to find any CTS without half a dozen check engine lights on always intimidated by that but they are good-looking cars if nothing else.
I have a 2nd gen CTS base and was wanting to add some of the factory options that it could have came with like remote starter, directional headlights, rainsense, navigation, etc. Do I need a scan tool to "wake up" those new modules in the car? Can this Autel do that? Was looking at the Topdon Phoenix but it is twice as expensive.
eye on the details..from your garage..tools..to the projects..always taking care of the smallest details..much respect..and envy..the Caddy is a killer..
Its Caddi. A Caddy is a carrier of golf clubs. ;)
Not just the cheapest, but easily one of the best looking 1st gen V's still out there! Good job!
Bought mine July '20 for $12k
RPM level 5 t56 $4,000
Four months later when second gear fragged thus destroying other internals... Tick stage 1 t56 with bungs and sprayers and micropolishing - $5,000
$21,000ish
We've also done ceramic tint, added a spoiler, and added a diff brace that creates a fourth mount to the subframe.

This is the car that brought me to your channel. Just rewatching the recap for fun. Now, on to the interior of the not so cheap Cobra.
Killed it with this build.. can’t wait for some performance upgrades. See what she does at the track!

The Brembo's is what really sold me on a 1st gen V. Zero fad and total control. Very very powerful.

Electric cars are gonna flop
We don’t want a lot…just a small build of performance upgrades.
Great job
Binge watched the entire series on this car. Super satisfying. Nice work man!
My creative steel adjustable short shifter works WONDERFULLY with cups/bottles/tumblers in the cup holders.
Wow, I am awe of this car and also your talent to do what you’ve done to it. Thank you for sharing.
I consider myself a Ford guy, but even this GM content is great stuff Chris! Love seeing these cars being brought back to life!

Great video series!! What do you calculate your total man hours are?
Hard to say. 40-60ish? This is an interesting idea. I'll try to keep better track of this on the next build

Amazing series bro I loved it 💪🏽
Great job love the videos hope to find a deal like this when I get serious about looking for a V
@Chris i think i missed the video where you fixed the diff or diff bushings. What was the actual cause of the rear end clunk? 🤔
