She’s so curious!
I had a doe that thought she was a dog. Mom rejected her and she was the only baby and the dogs taught her to ask to go outside to potty. She also raised her hackles and try to growl like them from the window.
Oh my gosh that’s awesome!! if we ever figured out how to potty train goats, Mr. Reeve would have every goat in the country living in our house. Ha!

There’s a new spray on the market that “might” help with goat stink and it’s called Pooph Odor Remover - and that’s the correct spelling. It’s very good for all odors around the house and pets, and safe enough to use on pets. They also have a “skunk odor” remover and several others. It’s sold at Walmart and online. Love the channel and videos.

By the way some times our son fights with us about getting into the bath. We joke with him telling him he smells like a goat. Awwww! I’ll tell you a secret. I had a not so fun goat experience in first grade, and I have hated goats forever. But when I saw how much I loved my Reeve, and how much he loved goats, well, I quickly converted. Merry Christmas my sweet friend.

nice looking goats, hopefully you will have lots of kiddos in the spring. The dogs looks so good in their luxurious winter coat. I'm thinking of getting a Maremma as well when our old dog goes. I love my Pyrenees but I like the fact that the Maremma have a shorter coat and they don't get as matted as the Pyrenees. Merry Christmas and enjoy getting to know your new additions.

Last years lack of babies was totally our fault. We tried to over organize breeding season. We just need to let things happen naturally and put everybody in together for a month or so. Hopefully we’ll have lots of babies this May. Merry Christmas friend!

Have you ever tryed Febreze to get rid of the buck smell. I know it works for skunk smell on a dog. So I think it might work for goat smell.

Hey friend! I haven’t tried that. But that’s very impressive that it can get the skunk smell off a dog! I used to make a homemade version of Febreze, rather than paying the cost on the shelf. Maybe I’ll try that, thanks for the great idea. Merry Christmas!

Yep, you get yourself and your kiddo situated first. Don’t worry they’ll be lots of goats here until you’re ready. Ha! I will tell you, though… the moment you see a baby goat, it’s over. You will find a way to bring that baby home. That’s how we got hoodwinked into our first 2 goats, Hansel and Gretel. Ha!

What do you guys do mostly with the goats ? Are they just pets or is it the milk you get from them that makes you get more ?
We breed Nigerian Dwarfs for babies, milk, and the fertilizer they produce. Some people buy the babies as pets, and others as dairy goats. Pretty much Mr. Reeve loves goats and I love Mr. Reeve, so we have lots of goats. And we’ve found ways to make a business out of them to support Mr. Reeves goat addiction. Ha! Actually, we get milk, and make butter and farm cheese for the whole year with the milk we get over the summer. Merry Christmas friend.
OK, so why are the other people getting rid of their goats? Are they getting out of the goaty business?
And are any of these new goats that will arrive sooner or later be milked
Hey Miss Andrea! The goat’s original family has been loving and breeding papered Nigerian Dwarfs for many years. They are retiring from goat breeding and wanted us to take their herd because they know we would love and care for babies. 😊 All these ladies will breed with our bucks and have babies in May. We plan it that way so it’s warm when the babies are born. Then…lots of milk! Ha! Be blessed and Merry Christmas friend. 💕

I couldn’t live off grid because I couldn’t imagine myself killing any animals I starve in the world The only thing I could kill is a fish. I love animals for pets that’s it all your farm animals are cute especially Daisy oh my Lord you have tons of snow ❄️ normally by this time in Ontario Canada, we have snow but unfortunate. We don’t have any yet. I don’t think we’re gonna get any until the second week of January. They say seems like every year it comes later and later every year. again, happy New Year’s is in about nine hours from now my time I think you guys are three hours behind I’m pretty sure

I am to old for that now I am almost 60 years old now and if TH-cam back in my day when I was in my early twenties for a month every summer I used to GMC van all over canada but TH-cam started in 1995 when I was 19 years old I built a cabin in northern Ontario it was only 20x20 had no insulation a couple of windows and a wood stove did that for three years

Are you sitting down…they pee all over themselves because they think the ladies like it, which they unfortunately do. They also have pretty substantial musk glands. They will get a washing this summer for sure. Ha! Goats are skilled enough to even pee straight on their faces. Ha! Hansel is a wether so he doesn’t have as many boy hormones. That’s why he has short hair and not that long crazy hair, and he never smells bad. He’s always up for a hug. 😊 So, lesson of the day. Don’t ever pet an intact buck on his face. Ha!
