    Great to see a community of people working together while respecting the natural world, giving thanks for what they have. A great comment included about living 'with' the land, not off of it. A whole show and no one on a cell phone.

    It's awesome to see a Father pour knowledge into their children. The reward is when they have done it by themselves and the results were positive. Then,you KNOW they were listening! 😂

    why is it i never feel happy seeing a tree falling?

  • @bretharley7480
    @bretharley7480 ปีที่แล้ว

    Anyone know why there is a ring of bark removed just above the cut line of the two trees they cut down? They can be seen at 5:00 and 30:50

    • @naturalstatenversion3484
      @naturalstatenversion3484 ปีที่แล้ว

      Marked beforehand for falling maybe?

    • @Marduk443
      @Marduk443 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      removing the bark all the way around kills the tree. this is done some time before you want to cut the tree so the tree dies and dryes standing. by the time you fell it it’s already dry

    • @jerryrogers9703
      @jerryrogers9703 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    That walrus hunting method seems very unproductive. Obviously it's been done forever, but bombing around with an outboard, and rifles, being very noisy, and wearing dark clothes seems like a way to not be successful. Good luck out there!!
