LOVED THIS! In 2004 I had a 2003 Z06 corvette which at the time was a big deal because in 2002 it went to the 405 hp LS2 v8 which was up from the 2001 z06. While owning, the cts-v came out with the AMG and M competitor putting THE "big" z06 v8 in a CTS-V with the Tremec 6 sod. 5 second z06 powered 4 door sedan which at the time looked super cool with that mesh grill and wide fenders,. Lingenfelter cold air intake, throttle body and Borla straight pipes had it sounding so good!!! (ALTHOUGH THERE IS NO WORSE CAR IN SNOW!!!!). My c5 z06 was truly decent in the snow but my gen 1 Cts-V was epicly horrible!!! To where I could back out of the driveway onto packed down snow and literally NOT be able to move forward a foot! No clutch feathering or TC could get that beast moving lol. Had it several years and sold to buy the "new" c6 corvette but sold that several years later to buy THE Unicorn, 2011 CTS-V Wagon with the 6-Speed, triple black!! I wanted the 2 door coupe BUT had no idea how much my Unicorn would be worth today. Ugh. Sold that to go back a step buying a 2006 Lingenfelter c6 z06 corvette which was truly my favorite of all the vehicles I've owned. Sold that when my 3rd daughter was born but now looking into the last gen cts-v with that 640hp setup. Sadly for not a lot more a c8 corvette can be purchased lol but have the feeling that won't be for long as soon as the c8 hits the streets , the 3rd gen Cts-V should drop considerably as they are already seeing a drop in sales where it's been out a few years. The CTS-V has been a part of my 20's and 30's and greatful Cadillac took a chance on it! Almost bought an XLR-V thinking it was really cool looking and a Cadillac corvette but looking back a good choice to go cts-V as the XLr-V's values tanked hugely the second drove off the lot and a supercharged northstar v8 was definitely not a supercharged Corvette motor lol. The CTS has been replaced by the CT5. The V-Series is no longer the top performance for Cadillac. It is now called the Blackwing. The CTS-V has been replaced by the CT5-V. The upcoming CT5-V Blackwing is going to be the top performance sedan and it is going to have "More Power Baby!" than the outgoing CTS-V. @@offroadjax979 Well... I'm gonna get in eventually
I remember James May drove a ctsv on top gear and from that day i was sold
Yeah idk why that wasn't mentioned
Just copped my 2012 cts v and loving the freaking thing “MOOO POWWAA BAYBEE”
“Just bought the new Cadillac CTS-VROOM”
😂😂😂😂
V = vroom
(Edit)
☹️🥺 V = victory
Vtec
That mo powa segment was heart warming, I miss the student guy, never thought I would
"Very nice interior"
I tossed a pizza box onto my friends CTSV dashboard and it shattered like glass
At least you found out that your pizza had a lot of iron in it.
Nice interior not strong
Yeah but that’s your friends CTSV, not yours. It doesn’t count
Am I the only one who gets hyped up when James says “Mo powerrrr baebbbyy”😝
Best Ls platform to date, best used performance sedan on a budget that you buy today period. Mine is currently making 795whp and running mid 9s with the stock blower (ported) I wish I got a wagon
*luxury muscle car?*
never have simple words been so incompatible with each other
I got a 98 deville and it is awesome, I cut off the muffler its really loud, and it pulls hard, the only complaint is that its fwd
1997 Seville sts is faster papi
Buy a magnaflow exhaust system. Great sound for American cars.
Own an 06 DTS, front wheel drive v8? Yes please

RS6 Avant: I'm the coolest wagon!
E63 AMG Wagon: No, I'M the coolest wagon!
???: Amateurs!!
RS6 Avant: WHAT WAS THAT, PUNK!
CTS-V Wagon: AMATEURS!!!!!!!
this is the cringiest comment i've seen
Lord, this statement is uber funny!
@@lebronjames4705 nah I get that
The cringe federation is looking for the cringiest comment, I think they found it
Before i watch this video: i don’t care about this car !
After this video: I want this car !
it's amazing how education can alter one's appetite
@Blck Mach1 I own one, and still want one.
It’s more appealing now after watching the video, but, this is still GM build quality we’re talking about. No thanks
Next
Up to speed group c
Up to speed le mans
If you need a story on group c,check out aidan millward's vid,it's really good
The CTS-V 2-door Supercharged V8 my next dream car
"V stands for VROOM" 😂
*QUIRKS & FEATURES INFESTS*
I’ve been trying to decide if I want to scoop up a CTS V, and this shows up on my feed. I guess this answers my question.
MORE POWER BABY!!
My dad had a 2012 sedan and it was my favorite car he owned
ß is the “ss” sound not a “buh” sound
Yea like the GTA beer brand Pißwasser XD
I sold my C5 corvette for a CTS-v since I have 2 kids now. Easy compromise to make. the CTS-V is great. Literally the only real point of contention is a whiny rear diff that I worry will snap if i launch it too hard. I am ready to swap it with another.
We're talking 650-700 horsepower and a top speed over 200 m.p.h. It is going to be a monster. Stay tuned!!!
Seriously, who would actually thinks that a Cadillac CTS-V would be an “old persons car”
Actually I think that cats should be cheaper
I watched this again just to watch the “mo powa baby!” part 😂😂😂
I thought I was the only person walking around yelling, "Mo powa baby!"
Damn!
Damn indeed
An up to speed on the other Vs would be amazing. The incredibly rare sts and xlr Vs were super slept on.
Rare and awesome but Northstar engine isn't as mod friendly as the LS based engines
XLR v was terrible
@@tburah1 yes i agree, its not as friendly but can be done. theres a sts-v pushing 600 whp. now yeah theres a ton of custom fab into it. but it can be done, and also that cars supercharger whine is impeccable
@@jamesjohnsoniii4246 Anything but
they should done a whole V episode
Hey, I'm just glad you mentioned the STS. The STS's are so underrated.
